Chapter 83

Farren's Point of View

I woke up to an empty bed but a blissful feeling between my legs. The sun had finally deigned to come out after days of non-stop rain. Filtered in through the cracked curtains. Warmed the side of my face. Delightful. It all seemed so unreal.

Stretching my arms above my head, I turned. Took in the rest of the room. It had taken a while but I was here. I had finally seen the inside of Camilo's chambers. Royal blue. Everything was bathed in blues and gold. I smiled and touched the tips of my finger to my lips.

I had somehow imagined more doom and gloom, to be honest.

Stifling my chuckle, I turned my head a bit more. Noticed that a note lay on the pillow beside me. Beautifully handwriting. Three signatures beneath it. I picked it up eagerly and read. Heard all of their voices in my mind like a melody.

They were sorry to leave me so soon but they had work to do. Would see me later today for a surprise. Butterflies churned in my stomach. Fluttered their wings rel

I feel ripped off! I'm paying a lot of money for this book and now we get only 2 paragraphs and that is supposed to be adequate? Seriously! Write the book and quit messing with us.
