Laura took a hot shower and went to get dressed. Since her luggage was still downstairs, she wore one of James’s shirts and took over a pair of boxers she found in the drawer and put them on before going downstairs.

As she descended the steps, she could hear the commotion downstairs, so she sped up to go and see what was going on. She found a bunch of people in uniform bringing things inside when she was finally getting closer to the landing.
