When Lobo suggested I join him at one of the Lycan spots, I had agreed, thinking it would be a bar or something similar.

I had not expected to walk into a forest-type clearing and be surrounded by a bunch of half-naked people. Well, Lycan's in their human form.

Lobo smirked at me, "Don't look so worried."

"Easy for you to say. I'm the only human here?"

"Yes you are, but you're my mate so don't worry about it."

I frowned, turning to him, "How would they know that?"

"You reek of my scent."

I rolled my eyes and turned my attention back to the Lycans.

"What exactly is this place?"

"A lot of the Lycans prefer the mountains and the forests. It brings us closer to our routes."

I nodded slowly, "So who do we talk to?"

He opened his mouth but his phone chimed and he held up a hand.

He read the text frowning, "It's a waste of time. There's been another murder."

"What? So he's not here then."

Lobo shook his head, "No. Let's go."
