Author's POV
Turning off the shower Koushalya took the towel from the hanger and wrapped herself into it. She took another towel and dried her hair with it, and kept that towel in its place.
Gazing at herself in the mirror she touched her collarbone where Sanjiv had given her a big wide hickey last night. She smiled remembering their passionate night.
It's been a few minutes since she woke up and decided to take a shower first. Sanjiv was busy with some phone office calls.
As he already told her that he doesn't know how to make a coffee, Koushalya had no choice other than to get up from bed and do her stuff on her own. Although she was feeling tired and exhausted she doesn't have a choice here.
Walking out of the bathroom she went to her cupboard and took out a plain peach-colored Kurti paired up with white ankle pants.
She hurriedly changed into clothes and put her slightly wet hair in a bun. Applying vermilion on her hair
Koushalya's POV " The person you're calling is not answering, please try again later " getting irritated by the same voice again and again I threw my mobile on the bed in frustration. It's been two days since Sanju left for France, he messaged me about his whereabouts after reaching his hotel room, that's all. Nor he picked my calls nor did he reply to my messages. He is avoiding my messages and that hurts me. I should have talked to him instead of waiting for him to initiate first. Now I'm missing him like anything. I badly want to talk to him, but he isn't even answering my calls. He just pinged a text message informing me that he reached his respective hotel room. I still don't know why he is behaving like I have done something wrong. It's him. He was being careless, he's the one who should be running behind me to convince me but here everything is happening in reverse mode. He's avoiding me, ignoring my messages and ca
Author's POV Tears were flowing through her cheeks from her bloodshot eyes. Sniffing painfully she sat on the edge of the bed. Her tears-filled eyes were stuck on the shattered photo frame which she threw out of anger and pain. It was their marriage photo frame, the same photo which she used to admire once. But now, the same photo disgusts her whenever she looks at it. Sometimes the things which give you happiness, the same things can give you pain too. Their whole room is a mess, just like her life. Wiping her tears, Koushalya looked at those torn diary pages along with a few photos lying on the floor, in which her husband was kissing another woman's cheek. Love was visible in his eyes, sad thing is the love wasn't for her, it was for other women. Nothing can be more painful than knowing your loved one loved Someone else more than you.The photo looked old and might be from his college time. That means he had a relationship before and he hid it from Koushalya. It's not his past
Author's POV " ammaaaaaa " Koushalya sat on the bed sweating profusely, panting hard she looked at her surrounding to make sure that she isn't any more a part of the horrible site which she saw in her evil dream.Nightmare! her scream was loud enough to wake her mom who was sleeping beside her." What happened koushy, are you okay ?" she heard her mom's worried-filled voice. Turning her head towards her mom koushy replied " nothing maa, just bad dream " Koushalya's eyes were stuck on the wall clock. 3:49 AM. " I have told you thousands of times not to roam at a terrace at midnight, now see the effects. " Her mom mumbled while handing her a glass of water. Koushalya didn't respond to her mom's words as she knows even if she had a headache her mom will blame the ghost, which doesn't even exist, And roaming on the terrace is something that she does whenever she misses Sanjiv. Yes,
Sanjiv's POV I had a hectic day, first I had to complete my work in five days instead of seven days. I wanted to return to India as soon as possible because I can't be away from her for more than a week. Only I know how I spent these five days. She is my drug. At first, I thought I should teach her a lesson for questioning me, that's why I gave her a silent treatment. I ignored her calls and messages too. Even though I was missing her and wanted to talk to her, I just couldn't do that. She needs to know her limits. It should be me who questions, not her. Spending five days without her was hard for me too, but at the same time, she deserves punishment for trying to dominate me. I guess Five days of the silent treatment is enough for her. That's why I decided to complete my work as soon as possible, and then I ran to the airport so that I could fly to India only to surprise my wife. I thought I would get a warm welcome from her. I expected
Author's POV Sanjiv can see the fear in her eyes, for a moment he was satisfied by seeing fear in her eyes. He likes it when her eyes reflect how strong and superior he is. Koushalya looked away while trying to take his hands from her waist, her inner self screaming in frustration. As she struggled to take off his hands, Sanjiv pressed his fingers hard so that it could leave a mark on her waist. Greeting his teeth in sheer anger he spoke " what's wrong with you? "Koushalya snapped at him digging holes inside him with her glares. The whole room was in pin-drop silence. " you're asking me what is wrong with me? Ask yourself " she pushed him away with all her might and was about to take the first step when again Sanjiv caged her with his arms. " Leave me " Koushalya whispered due to a lack of strength, she didn't eat anything in the morning, even though coffee wasn't her fate today. Locking
Koushalya's POV. gazing out of the window I took a hold of a coffee mug and sipped it. A sudden relief hit me When the warm liquid passed through my throat. Now I'm feeling lighter than before. After whatever happened in this one week, I'm drained out of energy. My headache had taken a toll on me since morning, but after having coffee I felt as if my headache flew away. An abrupt wave of breeze hit my skin making me feel alive. The amount of peace I fetched right now, is all I wanted. Taking another sip of coffee closed my eyes for a moment, as soon as I closed my eyes Sanjiv's face came into view making me open my eyes in a jerk. Seems like I don't have the right to feel a few minutes of peace too. Right now, I'm sitting on the couch in our bedroom. My one leg is placed on the table in front of me, while another is on the floor. I'm more comfortable in this way of sitting positions. It's th
Author's POV The moment those words left her mouth, Sanjiv breathed in relief. A crooked smile appeared on the corner of his lips when he mentally cheered for himself. Wiping the sweat buds off from his forehead using his thumb. Sanjiv turned around facing Koushalya, who was impatient about his next move. Looking up at him, Koushalya smiled leisurely, still holding his hand into hers. Successfully she fell for his words. One day she will curse this day for sure. He did wrong, he lied. But he perplexed her with his words and made her guilty as if she is the one who did wrong. How clever he is. Sanjiv composed his emotions well and sat beside her still maintaining a decent distance between them. He didn't want to show his desperate side now. " Come again," he asked her to repeat one more time, just to make sure before getting into any other act. Koushalya pulle
Author's POV Sanjiv rang the doorbell for the 4rth time and waited for his wife to open the main door of their apartment. When he didn't get any response from the other side he sighed lazily and took out his keys from his pant pocket. He was exhausted with all the office work and meetings, all he wanted to do was lay down for a few minutes without any bother. Wrapping up his work in a hurry he ran out from his cabinet like a school kid who runs out of his class as soon as he hears the school bell. At last, when he reached his apartment he hoped to be welcomed by his wife with a warm smile, but it seems like today luck isn't in his favor. Because it's been a few minutes since Sanjiv is standing at their doorstep rang the doorbell again and again, but he didn't get any response from her. Wondering what caught her attention Sanjiv opened the door using his spare keys and stepped in. Locking the door after getti
Author's POV. Sneaking her head out from the warm blanket Koushalya yawned looking at the wall clock, which was placed straight to their bed. she lazily turned to her right side pulling the blanket more to cover herself. her lips starched for a smile when her eyes fell on the sight that she would love to cherish for her lifetime. Author's POV Ram was nervously walking outside of the operation theater, every passing second felt as if it was an eternity to him. His beating heart was not ready to slow down from the moment the doctor took Koushalya inside the operation theater. It's been half an hour since they started to treat her yet her painful screams weren't stopping. rubbing his temple being in highly strung horses Ram mouthed a few positive words to himself. his throat went dry when he heard another shrieked cry of hers. Her cries make him tenser. his glossy eyes roamed around the hallway area. his parents were sitting on the waiting chair, his father was holding the hand of his mother it seemed as if he was consoling his wife. and her sister was standing outside of the door, peeking inside the operation theater. Author's POV " love you " he confessed she smiled in delight hearing those words from him. she felt a sense of archiving something that always meant for her, something that she deserved all this while - to be loved by someone unconditionally. she couldn't put her tones of emotions into words to express in front him how pleased she is at this moment. a person like him deserved to be loved back too, who showed her heaven on earth. it's not about how good he is, it's about how good he has a heart for her, such a pure and Benevolent person, that somebody hardly meets in life now's-a-day. he promised her to give her the family that she always wished for, and now he stood on his words. marrying her, he made her his
Author's POV one will not find the love which is perfect but find a love that reminds us how worthy we were always. This kind of love always makes us realize that we were never asking for too much. This love puts some sense into our head about how blindly we were always ready to break ourselves to bring happiness in the person's life who was never meant to be yours. This love makes you know that some people are only meant to cross paths with you, that is all. they're not meant to stay with you forever. Some people are passer's in our journey that is all about our growth, healing, and happiness. Once they leave, we have to move on with our lives, because that's how we live or we were taught to live. Koushalya has decided to let go of her past wh
Author's POV The evening sun cast long shadows on the ground, The slanting rays of the setting sun gave a warm orange tinge to the sky. Kaushalya shivered when the longitudinal pressure waves traveled to her ears with a soft rustling sound, as the winds passed through the tree branches and leaves, the movements of objects created a vibration in the air. Wrapping her arms with each other, Koushalya rested her back on the hard surface of the bench in park. She quietly enjoyed staring at those kids who were giggling and jumping around the park. A few kids were playing some random games which she was trying to figure out from the past two hours. she smiled knowing one day her kid will also play in this park while she would dreamily admire her child. cherishing her palm on her belly, koushalya looked down at her fully grown stomach. She is now at the
Author's POV Koushalya's eyes flickered a few times before she opened them, still half asleep. She roamed her eyes around the room, she realized it wasn't her room. It took her a few seconds to memorize what happened last night. her cheeks turned into beetroot knowing she was sleeping in his arms. goosebumps arrived on her skin being this close with him. her head was nearly on his crook of the neck while he was holding her from her waist. she could smell his natural body scent which made her blush hard. The duvet was no longer on them due to their sleeping position. her hands were surrounding him. lifting her head she made sure that he's still asleep. Koushalya smiled seeing his calm and peaceful features. His one-week-old unshaved beards were covering almost all his face parts, his thick eyebrows and perfect round shaped eyes were on show for h
Author's POV Koushalya turned to her right side and tried to concentrate on her sleep, but the discomfort of her lower region was not letting her catch some sleep. cherishing her palms over her belly she yawned lazily while opening her eyes. seeing the darkness around her, she took a moment to adjust her gaze. placing her hands on the bed she lifted herself to sit straight on the bed. spreading her legs wide she made herself a little comfortable. Nowadays she feels good while stinging her legs, this string position gives a few moments of rest to her grown belly. She feels more comfortable on the floor than on the couch or chair. Sometimes she can feel the stretching of her belly. till her second trimester, she enjoyed the boost of energy she had got, but now as she began with the third trimester she started to feel a little more tired than
Author's POV " pick the damn call " Ram irritably whispered, rubbing his temple. his unstable eyes were roaming around him for no reason at all. with each passing minute, the tension was building up inside him, making his heartbeats rise. " shit.." he cursed, throwing his phone on the bed, his phone jumped once on the bed due to his force. For the two horses, he was trying to call Koushalya who had been not attending his call, and after ten missed calls from him she switched off her phone giving him a mini heart attack. Ram was tensed not knowing what to do, where to find her. He needed to communicate with her in any way but she wasn't cooperating. &nbs
Author's POV Ram was standing at the edge of a balcony relay with his hands inside his pants pocket. his eyes were staring at the gloomy and rush full city. The starry sky was aglow with bright city lights. The pale crescent shone like a silvery claw in the night sky. He looked up at the blanket of stars that stretched to infinity. a wave of chill wind hit his skin to bring him back to the real world from his imaginary world. running his fingers in his hairs, he breathed In that calm nature. A silly smile followed him thinking of how grateful he is for the people and things he gets in his life. first his parents then his sister and now Koushalya. he felt like God is being too good to him by granting his wishes. today
