Laura stood backstage and watched as the other models stepped onto the runway one by one and felt some excitement. Robyn was busy making alterations and adjustments to the dress she was already wearing. She was standing still, like she had been asked to. Things were very lively here, and she had been swept up in the excitement of her surroundings.

“Okay, you’re good,” Robyn said with a satisfied smile, as she circled around Laura. She knew how far models went to look good on such days and she appreciated that Laura was willing to go so far.

“She should be on standby,” one of the coordinators came to say, and Laura moved forward and stood behind the next person that was going on stage.

Laura looked at Sylvia, who looked like she was more nervous than she was, and winked at her to reassure her. Soon, the person in front of her entered the stage, and another one returned. Because of the sheer size of her dress, and since she was the final model, she was going to have the stage to herself
