The soft glow of Christmas morning enveloped Jason’s home as they savoured a tranquil moment with their sons, Jared and Lorenzo. The scent of pine lingered in the air, mingling with the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and cinnamon.

Jared and Lorenzo were already nestled on the couch, haven woken up at ass crack o’clock, their eyes bright with excitement as they admired the twinkling lights of the tree.

“Morning, boys, Merry Christmas.” Jason greeted, joining them by the tree.

“Merry Christmas, Dad!” the boys exclaimed, their voice filled with anticipation.

Skylar emerged from the kitchen, carrying a tray of steaming hot cocoa and a plate of freshly baked cookies. “Good morning, my loves. Merry Christmas,” she said, setting the tray down on the coffee table.

Lorenzo’s eyes widened at the sight of the treats. “Thanks, Mom!” he grinned, reaching for a cookie. Jared mumbled something that sounded close to ‘Merry Christmas', a cookie already melting in his mouth.
