Seventeen years later: Chapter One: Carrie “Carrie?” I called out as I saw her stomping past the window. She did not stop, but a few moments later, I heard my mother enter the room. She looked exhausted and drained. I knew then that they must have had yet another disagreement. My father, Alpha Aaron, was away on a business meeting and had left me to help my mother with anything she needed. “Luke, did you see where Carrie went?” she looked worried, and I was sure Carrie would not want to be disturbed if she were in a terrible mood.
