Maya
I wanted the day to end and for people to leave. I couldn’t catch a break. Dalia and Tiffany had their go at me. I was feeling a headache as I was standing with Henry. I could feel myself zoning off before he spoke again.
“Maya, I have seen your lap dance video, ” he gave me a stern look smiling. “You don’t need me to tell you how to fuck my son. Fig
My mother is still alive and well, thanks to me betraying the reformed Ryan. He had changed in the last weeks that he was comfortable around me in bed. He had been making an effort to spend time with me get to know me better. Betraying Ryan was starting to eat me because he had been kinder to me, unlike his bastard father.Later in the evening, Ryan had an emergency and he had to leave for a business trip. I had gotten a call from Henry for a meeting because he was paranoid. Something huge was about to happen according to him so he sent a car to pick me up because he was impatient.
“You’re late,” Ryan shouted as I walked in.My feet were tired and sore from walking and I felt sick and dizzy from walking a long distance in the cold. On the way home, I told myself that I deserved what was coming because I should have listened to Dalia and come clean to Ryan. I had plenty of time to confide in him, but I still chose to betray him, and he thought I was cheating on him with his father.
Ryan“What the fuck did you do?”I looked up from my bench to see Ty before he grabbed me by the collar and punching me hard in the face. I was surprised not by the punch, but by the fact that he had gotten to the hospital fast.
TiffanyI was proud of myself as I sat on my comfortable bed, sipping my second martini knowing fully well that Ryan was going to get rid of that gold-digging slut.“Cheers, Maya,” I lifted my glass satisfied as I spoke out loud to myself.
After I got the call I rushed to the hospital where I had arranged to have one floor closed off for the patient that was in there. I had been waiting for the doctor to call me because I never thought he would survive after the accident, and the damage was too critical as the doctor had advised.I rushed and I bumped into someone I recognized before, but could not quite remember from where and I shook my head still a little drunk from the martinis. I moved straight to the doctor’s office as this was a private arrangement I made. I knocked once and I heard a come in soon after.
“Ryan?” I moved to wait for him to say more.“She might not make it and I don’t know what to do?” He spoke shuddering in my presence.Great I thought. Whatever spell she cast on these men was powerful. I had Dax practically hyperventilating upstairs because of her and now Ryan was in tears as if she was dying. I took a long sigh as I went in for a hug. I hate her so much
DaxSome memories are horrible that forgetting them is like trying to peel your skin off because it hurt to think about it let alone forget. I knew the moment Jack walked out that the rescue was going to be bad, but I never expected to lose them both because they were starting to grow on me. We were almost becoming friends hell, even family someday, but that all went to shit when we went to get Julian.
I couldn’t get far the nurse had rushed into the room and stopped me from tempting death with my stupidity. The nurse had the tubes and drips on and giving me a shot that made everything fade away as I fluttered my eyes drifting off.The flashes of that night unfolded in front of me and it was one hell of a night not in a good way. After Jack had walked out to rescue his brother, I followed him no question about it and we drove to the warehouse as instructed. I had a plan that would have worked out, but I was driven by revenge that, when the escape was in my grasp I chose to let go and run w
“I thought you were letting me go?” I adjusted my hand with Alex resting on my shoulder.“Yes, ” he smiled.I looked at him starting to get suspicious as I knitted my brows together. Part of me didn’t want to think, all that was a trick or show so he could laugh in my face before he took my children away from me.
Maya“Does it always take this long for them to sleep?” I looked up to see Ryan rubbing the back of his neck as he spoke, and I simply nodded. The twins were finally asleep again after a long day. The flight had been long and so much time had flown by when we got to the hotel late in the afternoon. It has been a couple of hours and I was exhausted, but I knew Ryan an
RyanJust like that Maya walked back to their room and I was left to figure out how to get them to move. I turned to look at them and she had been right the sight in front of me was adorable. My children were sitting on the floor Alex’s hands stuck in Ava’s hair and they were sharing the other candy.I had no idea there was such happiness in seeing
The twins were settled on their highchairs eating comfortably. The highchairs were easy to assemble luckily, and Ryan had helped in silence. I watched him work around the steps and he looked like a natural because Dax and I had taken time to set them up once.“All done,” he smiled as he watched the twins eat admiring them for a second.“If you have somewhere else to be, we can always
MayaI was a mother now and nothing was going to get in the way of me protecting my children, including their father. I had decided to come back and face my husband and fight back no matter the cost and luckily Dax had taught me a lot after I gave birth. My pregnancy was hard. Tiffany and Dax helped me in most of the cases because I was a mess. Tiffany arranged a therapist for me on o
RyanI thought I was dreaming because she was here and not only was she here she brought my kids with her. My heart was doing somersaults and getting back to the way it was all this time. I paused as I said their name Alex and Ava Steel in my head. It had a nice ring to it, and I was already designing their rooms in my head and they were going to be spoiled rotten.I pulled out
I felt as if I was flying with a smile on my face this time and I was at peace as if this was my ride to heaven, I was a happy passenger. “Mommy, mommy,” I heard a voice, but I refused to open my eyes.SMACK. My eyes flew open attentively this time startled by the wailing noise.“Hey, young lady, we don’t talk with fists. Now say sorry to your brother,” I looked at my dau
MayaIf someone had told me that Tiffany and I would form an alliance I would have laughed and thought it was absurd, but my life had been filled with a lot of crazy shit and pain so believe me when I finally agreed to let her help with the escape it was the best fucking allegiance that brought good memories ahead.“Have you completely lost your mind?” Dax asked as h
“Woah, easy,” I raised my hands, “You might want to put the gun down Maya,” I looked at her.“I said talk, ” she moved closer, and by the way she looked, she meant business.“Okay, my guys are outside so careful with your next move,” I took a step back, but my words made it worse because the gun was corked close to my chest and she was not shaking or hes
