Chapter 69: Preparations

Saturday rolled in in no time. And the two girls were preparing for the housewarming. Brian did not want Rachel to stress herself out preparing for it, so he had someone prepare what they needed and bring it all over. So the two of them only had to show them where they were going to put everything they brought out.

Laura was going to be moving out in two days and even though she was nervous about living alone after so long, she was also excited about it. Mainly because James wouldn’t have an excuse not to come over to her place.

“Don’t take those to the kitchen. They are going downstairs,” Laura said to one of the men who was carrying a box of drinks. Rachel’s house was on a slope and the architecture capitalized on it. So apart from the main floor, there was an upper floor that had the bedrooms and a lower floor that had a bar and lounge area that opened up to a sizable pool and barbeque area. That’s where the party was going to happen to make the clean-up afterwards easier.
