He was sitting in the study after dinner when Tasha entered, carrying a glass of milk.

“Milk,” she said with a soft smile, placing it in front of him.

"Are you really trying to win my heart? Morning breakfast, then lunch, dinner, and now milk," he commented, his tone half-teasing but distracted as he worked tirelessly since morning.

"A lot," she replied with a playful smile, her expression confirming her intentions openly.

For a moment, his gaze softened as if looking at her, but then his expression shifted. Tasha felt unsettled. He wasn’t looking at her—he seemed to be searching for someone else.

This wasn’t the first time she felt this way. It couldn’t just be her imagination. His first love, Tahreem, lacked the qualities she sensed in his gaze. Then who could he be thinking of?

"Can I ask you something?" His tone suddenly turned serious, pulling her out of her thoughts.

"Yes," she nodded slightly, giving him permission.

"Have you ever loved anyone other than Tahreem?" she asked, he

She closed the door behind her with a tired sigh, and there he was—Daniel—lounging on the couch with an easy, mischievous smile on his face.“How was your first day as boss?” he asked, setting his laptop aside with a deliberate slowness, as if he were savoring the moment of her arrival.“Exhausting,” Tasha admitted, kicking off her heels with a grateful grunt and collapsing beside him on the couch.
