Chapter 70: Sorry I'm Late.

Soon, more people arrived, and Laura showed them where they were going to hang out. Muffled music could be heard from the main floor, and no one had trouble finding their way downstairs.

Laura had joined Jen and her other friends and had gotten them to hang out with some of the model friends she had made over the past few months. However, as time continued to pass, it became harder for Laura to socialise as she wondered anxiously over when James was finally going to arrive.

She was anticipating James’s arrival to the point where she started fidgeting. This time, she hadn’t seen him for more than a week and, as a certified face-con, this was unacceptable. The only reason she hadn’t spontaneously gone to one of his trips just to see him was because her team would get in trouble.

Soon, the doorbell rang again. This time, it had to be James; she thought to herself as she got up to go open the door. When she saw who it was, her face fell.
