Laura kissed James for the ‘last’ time, still feeling reluctant to part with him. They had been parked in front of her house for the past five minutes and he had already lost count of the number of times they had said goodbye to each other.

“Go now, or I’ll really be late for my flight,” James said to her and pinched her cheek.

“Make sure you call me every day,” Laura said to him, and James nodded in agreement.

“I’m going to miss you,” she said and hugged him again.

“I’ll miss you too,” James responded and hugged her back. He wished he could take her with him, but since she also had work, they had to part.
