CHAPTER 4

Suddenly she saw him in front of her. Before she could utter a word, in a split second his canines sank into the skin between her neck and shoulder, marking her.

He pulled her into his arms and his breath fanned the area of her neck. She panicked, she wasn't ready for this! She could not help the tremor as licked her mark, sending tingles to every part of her body. Suddenly, that part began to feel hot.

Andrea was confused as to why he did that but then Derek and his men came out of their hiding. She became scared and her heart started beating so fast.

She didn't know that they were close by and immediately wanted to hide but she was already locked in an embrace she could not escape from. She didn't know who he was but also thought that maybe she should trust him after all he has marked her and she was sure that he was going to protect her.

"Beta Derek, long time no see." He said with a smirk on his face. Andrea noticed that Derek's expression changed so much as if he was scared of him or something. He didn't try to attack her or anything.

"Same here, I see you have already met the princess," Derek said, adding every bit of sarcasm in his voice. He looked at him with a smile on his face and it was clear that both parties didn't like each other at all in fact it felt more as if they were putting up with each other.

"Alpha Lyon, I beg you, can you please give her back to me ".  Derek said. Andrea was shocked by this, she couldn't believe that he was begging the other alpha whose name was Lyon to give her back to him. She was definitely sure that he was stronger than him, otherwise, why would he be begging so much? Afraid he might agree, she shook her head in disagreement. Alpha Lyon narrowed his eyes and something flickered in them as he gazed at her trembling form.

"I'm sorry Derek but she's mine already."  He said and showed Derek the mark on her neck. He couldn't believe that Lyon had played such a smart move and he couldn't attack her anymore. He didn't want to retreat but Alpha Lyon was way stronger than him and fighting with him was more like a death sentence.

"I see. I didn't know but definitely she's not from your pack why don't you just give her back,"  He said. Lyon felt like he was challenging him and there's nothing he loved more than a good challenge.

Alpha Lyon stood there with a smirk on his face and walked over to Derek.  Derek tried avoiding his gaze, trying not to meet with his eyes but Lyon was making it hard for him.

" Do you want to challenge me, Beta Derek?". He asked and Derek immediately shook his head.

" Of course not, I dare not challenge his majesty ". He said and Lyon went away from his front.

" Very well then, I'll be taking her to my pack". He said and Derek nodded in response. Alpha Lyon called one of his guards and told him to chain her up, he was going to take her to his pack.

Andrea was surprised by him chaining her up. She thought she had met her savior but she was beyond wrong, she didn't like the way she was being chained up like a criminal but then again what did she expect? She knew that it wasn't as if they were going to carry her like an egg and give her special treatment.

She was just going to be like a foreigner in another man's land. She didn't like the idea and wondered what they were going to do to her with her heart beating so fast. She was so scared and didn't know what to do, she couldn't escape and wished she had run away when she had the chance.

The guards led her to the car where she sat beside Alpha Lyon. She wanted to thank him but him chaining her up didn't seem as if he was helping her. She didn't know what he was going to do and a lot of thoughts ran wild in her mind.

" Why did you help me if you're only going to chain me up like a prisoner?" She asked. Lyon couldn't believe what he heard, he had just saved her and the least she could do is to be grateful about it but yet she was still questioning him.

" I expected more of a thank you," He said. She looked at him, she couldn't believe his cockiness. He definitely didn't help her for nothing, he was going to want something in return. She wondered what it was going to be, whether turning her into a sex slave or an actual slave.

" You're of no use to me and don't consider this as help or anything, don't let your head entertain stupid thoughts,  I thought you were wiser than that," He said. She couldn't deny the fact that his words hurt her.

He was definitely not going to treat her well and she was no use to him. She wondered what he was going to do to her there and it made her heart beat so fast. She was beginning to get scared of him and wished she would just jump out of the car and run very far away.

She looked down at herself trying to control the tears which were threatening to fall. She saw herself and couldn't imagine that she was chained up like a criminal.

She wondered why she was so ill-fated. Her parents and her pack were murdered in cold blood and just when she thought she was about to escape she was caught by another alpha who she doubted was going to treat her well.

She didn't want to cry in front of him so as not to look weak or anything. She faced the window, staring at the entire city from outside the window. She couldn't believe that she was leaving the pack and the once happy and lively pack now felt like a desert with no soul.

Her heart began to ache and she missed her parents terribly. The night started happily and ended in a tragic moment. She wished her parents were still alive, then she wouldn't be in the position now she had no family, no one to turn to, she was left all alone in this world.

She hated the fact that no one was willing to help her and now she had to face the tragedy of life.

In a foreign land.
