The crowd swarmed around Jasper, taking his attention, and then I felt Colin's eyes on me. With the focus diverted from us, Colin leaned in and whispered in my ear.

"Jasper may try to win you now just for the fun of it, but don’t forget who’s always been there for you, who knows you better than anyone, who would tolerate your crab," Colin said.
