His Fate

Rose and Jared were sitting on the soft grass under a big oak tree near the blue lake.

"You would have met a lot of handsome Alphas or ranked wolves. But why would you want to be with me?" Jared asked Rose. Rose laughed at his words. Her laughter sounded like a melody to Jared. He could hear her laughing all day. 

'Goddess, how can you mate me with this beautiful princess?' he asked in his mind. He knew better than anyone what sins he had done in his previous life. That's why he was reborn as the lowest rank of omega to make amends for his sins.

In his previous life, Jared was a powerful Alpha, but he was greedy for more power. In his greed for power, he killed his mate and was cursed by the mother of his mate. Who was a powerful old witch, she cursed him to be reborn as a lowlife omega. And he will remember everything about his past life. Every time someone called him a slave or treated him like a slave, he saw a glimpse of his past when he treated low-rank members like slaves. He was bound to bear this punishment until the Moon Goddess herself accepts his repentance. 

Jared accepted this punishment as he was well aware of his sins. But what he didn't expect was to find a mate, that too, and a princess. How can he get such a blessing in his cursed life?

"Where are you lost?" Rose asked him, placing her hand on his thigh.

"Sorry I wasn't listening to you. What did you say?" Jared asked her, looking down at her hand on his thigh.

"I replied to your question. I chose you because you are my destined mate." Rose said with a happy smile.

"You are such a pure soul, Princess. You deserve to be the Queen," Jared said out of appreciation.

"I don't know about the pure soul but I kept myself pure for my mate," Rose said with a blush. Jared watched her rose-pink face with eyes full of regret.

"I am not pure like you. You know omegas are sometimes forced to be slaves for pack's mistresses or to join the ranked wolves for their kinky pleasure," he said, looking down. 

Rose could feel the pain in his voice. She hugged him to give him some hope.

"No one will ever force you to do anything from now on. You are now the mate of the Princess, the future King of this kingdom." Rose assured him with determination in her voice. Jared just gave a faint smile at her promise. Rose was about to say something more when she saw Jared's eyes become white for a moment. Which meant someone was mind-linking him.

"Sorry Rose, I have to go. My Alpha is summoning me. I can't disobey his orders." Jared said, standing up from the grass.

"This will be the last time someone ordered you. I am going to talk to my father and then we will declare our relationship. Meet me here after one hour." Rose told him and hugged him before he disappeared inside the woods.

'*Why did you let him go? He is our mate. He should be with us.*' Serene whined inside Rose's mind.

"Don't worry, we will meet him soon and this time forever," Rose said with a sad smile.

Jared was running through the woods to go to his Alpha. Every Alpha who came to attend the mating ball was given a guest house to stay near the palace. Jared went to the lake to take a bath, as he was a slave he wasn't allowed inside the guest house to take a bath. He didn't expect he would meet his mate here. He was so lost in his world that he didn't realize that he was out for almost three hours. His Alpha was angry at Jared for not being there for him. So he mind-linked Jared to order him to be present within ten minutes. Jared ran faster as he was reminded of the threat of his Alpha. He was so engrossed in his thoughts that he didn't give much attention to his surroundings. Two big wolves were following him from the moment he left Rose's sight. Jared was close to the end of the forest. Just two minutes' run and he will be at the guest house of his Alpha. Just right at that moment, a big brown wolf jumped on him. Jared wasn't prepared for this, so he fell to the ground because of the impact. He saw the big wolf that was circling him. Soon another brown wolf joined the first one. They were both somehow identical. They both lounged at Jared at the same time. If it was his past life, he would have ripped both of their heads, but in this life, he was just a mere omega and by the attacker's sizes it was evident they were strong ranked wolves. Jared couldn't think of a reason why two ranked wolves would try to kill him. He tried to transform into his wolf form but before he could turn, his head was ripped from his body and his lifeless body fell to the ground. Before his soul left his body, he just took one name, "Rose...."

**Moon Goddess P. O. V**

Being the Goddess was never easy. I had to make several decisions to save the future. Jared's death was one of them. I made him an Alpha in his previous life and gave him a destined mate, but he disrespected my decision and killed her. He deserved punishment for that. But before I could punish him, Melissa cursed him. Melissa was the leader of the white witches, a pure elder soul. So I approved her curse and gave Jared this second life. He was fated to die in this life without a mate, but I changed his fate. I gave him a mate to gain a big purpose. It was his punishment to live a life as an omega. But it was also his fate to sacrifice himself for something big for someone special. He killed his mate in his past life and in this life he was killed for his mate's life. This is fate. Fate doesn't spare anyone. Everyone must fulfill their fate.
