AN IRRESPONSIBLE FATHER

A sob tore from Daniella’s throat. Then another. And another.

Fresh tears soaking her eyes like a sweatshirt tearing from its layer – this pain was breaking her heart.

Her heart was wounded in her chest. So heavy.

“I’m sorry, Dad,” she cried her eyes out, trembling terribly until she could no longer stand and had to crouch to her knees.

After crying for a long time, she stopped crying, wiped her tears thoroughly and then stood up – readying to face it.

No matter how much she cries, she was most certainly sure that Liam wouldn’t come to comfort her or anything.

It is what she had seen written clearly around his face earlier and of course it is expected to be like that.

Nevertheless, she needed to make him understand that she was not in her working mind when she had blurted out such hideous words to him the night before.

She needed to beg him because she can’t stay away from him.
