In the morning she was not at all fresh but had to go to work. The weather was good, there was a lot of rush in the park and all the guests were enjoying it, thankfully no problem or accident happened.
The day was still going well; she was praying that he would cancel the meeting with her or that he would have some urgent work and leaves the city.
She kept waiting till twelve o'clock in the day that maybe he should cancel the meeting and go back, he had so many business, he could not waste time by stopping here in the amusement park.
At 12:30, she asked one of her colleagues to take over the office, put on a coat over her green color uniform that she wanted to look professional and bravely headed towards Mr. Daniel's office on the second floor.
This was the office which was cleaned every day, but he never stepped here. All the staff on the upper floor were alert, Mr. Sanders, the general manager of this park, was also ready.
"Hello Nancy." She came up and wished the office secretary.
"Why is it so quiet? Why isn't everyone talking?" Tasha asked in surprise.
"Everyone is doing serious work today because..." Nancy leaned forward.
"The big boss has come." She whispered.
"Four years ago, Mr. Bruno bought this park and today he came here for the first time and... I used to think he was an old man. But surprisingly he is an absolutely handsome and gorgeous. Oh my God. When he walked in, I just fell flat at the sight of him.” Nancy took a deep breath and closed her eyes, envisioning him.
"Nancy." Tasha put her hand on her shoulder and shook her.
"Oh, yes, I remember. The boss said that as soon as you come, I will send you in. Are you ready?" Nancy asked and she nodded her head.
"Boss! Miss Tasha is here." She picked up the intercom and reported inside.
"You can go inside." Turning off the intercom, Nancy beckoned her inside. Controlling her racing heart, she came to the door of the office.
"Miss Jane, come inside." She was still at the door when Daniel, who was sitting on a revolving chair with his laptop open on a large glass table, looked up and ordered her to enter.
“How did he know it was me?” She entered inside showing herself strong thinking.
"I recognized you from your perfume." He was reading her thoughts by looking at her face.
“When did he come so close to me that he recognized the scent of my perfume?” She fell into thought again.
“Oh. Yesterday at the dispensary when he held her wrist.” Her face turned red, remembering the scene.
"Sit down." He pointed to the chair in front of her, so she got out of her thoughts, controlling her trembling legs, and chose one of the leather chairs in front of her.
There was a call on his cell phone. After talking for two minutes, he turned off his phone and kept it on the table.
"How are you Miss Jane?" He asked politely.
“Did he want to confuse me? Does anyone ask about the situation before firing him?” A thought ran in her mind.
"Miss Jane." He shuddered.
"Yes, sir. I'm fine. Tell me how Eva is now. How is her wound?" She snarled.
"Well!" He smiled. "Eva is fine and as far as the injury is concerned, yesterday you gave such a big lecture, so I can only hope that it will be fine."
"Thank God! I was very worried about this girl. Many times I thought of calling and asking about her well-being, but I didn't have her number and I didn't even know where you were. Otherwise, I would have sent the company's doctor in the morning." She had composed herself and answer confidently.
"I am staying at our hotel." He stood up talking normally.
"My company's main head office is in Chicago. My own residence is also here. I came here to entertain Eva for a change of climate. Ever since her mother died, she has not been able to adjust to me. I think. Yes, she does not feel comfortable with me." Why was he telling her all this? She got confused listening to him.
"Didn't Eva live with you before?"
"No! She lived with her mother in another estate. My only responsibility was to send the expenses." He spoke frankly.
"Oh. Did you get her into school? Going to school makes friends with kids and..." She was talking when he interrupted her.
"No, she has come to me two months ago. She will join the school next year. I think her emotional stability is more important before going to school." Why was he telling her this, she was confused again.
"Do you like your job, Tasha?" He suddenly changed the direction of the conversation; he called her directly with her name this time.
"Yes" She straightened, meaning now he was about to fire her.
"I joined this job almost two years ago. My record has been very good. Seeing my work, Mr. Sanders increased my salary twice because he was satisfied with my work." She mentioned the general manager.
"Correct your sentence! The increase in salary was done by me, not Sanders."
"Oh! I'm sorry, I thought..."
"You must have thought that the owner of the company sitting in Chicago would not know each of his employees? But this is not the case. I know you and I am well aware of your abilities."
"Abilities?" She was shocked and saw him.
"Miss Tasha Jane. Age twenty-five years. Education Graduate. Identity Card No…. There was just one thing missing from your file.” He had now locked his steel gray eyes into her green ones.
"The file doesn't say that you..." He looked at her from head to toe with deep eyes.
"You are a very attractive and beautiful woman." Hearing his words, her heart leapt into her throat. Her face was covered with disgust and he stood calmly with his eyes fixed on her face, unconcerned by all this.
After all, what did he want? Was he harassing her? Or blackmail?
Did he want to take advantage of her physically in exchange for the job?
"Don't think so much." At his voice, she came out of her thoughts, by that time he had turned around and sat back on his revolving chair.
"Have you ever thought about leaving this city?"
"No. I am satisfied with my job here."
"And if I offer you another job?" In other words, he was not removing her from the job, she got a little relief.
"What kind of job?" She asked calmly.
"I need a secretary to keep a customer relationship manager for my office. I want you to do my under work with me and also train other workers in my office."
"Sir! I have no experience of secretarial work." She tried to refuse.
"There is no need for experience. You should come to public dealing and I have seen that you are the best in it. Now pack your things and you will go with me."
"Sorry sir! I'm very happy here. You should hire someone else." She had flatly refused in appropriate words.
"Hmmm I see ..." He was looking at her with inquisitive deep eyes and she changed her side, frightened by the concentration of his eyes.
"Ok, then you continues your job here. Anyway, if you stay here, it will be even easier for me."
"How easy Mr. Bruno?" She looked at him in confusion.
"Easy to seduce you, to deprave you." He looked at her face and spoke in a bold tone. She was shocked after hearing his words; she could not say anything for a few moments.
"W… what did you say?" After some time she barely spoke with a faint hope in her heart that she might have heard wrongly.
"You have heard."
"Maybe I didn't hear properly." She was confused.
"I am going to seduce you ..." He said calmly.
"Are you kidding me?"
"No, I'm serious." He said seriously.
"Why are you so surprised? I think we will look good together. Our ages are suitable. I am only ten years older than you and I can fulfill your every wish and every need. We are both educated and intelligent. In my view, till date no opposite gender has been judged like this and I have already told you that you are beautiful.” Her face turned red after hearing such a despicable proposal, she moved her chair and stood up. She could not believe that any man, indeed any man in the world, could talk to her so disrespectfully, could disrespect her in such a way.
"I hope this will be some stupid joke of yours." She spoke coldly.
"I'm serious. Be my girlfriend." He stopped for a second.
"I intend to be your lover ..."
"Shut up. Just shut up." She exploded.
"I want you to be my girlfriend. I am not interested in marriage or anything like that." His satisfaction was still intact. His eyes were fixed on my face. I was shocked and he was waiting for me to speak. There was silence between us for some time.“I don't understand what you are saying.” I had no idea what to say. I felt disgusted by his words but he was my boss. “I know, but when I first saw you, I thought, this girl is going to be my girlfriend. I know almost everything about your family and circumstances. So you shouldn't worry about this. While I don't want to make any promises to you, I am sure that you will be extremely happy with me. Isn't that enough?" There was something in his eyes that made me look at him. He held my hand. I could not resist."Why are you surprised? Perhaps this is a worthwhile opportunity for you. Our ages are suitable. I am only ten years older than you and I can fulfill your every wish and every need. To date, I have never judged someone of the oppos
It was six o'clock in the evening, her duty hours were over, she wrapped her files and left the office and came towards the park from where the path went directly to her building."Tasha." She stopped when she heard Eva's gasping voice from the left side. On the side road, wearing joggers over a long skirt, her hair tied in two ponytails, Eva was running towards her."Tasha." Coming near her, she placed her hands on her knees, bent down a little, took a breath and started to calm herself down."Are you OK?" She took out a bottle of water from her purse and moved toward her."Hmm." Eva shook her head as she put the water bottle to her mouth."Isn't it great?" Eva's face lit up with happiness."What is great, Eva?" She asked seriously."Daddy said that you are going to dinner with us today.""What?" A scream came out of her lips spontaneously."Yes! We will all have dinner together." Eva's innocent face was shining with happiness. In front of her, he was coming toward her. He held his c
There was a lot of rush and noise in the restaurant that Eva had chosen. Daniel took out a thousand dollars from the wallet and put it in the pocket of the waiter standing in front of him, along with his card, which saved the waiter from having a heart attack; he immediately respectfully gave way to him. His name used to be heard but nobody used to tell him publicly that he never came in public. He brought them both inside and a special table was immediately arranged for him."Ladies, both of you write down your order." He said cheerfully.First, Eva quickly ordered fries, spaghetti and a burger, and then wanted to run to the game zone."No Eva. Having dinner and playing games." He caressed her cheek and then turned towards Tasha."What are you going to take?" Daniel asked softly."Oriental chicken sold please." Tasha had ordered and closed the menu.During the dinner, Daniel’s behavior was very gentlemanly, the way he was gently cutting the burger on Eva's plate into pieces and givi
Eva had gone towards the games section; Tasha was sitting straight on her chair, ignoring DANIEL and pretending to look at the rest of the restaurant, even its doors and walls."Coffee?" DANIEL asked."Yes, please." She had harshness in her tone that she knew if she spoke softly, it would spread even more.Daniel ordered coffee for both of them and while waiting for it, she focused on the games section. During this time, DANIEL did not even try to talk to her but stared at her. She knew his gaze."Will you take cream?" After the waiter left after serving the coffee, he asked. She turned towards him but did not meet his eyes."Yes please.""I am putting. You tell me how much to stop." He started pouring cream into the coffee cup."That's it. That's enough." When she knocked, he moved the cup towards Tasha."Thank you...""You're welcome." He spoke softly but sarcastically.Tasha still saw her sipping a full cup of coffee and he looked at her intently while stirring the spoon in his cup
Within half an hour, DANIEL had made all the games free for all the children. They made a lot of noise and Eva was amazed, and seeing all this, immense happiness came to Eva's innocent face.Tasha noted he was an overprotected father; he did not allow a single child near Eva. Then he left the restaurant with Eva and Tasha and began walking with them. The island was very beautiful, with many shops selling candy, ice cream and colorful balloons.Due to the season, there were many tourists and it was very busy. DANIEL held Eva's small hand in one hand. He walked contentedly spreading his other hand around Tasha and taking her in his arms.Tasha slowly tried to remove his arm from her shoulders, but he tightened his grip and she was holding back, thinking she should not become a public spectacle.Whoever he was, he seemed very possessive shielding her and Eva from the crowd. Tasha looked at him as he walked, thick T-shirt hair and bushy eyebrows that furrowed at any approach of the opposi
"You talk a lot." While speaking in a loud voice, he saw her face turned extremely red. For the first time, he saw a girl blush like this from his touch. He was stunned by Tasha's green eyes' rising and falling eyelids."You are really only brought down to love." He accidentally touched her eyelids, and Tasha quickly raised his hand to slap him, but he stopped her hand and took it in his grip. Each and every part of Tasha's body was on fire with his touch. For the first time someone touched her in this way, she would not tear DANIEL's head off."Tasha, my darling." DANIEL whispered and moved forward and cupped her face in his palms."You still see yourself as a skinny teenager wearing round glasses with thick glasses, wearing braces on your teeth. Why is that right?" He raised Tasha's face in his palms."Don't you see how attractive and captivating a woman you are that any man could desire?" He was leaning on her lips while speaking in a warm tone, when she regained consciousness and
After a few hours at work, she received a check from the accounting department on the pretext that she was awaiting the payment from the sub account manager for her holiday pay. She planned to leave the island after lunch to reach a safe spot later in the day. After that she thought of legal action against DANIEL.The phone on her desk rang."Guest Relations Miss Tasha speaking." She picked up the phone and spoke professionally."Good morning Miss Tasha. Guess who is on the phone?" There was no need to guess, she could recognize this voice in millions. The owner of this voice brought her life to the brink."I don't do voice recognition here. Who are you? Introduce yourself."Daniel said, "If I come and identify you, you will suffer."."Ok, are you from the newspaper?" She gritted her teeth and said that she didn't feel like taking his name, nor did she want to give him the satisfaction that she recognized him by his voice.“no ...." The other side smiled."Okay, so are you a carpet cl
After reaching her flat around five in the evening, after resting for a while, she got ready wearing a pink top on simple jeans, standing in front of the dressing mirror, she was pinning up her shoulder cut hair, when her hands stopped. She could see those steel gray eyes in the mirror in front of her.“If you were hidden, maybe no man would want to touch you, to feel you, to drink the juice of those red lips, to spend a night with you."His words came to her mind, she held the brush in her hand and hit the mirror and fell on the bed. After some time, she calmed down and got up from the bed, straightened the creases of her shirt, straightened her hair with her hands, and wearing joggers, started to go out to pick up Eva. Her hand stopped on the knob of the main door.To hell with you Mr. Daniel. She turned around and took out her leader jacket from the closet and went out after wearing it.After picking up Eva from the hotel, her mood had improved to a great extent. These two girls ha
“Tasha, open your eyes.” The lights above flickered as the hum of machines filled the room. Daniel sat at her side, his hand gripping hers with a desperation that made his fingers ache. Tasha’s once-vibrant face was now pale, her breath shallow, a thin sheen of sweat clinging to her forehead. The blood that had poured from the wound in her side had soaked through the hospital sheets, staining them a dark red. Her body was fragile, lifeless, and as still as the silence in the room. His heart was breaking in ways he never thought possible, each beat a painful reminder that the woman he loved was slipping away from him, and he could do nothing to stop it. His eyes were swollen from tears, his face streaked with them. His grip tightened around her hand, as if he could hold on to the last fragments of her life with sheer will alone. But even as he held her, even as he whispered her name over and over, it felt like the world was slowly fading to black."Tasha, please… please, wake up. I’m
The opening of the mall had arrived, and excitement filled the air. Daniel, standing near a jewelry stall, was busy directing his workers, making sure everything was perfect for the big day. The mall was filled with people, buzzing with energy, and yet, Daniel's mind seemed distracted.A flicker of movement caught his eye in the mirror before him. A boy stood behind a pillar, but Daniel thought nothing of it at first. After all, it was such a crowded day, and people were everywhere. But when Tasha entered the makeup shop a little later, Daniel's mind was drawn back to the strange sensation that someone was watching her. She was absorbed in picking out lipstick shades, inspecting them carefully in the mirror, when suddenly, her heart skipped a beat. In the reflection, she saw the boy from earlier – Carl – standing just behind her.She spun around quickly, her breath caught in her throat, but no one was there. It must have been a trick of the light, she thought, dismissing the unease cr
For the grand opening of the mall, Daniel had decided not to invite any actors, actresses, or high-profile political figures as special guests. Instead, he wanted the moment to be about one person—his wife.Tasha’s car pulled up outside the mall, and without hesitation, Daniel stepped forward to open the door for her, right in front of the waiting media. His smile was warm and inviting as he extended his hand to her."Come on," he said, his voice full of affection. Tasha, her heart racing, placed her hand in his, stepping out of the car gently. She was standing in front of the media for the very first time, and it made her feel a bit anxious. But before she could get too nervous, Daniel wrapped his arm around her waist, pulling her closer to him. The simple act of his touch helped to calm her nerves, making her feel more at ease."Here, take the scissors," he said, holding them out to her. Tasha, still in a bit of a daze, had assumed he was joking, but seeing the serious expression o
That evening, after a long and grueling day, Tasha returned home to find Daniel waiting for her in the living room. The apartment was dimly lit, the soft golden hue of the table lamps casting a warm glow. The aroma of fresh coffee lingered in the air. She closed the door behind her with a tired sigh, and there he was—Daniel—lounging on the couch with an easy, mischievous smile on his face.“How was your first day as boss?” he asked, setting his laptop aside with a deliberate slowness, as if he were savoring the moment of her arrival.“Exhausting,” Tasha admitted, kicking off her heels with a grateful grunt and collapsing beside him on the couch. Her shoulders were tense, her muscles aching from a day filled with meetings, decisions, and memories she had been trying to bury for years.Daniel’s arm was around her in an instant, pulling her closer to him. His touch was grounding, like a lifeline. “And yet, you survived. That’s my girl,” he said, his voice full of pride. She smiled weakly
They had been working together for a week, but it seemed unlikely that this girl had even seen him once. He was lying beside his new bride, lost in thought, remembering Tasha. The image of her beautiful yet simple face, full of confidence, kept playing in his mind. A wave of deep regret swept over him. He wished he had appreciated her more, that he had valued her in the way she deserved. Maybe, if he had, she would still be with him now.Tears welled up in his eyes, and he quickly sat up, rubbing his eyes roughly, trying to push the painful thoughts away. His heart was breaking. The girl he had once known, the girl he had lost, was now married to someone else. She was no longer his, and it was all because of his own foolishness and insecurities."How's everything going?" She asked softly, her voice gentle as she styled her hair. She leaned her chin on his shoulder, wrapping her delicate arms around him, showing concern. He could feel her care for him, yet his thoughts were elsewhere.
Shehryar paced back and forth in his office, his brow furrowed with frustration. The weight of the company’s recent losses pressed heavily on him, and his temper simmered. His brother, Carl, sat across from him, visibly worn from the arguments they’d been having for weeks.“Has our time come?” Shehryar snapped, slamming his fist onto the desk. “Now we’ll work like employees in our own office under a girl?”Carl adjusted his glasses and sighed deeply, his patience thinning. “We’re not employees, Shehryar. We’re still partners.”“Partners?” Shehryar barked, his voice dripping with sarcasm. “Don’t joke with me, Carl. She owns 70 percent of the shares, and we only have 30 between us. That means she calls the shots in everything from now on!” He slammed the back of his chair in frustration, his anger palpable.Carl leaned forward, rubbing his temples. “Instead of yelling, maybe we should hope she’s competent enough to save what’s left of this sinking ship. We’ve got nothing left but this c
“Would you help me with something?” Daniel asked, holding a stack of papers in his hand. He extended them toward Tasha with a warm, encouraging smile.“Help? With what exactly?” she asked curiously, raising her eyebrows as she took the papers from him.“Well…” He leaned back casually, his tone light but deliberate. “I bought seventy percent of the shares of a failing company.”“What?” Her voice shot up in surprise, her brows furrowing in confusion. “Why would someone as smart as you invest in a company that’s going under?”“Because I thought I could turn it around,” he replied with a shrug. “But life has a way of throwing curveballs, and I’ve been too busy to focus on it. So, here’s the deal: I’m handing it over to you. You’ll be managing it from tomorrow.”Tasha’s jaw dropped. “Me? Are you serious? I don’t know the first thing about running a company!”Daniel raised an eyebrow, a sly smirk forming on his lips. “Why not? Did you get your degree just to decorate the house?”“That’s not
Tasha lay in bed, her eyes heavy but stubbornly refusing to close. Beside her, Daniel was peacefully asleep, his chest rising and falling with each steady breath. Yet, even in his sleep, he seemed restless, as if the memory of something unresolved lingered in his subconscious. A soft whisper escaped his lips, almost an apology directed at himself.Tasha couldn’t help but study his face, her gaze tracing every line and curve. “How beautiful he is,” she thought, a soft smile playing on her lips. Daniel was her prince, flawed yet captivating, and even in the darkness of the room, he exuded a warmth that drew her closer. She leaned in, her nose brushing lightly against his, and closed her eyes. The heat of his breath fanned her cheeks, and for a moment, the world stilled. “This,” she whispered to herself, “this is the most beautiful moment.”Daniel stirred slightly but remained asleep. Tasha chuckled softly, a memory tugging at her heart. “I remember,” she began, speaking to him though sh
"Let’s have breakfast quickly. You must be starving,” Daniel said, his voice steady but carrying a hint of concern. He watched Tasha closely, as though gauging her mood.Tasha raised her eyebrows, her lips curling into a wry smile. “I must be? How do you know?” she asked, her tone teasing yet laced with curiosity.Daniel hesitated for a moment, his confusion evident. “What do you mean?”“That I’m hungry,” she replied softly, leaning back slightly, her eyes never leaving his.Daniel smirked, though his gaze turned serious. “How could you think for a second that I’d have breakfast without you? Especially today, after you called me yourself. Do you know what that means to me?” His voice dropped, becoming almost a whisper.Tasha blinked, slightly caught off guard. Daniel wasn’t the type to show his emotions so openly. But when he referred to her as his “E” – the affectionate nickname only he used – her heart skipped a beat. He could have called himself Daniel, the name the world knew him
