" Sanjiv, don't you want to join us for lunch? " Asked one of Sanjiv's colleagues, Vinod. standing at the entrance of Sanjiv's cabinet.
" Naah, you guys carry on...I have some important work to finish " Sanjiv replied, without looking up, he was engrossed in checking the files.
" Ok....as you say " saying that Vinod left as he knows Sanjiv doesn't like to repeal himself.
As soon as Vinod left, Sanjiv placed the files on his table, putting both hands on the back of his head. Sanjiv rested his back leaning more on his chair.
Leaving a long sigh, he gazed at the wall in front of him.
His mind was occupied with so many thoughts. He was recollecting the things which happened around him in these two months. Everything around him was changing so fast, he became a married man from a bachelor. Now he has to look after his wife and her needs, he has to be more responsible and protective towards his wife, he's not anymore the careless bachelor. Hereafter he has to think before doing anything because every single thing surrounding him will also affect his wife.
A smudged smile appeared on his lips, remembering last night's moments between him and koushalya.
It's been two months since their marriage, and yesterday night was the moment that he wished for so long. Every single day from their marriage, he was Controlling himself around her, although it was hard for him.
He never thought that they would consummate their marriage out of blue, but they did. And it was pure bliss for him.
For him!
Pulling out a small box from the drawer he smiled even more looking at that box.
It was a heart-shaped diamond ring, which he bought for koushalya a few days ago. He planned to give her at a special occasion, and yesterday night was exceptional. So he decided to give her today onwards as it will be a memorable moment for them.
Standing up from his chair, Sanjiv put the box in his pent pocket. He arranged his files on the table desk as it was before and left the cabinet shutting off.
He almost completed his work, and it was past lunch hour. But he wanted to meet his wife at this moment itself. He couldn't resist taking a day off from his office and leaving for home to see his wife, who was a little was little upset with him because he didn't pay paid attention to her in the morning.
He knew it, he knew koushalya was desperate to talk with him but Sanjiv needed some time alone to sync up his feelings. That's why he ignored her and left for office.
He needs to figure out what he is feeling for her, is that just attraction or lust. Or beyond these things? The first time he met her for their alliance. He was impressed by her looks and personality. He thought they would make a good couple.
Koushalya is his EXPECTATION. She is just like how he wants his wife to be. She looks after his needs, she cares for him, she does whatever he asks her. Just like how he wants. She adopts herself as per the situation and demands along with people around her, and that's what made him like her even more. Her elegance and calm nature attract him like a flower attracts a bee. He never thought that he would get a wife who is beautiful with a brain. Although sometimes her smartness overshadows him, nevertheless he hopes that soon she would be under his control. Sanjiv is a control freak, he has the weird habit of taking everything under his control because it gives him the satisfaction of being a powerful man. He tends to control everything, everyone.
Being an introvert and a desperate husband didn't help him much to mingle with her. Well, he messed up on their wedding night itself, he thought she must be waiting for his touch and she is shy to ask for it, but all his assumptions turned out wrong when she denied him to consume their marriage. He felt rejected and humiliated, but he didn't show that to her. After that night he always kept a safe distance between them because he didn't want to face the same rejection twice from her. But again his decision turned out wrong, as they end up like roommates, living on the same roof, and don't have any other connection apart from that, but Sanjiv understood his mistakes when he felt her for the first time. Last night helped him to create a connection between them, maybe intimacy will help them to make everything normal between them. Again he assumed that way.
Sanjiv stepped down from his car, as he reached their apartment. He doesn't have any idea what he will say to her, and what he will do. All he knows is, right now at this moment he wants to be with his wife. And Sanjiv is the person who does things according to his mindset. Whether It's good or bad, he will stick by his decisions.
Running his fingers on his hair, Sanjiv rang the doorbell for the sixth time. Yet koushalya didn't open the door. Strange.
Because it didn't happen before, koushalya always opens the door at the maximum second bell.
She must be sleeping, Sanjiv thought and unlocked the door with his spare key which he always keeps with his car keys for an emergency.
Opening the main door with a 'tuck' sound, Sanjiv came inside and locked the door.
Removing his shoes, Sanjiv walked straight to their bedroom to check if koushalya is sleeping there. But to his confusion grew big when koushalya wasn't there.
" Koushy " not being able to find her anywhere near, he called out her name a bit louder.
" Koushy " again he called out but silence is the only response he got.
He checked the kitchen, guest room, and terrace but she wasn't there.
He even called on her phone, but Koushalya's phone was lying on their bed.
Now this made him more perplexed, where did she go leaving her phone behind?
Author's POV Sanjiv was restless from the moment when he didn't find koushy at home, adding to that koushy left her phone behind. Now, how will I contact her? He was stressed over her. Should I wait till koushy returns from wherever she is or should ask our neighbors? Sanjiv was thinking of possibilities to know Koushalya's Wearhouse. Losing his peach color tie Sanjiv sat on the couch being mentally exhausted. He thought he would surprise her by giving her an unexpected visit, he even imagined her doe eyes with a wide smile, when he would give her the ring. But now everything will be the opposite as he will be surprised after knowing Koushalya's Wearhouse. At least she could have informed me, thought Sanjiv while running his palm over his face. It was already 3:30, and extremely exhausted, Sanjiv got up from the couch and walked to the main door to look after his wife. He just couldn't simply
Autor's POV Koushalya was sleeping peacefully, her previous thoughts about her husband and her future gave her hope. She eventually slept thinking about all those imaginary moments between her and Sanjiv. When Sanjiv came back from the kitchen, with lemon juice he found her sleeping peacefully. He didn't have the heart to wake her up. Placing the juice glass on the table, he pulled the duvet over her. Bending down till her level he placed a gentle kiss on her temple adjusting her few baby hairs which were falling on her face. Seeing her sleeping figure he felt so calm inside him, he always felt this calmness whenever she is around him. It's like she carries a positive vibe all the time. One by one he was gazing at her facial features, and at last his eyes stuck on her fuller lips which attracted him to touch it, suck it, and whatnot. Last night moments played inside his mind, h
Author's POV Koushalya gazed at his face for a good few seconds, hoping that he might be joking but when she saw the seriousness on his face. She understood. He's not joking. The atmosphere was getting serious just like their conversation. " Sanjiv, we have already talked about it before marriage.....you even assured me that you will never put rules regarding my job...then what changed you know ? " koushy asked him being impatient.....she got up from their bed and stood there facing him. While Sanjiv was still in his previous place. " See.....I said that in a different situation, and now......now it's different " Sanjiv told her with a poker face. He doesn't like to explain himself to anyone, and koushy is exceptional. " And what is different now? " Koushy asked, narrowing her eyebrows. She is too impatient to know his actual reason. " The difference is, now we are married.....I have
Author's POV " What do you mean? " Koushalya asked him being demented. "Yeah....... that day we had a big issue at our office, our one of chief manager misbehaved with one of the new interns......her name is vaani........she was our junior, that asshole manager got suspended for his deeds.......that day I was too disturbed to talk with anyone, that's why I didn't pick up your call....can you imagine how worst she would have felt when he touched her improperly, how disgusted she would have felt knowing his intention...and I don't even want you to imagine those things.......I just can't see you in her place..... please just for me.... this would be the last thing I'm asking you to quit.... please.....for me " koushy gazed at him with helpless eyes. She can't ignore his pleadings, and besides, she is deeply touched by his concern for her. Now she got his point, he doesn't want her to hurt....he doesn't want her to face the painful traumas.. that'
Author's POV " Where's my blue shirt? " "I can't find my watch " " Why is my pen isn't ironed yet? " " Is breakfast ready? " " I'm getting late kou " Before Sanjiv can spell Koushalya's name for another time his eyes meet with her glasses. Koushalya was standing at the entrance of their bedroom leaning on the door, while Sanjiv standing in front of the dressing table wrapping a towel around his waist. Water buds were flowing from his head to his V line. " What? Stop staring at me and start helping me koushy, I'm getting late " Sanjiv said with a frown. Koushy shook her head and walked inside with a 'done with it ' look. She went to his closet and took out his blue shirt along with a gray pent, which was ironed of course. Hending his clothes to him, koushy went to the dressing table and took out his watch from the first drawer, and put it on the table glaring at him.&n
Author's POV But as soon as she opened the door her smile faded away and a sadly surprised look took over her. " Mom, dad? '' Koushalya spoke with a hint of sadness when she saw her in-laws at the doorstep, instead of her husband. " See, my idea of surprise worked, " said Muthu with a proud smile while his wife Supriya nodded in agreement. Sanjiv's mother, Supriya, and his father Muthu smiled seeing their daughter in law, koushy covered her sadness with a smile and welcomed them Koushalya was a bit disappointed with Sanjeev not being there, that doesn't mean she dislikes her in-laws. Of Course not. She loves her in-laws just like she loves her parents. It's just she was expecting her husband and when she couldn't find him there, the sudden sadness took a few minutes to process. It's almost going to be three months of Koushalya and Sanjiv's marriage. And this is the first time that San
Author's POV Koushalya gasped as her back hit the wall, while Sanjiv placed both hands on either side of hers making her sandwich between the wall and him. His brown orbs were on her without any disturbance of the atmosphere. Koushalya raised her eyes bro at him still with the same stern face. He was annoying her by his bipolar behavior, at one moment he would ignore her, and the next moment he would behave as if she was his world. Sometimes understanding him is hard. She feels like here about what he wants and what he's doing. In these three months she understood one thing vastly, he doesn't have a clear mindset. Koushalya was pulled out from her thoughts when she felt him leaning towards her more. Taking off his one hand from the wall, Sanjiv placed it on her waist, maintaining eye contact with her. Slowly leaning towards her, he was just inches apart from her lips. Abruptly Koushalya stopped him by placing her pal
Author's POV " Please " " No " " Please.... please... Sanju " " I said no... means No " " But I like this one, please only once let me try this for once " Koushalya beamed pointing her index finger towards a black-colored flower printed jumpsuit, which gain Koushalya's attention by its classic design. She can already imagine herself in that dress. It was a normal Sunday when Sanjiv and Koushalya decided to go shopping as it's been a long time since they shopped. It's been almost a month since they have become usual with each other after their fight. Sanjiv's parents went back to their village after spending some time with their son and daughter-in-law. They were already done with groceries and snacks for the rest of the month and finally walked into the clothing section. Where Koushalya's all attention went to the black-colored jumpsuit which was displayed in the front row of the
Author's POV. Sneaking her head out from the warm blanket Koushalya yawned looking at the wall clock, which was placed straight to their bed. she lazily turned to her right side pulling the blanket more to cover herself. her lips starched for a smile when her eyes fell on the sight that she would love to cherish for her lifetime. Ram was sleeping beside her, half of his face was covered due to his messy hairs which were all over his face. Koushalya dragged herself more close to him while she ran her fingers in his smooth and silky hairs. her eyes traveled on the other part of her body. his blanket was a little displaced due to the starching and moving of him in the bed. she could drool over his muscles for all days, he fascinated her like no one ever did. Author's POV Ram was nervously walking outside of the operation theater, every passing second felt as if it was an eternity to him. His beating heart was not ready to slow down from the moment the doctor took Koushalya inside the operation theater. It's been half an hour since they started to treat her yet her painful screams weren't stopping. rubbing his temple being in highly strung horses Ram mouthed a few positive words to himself. his throat went dry when he heard another shrieked cry of hers. Her cries make him tenser. his glossy eyes roamed around the hallway area. his parents were sitting on the waiting chair, his father was holding the hand of his mother it seemed as if he was consoling his wife. and her sister was standing outside of the door, peeking inside the operation theater. They were trying hard to keep a stabl
Author's POV " love you " he confessed she smiled in delight hearing those words from him. she felt a sense of archiving something that always meant for her, something that she deserved all this while - to be loved by someone unconditionally. she couldn't put her tones of emotions into words to express in front him how pleased she is at this moment. a person like him deserved to be loved back too, who showed her heaven on earth. it's not about how good he is, it's about how good he has a heart for her, such a pure and Benevolent person, that somebody hardly meets in life now's-a-day. he promised her to give her the family that she always wished for, and now he stood on his words. marrying her, he made her his
Author's POV one will not find the love which is perfect but find a love that reminds us how worthy we were always. This kind of love always makes us realize that we were never asking for too much. This love puts some sense into our head about how blindly we were always ready to break ourselves to bring happiness in the person's life who was never meant to be yours. This love makes you know that some people are only meant to cross paths with you, that is all. they're not meant to stay with you forever. Some people are passer's in our journey that is all about our growth, healing, and happiness. Once they leave, we have to move on with our lives, because that's how we live or we were taught to live. Koushalya has decided to let go of her past wh
Author's POV The evening sun cast long shadows on the ground, The slanting rays of the setting sun gave a warm orange tinge to the sky. Kaushalya shivered when the longitudinal pressure waves traveled to her ears with a soft rustling sound, as the winds passed through the tree branches and leaves, the movements of objects created a vibration in the air. Wrapping her arms with each other, Koushalya rested her back on the hard surface of the bench in park. She quietly enjoyed staring at those kids who were giggling and jumping around the park. A few kids were playing some random games which she was trying to figure out from the past two hours. she smiled knowing one day her kid will also play in this park while she would dreamily admire her child. cherishing her palm on her belly, koushalya looked down at her fully grown stomach. She is now at the
Author's POV Koushalya's eyes flickered a few times before she opened them, still half asleep. She roamed her eyes around the room, she realized it wasn't her room. It took her a few seconds to memorize what happened last night. her cheeks turned into beetroot knowing she was sleeping in his arms. goosebumps arrived on her skin being this close with him. her head was nearly on his crook of the neck while he was holding her from her waist. she could smell his natural body scent which made her blush hard. The duvet was no longer on them due to their sleeping position. her hands were surrounding him. lifting her head she made sure that he's still asleep. Koushalya smiled seeing his calm and peaceful features. His one-week-old unshaved beards were covering almost all his face parts, his thick eyebrows and perfect round shaped eyes were on show for h
Author's POV Koushalya turned to her right side and tried to concentrate on her sleep, but the discomfort of her lower region was not letting her catch some sleep. cherishing her palms over her belly she yawned lazily while opening her eyes. seeing the darkness around her, she took a moment to adjust her gaze. placing her hands on the bed she lifted herself to sit straight on the bed. spreading her legs wide she made herself a little comfortable. Nowadays she feels good while stinging her legs, this string position gives a few moments of rest to her grown belly. She feels more comfortable on the floor than on the couch or chair. Sometimes she can feel the stretching of her belly. till her second trimester, she enjoyed the boost of energy she had got, but now as she began with the third trimester she started to feel a little more tired than
Author's POV " pick the damn call " Ram irritably whispered, rubbing his temple. his unstable eyes were roaming around him for no reason at all. with each passing minute, the tension was building up inside him, making his heartbeats rise. " shit.." he cursed, throwing his phone on the bed, his phone jumped once on the bed due to his force. For the two horses, he was trying to call Koushalya who had been not attending his call, and after ten missed calls from him she switched off her phone giving him a mini heart attack. Ram was tensed not knowing what to do, where to find her. He needed to communicate with her in any way but she wasn't cooperating. &nbs
Author's POV Ram was standing at the edge of a balcony relay with his hands inside his pants pocket. his eyes were staring at the gloomy and rush full city. The starry sky was aglow with bright city lights. The pale crescent shone like a silvery claw in the night sky. He looked up at the blanket of stars that stretched to infinity. a wave of chill wind hit his skin to bring him back to the real world from his imaginary world. running his fingers in his hairs, he breathed In that calm nature. A silly smile followed him thinking of how grateful he is for the people and things he gets in his life. first his parents then his sister and now Koushalya. he felt like God is being too good to him by granting his wishes. today
