“Where were you, Rene? I was looking for you,” Ezrene heard her mother asking her as soon as she entered the hall. Ziven was also standing beside her and they both were completely dressed up which told her that they were about to leave in order to select their engagement venue. Both of their eyes were fixed at her.

“I was in the terrace,” she lied as she knew her mother had looked for her in the garden after Asael told that lie to her, so that was why she came up with another lie to support his lie properly.

“Oh….Okay. Asael told me he saw you going in the garden’s direction when I asked him about you,” Seana uttered and Ezrene noticed Ziven’s reaction just at the mention of Asael’s name but his facial expression remained calm and totally composed. He never let it show on his face what kind of brutality he was holding inside him, especially for his own son.

“Yes, I went to the garden and after that, I went to the terrace to get a view,” she told her mother another lie to cover it up.
