Until a month ago, Havie did not expect to be hiding in the basement toilet of his office building at night. Not because it feels illegal or suspicious, but because the basement area of the office building is famous as a haunted place. While it's not just a rumor.
There have been many eyewitnesses and technology witnesses who confirmed the 'disruption' in the basement area. Even his boss makes rules for employees to leave work before 8 PM.
But there he is.
Forgetting his fear thanks to the love that sparks in his heart towards Kate, his first love, who is having overtime. Well, it's a bit awkward to say she's overtime when the clock hasn't hit 8 PM yet.
Anyway, that scaredy cat boy was willing to hide in the toilet to prank Kate.
'She must be surprised tonight as she doesn't imagine I'm still here. Her surprised expression must be adorable too, haha.'
Havie blushed. It was like that whenever he thought of Kate. That woman never fails to give him butterflies.
After waiting for thirty minutes, just before the watch hit 8 PM, Kate appeared in the basement area. Havie noticed that Kate is putting purple lipstick on her lips, unlike the usual soft color she put on. She sometimes does that. But every time she do that, he feels bothered.
He didn’t know why.
‘Anyway, I’m going to startle her and make her laugh. I want her day to end with laughter, then I’ll get to take her home!’ Havie flashed a triumphant smile.
When Havie was about to jump to startle Kate, a black car that had been parked in the area, slowly approached her.
Havie hid behind a pillar as he watched Kate smile happily as she waved at the man behind the wheel, whose face was obscured by the basement light. He rarely saw Kate smile like that. He wanted to see Kate smile, but not for any other man.
"Who is that man?" Havie furrows his brow in pain.
In a corner of his heart, he always knew that a woman as beautiful as Kate could not be single. But as long as there isn't a ring on her ring finger, Havie thinks he still has a chance. He is determined to change the genre of his life to romance with Kate as his female lead!
Havie is ready to make his dramatic appearance to interrupt Kate and that man without any shame. But Kate, who just sat in the passenger seat, leaning her head to the man, then the two of them shared a hot kiss.
Havie is stunned. He couldn't hear anything. It was as if the world had deliberately withdrawn all its voice.
He swallowed hard.
'Shit. Shit! Was that man the one who messes your lipstick, Kate?' His heart sank.
He could feel something bad rising his throat from his twisted stomach. He knew the cause was the scene in front of him, but he couldn't take his eyes off them. As much as he did not want to witness the painful scene in front of him, as much curiosity enveloped him.
Havie watched as Kate smiled sheepishly as she separated her lips from the man's. He saw a strand of saliva created from their separate mouths. Havie in the verge of crying and puking at the same time.
The black car slowly drives towards the exit, past the pillar where Havie was currently hiding.
As the black car came closer, he looked at the man sitting in the driver's seat. He wanted to carve the man's face clearly in his brain as the person he hated the most in the world even when he didn't know him.
But as soon as he looked at the man closely, he got nauseous. Because he… recognized the man.
With his eyes trembling, Havie muttered, "No way. No, this is ridiculous. Why are you with that man, Kate? You- you can't. Not that man. That… man is my ------- damn it!”
As sh*t as it is, Havier's first love at the tender age of 18 years old, fell to a woman who was difficult to love.
It all started when he went to pick up a mop.

Havier Addington, or Havi, always wanted to end his life. However, he is a coward. So his wish to die was always delayed. Therefore, he only relied on time to take his life away. He is now 18 years old, but time is still holding him back along.
So he still has to stay in this world. Amongst the teenagers gathered in a circle.
“Up and down~ and up and down!”
Everyone except Havie raised their hands with the white side up.
Havie was at a loss for words.
"Shit." He cursed as he saw his hands alone showing the back side.
Havie glares at them, then sighs. He didn't even have the energy to protest against his friends even though he knew they were cheating him.
“Why do we play up and down to make important decisions like this? So childish, tch."
"It's okay to be childish now, while we're still 18 years old~ hahaha," said Clement, Havi's friend, whose laughter sounded so annoying.
Right. They are still 18 years old teenagers. So please understand that their decision-making method still uses the up-and-down game.
Havie and his friends are 3rd-year students of a bonafide private vocational high school throughout the country. They are completing a one-semester internship program for graduation requirements at an advertising company.
It had been almost two months since they had interned at this company, and it was their responsibility to help clean up the office area where they were interning. Yup, due to having a stingy boss that doesn't employ enough cleaning service staff, so, the student interns are also in charge of cleaning the office's area.
Everything was fine until Mr. Bossman decided to use the first-floor space which had been left empty. So the area that needs to be cleaned increases.
All this time Mr. Bossman only used the second and third floors of the building as offices, while the first floor was left empty. Not without reason, but the first floor of the building is famous for its creepiness. Many horror stories were passed down from previous student interns that made them nervous.
Even Mr. Bossman himself had experienced paranormal activity on the first floor. That's why he left the first-floor area deserted.
"Havi, be careful down there." Said Armand, another of his friend, tapping Havi's shoulder.
"Yeah, be careful. I don't mind cleaning the second floor alone, but not on the first floor. Uhhh." Janice added while shuddering.
"They say that the first floor is scarier than the basement."
"Tch, coward." Havie scoff.
But honestly, he is scared as well.
“What to do now to our Havier? You should also take a mop in the basement toilet area before cleaning the first floor, tsk tsk,” Clement chimed in with a worried tone, but his smirking gave away his inner joy.
Havi's lips twitched in annoyance as he watched his friends enjoying his misfortune. Then they waved a dramatic goodbye as they ushered Havie into the elevator, down to the basement.
In no time, he arrived at the basement.
Havie looked around restlessly. He spots no one in the basement.
"Excuse me, I'm Havi. I just want to take a mop. I swear I'll just take the mop. So don't go out. Whatever you are, just stay where you are. Huh? Please?" Havie raves as he hates the creepy silence.
Cold sweat began to seep through his hair, even though the morning air was still chilly.
He walked slowly. Try not to make the slightest sound. He started looking for cleaning equipment in the locker near the toilet. Several times he looked back to make sure he was really alone, or…
'Cwit-cit cit!' A rat run over his feet and made Havie jump.
“WAUGH! Shiiiiit!” after screaming, Havie gasped. He didn't do much though.
'Whoa shit. I really want to die, but not with this genre!' Havie huffed in annoyance.
Just when he thought he was fine so far, the toilet door that should have been closed started to open on its own.
'Creeeeaak-'
The creaking sound of the toilet door shook his heart which was as small as a bean sprout. He freezes.
He caught a strange movement from the corner of the dark restroom. He caught a movement of something of a similar height to him, carrying a stick.
"Ex-excuse me, I just want to take a mop for a moment-" His words trailed off as he faced the figure(?) who decided to reveal herself.
“You-, can you-, see-, me?” Asked the figure in a hoarse creepy voice.
gulp.
"F*ck."
"How- do- I- look? Am I… bleeding? Hollow? Or…""Sh*t."Swish-He runs. Fast. For his life. For the first time in his life, he regretted neglecting PE at school because running with his thin body now feels so heavy already, while he needs to start sprinting up the stairs. He knew that waiting for the elevator would be too late for his life.BRAK! Havi busted the door of the second-floor office room open with a gasp."Crazy. I just saw that there was a strange sort of lady downstairs!” Havi shouted to all his gawking friends.Havi was in denial as he started walking to his desk.“You're… chickened out, huh?” Clement throws a fastball called humiliation at Havi, who's flinched."I'm not. But, this is impossible to do alone. For safety measures, I guess?”"Haha. You're chickening out, Havi. Why?” Janice chimed in with a chuckle."He says he saw a 'sort of lady? What do you mean by that, anyway?” Armand asked him.Havi looked around. He hated being in such an annoying situation, but the
"Katherine Bliss," Havie muttered that name after being satisfied flicking all his friend's forehead. It turned out that during his four days away competing in another city, Katherine appeared as a manager for the café that was about to open on the first floor. According to his friends, this is an opportunity for their bossman to rent out the space after a long absence due to the haunted rumors.“I heard from Miss Katherine that our bossman is renting out the first-floor space for a low price despite its great location.”Their office is located in the area around the university, so the neighborhood is always lively with young people until late at night. It's a great place for business."Well, we know why our bossman let it go at a cheap price, right?" Janice chimed in while shrugging her shoulders."I told Miss Katherine about it, but she just laughed," Clement added."Hmm, that's a natural reaction from an outsider."“I hope nothing bad happens during the renovation. Especially when
Just before I could park my motorbike in the parking lot, the woman was standing right in front of the entrance with both hands reaching toward the sky."What... are you doing?" I asked."Photosynthesis." She says. She really isn't an ordinary woman, I thought."Does it get your stomach full?" I get back at her with a touch of sarcasm.Even I don't understand why I need to bother replying to her nonsensical remarks!"No. That's why I hope humans can also photosynthesize. So even without working, you can still be full. Don't you also think it's convenient?”'What is she saying? Ugh.'The woman was then rushing me to get into the basement while she was enjoying her moment of basking in the sun. Once again, my view is still fixed on her figure through the reflection in the rearview mirror of my motorbike.Just when I took off my helmet, she suddenly has appeared next to me!“What the!
