Sedar sat across from Ezekiel, feeling a sense of déjà vu. He let his eyes take in his surroundings, taking their time to get a good glimpse around the room, a niggling ache started to surface on the side of his head and he started to massage his temples. He noticed the more time he spent in the country, the more frequent his migraines were.
His gaze fell on Ezekiel, who sat in his armchair, his revolver resting on his leg, pointed directly at him and his finger snugly on the trigger.
"You said you wanted to talk, so talk." His voice was tight as he attempted to calm the animal within.
Sedar rested his foot on his other knee as he spoke. "Well, it seems you already know my reason for wanting to meet up and talk."
Ezekiel scoffed, "To confess that you denied Mercedes of a divorce you pressured her into signing the papers for?" His voice had a sour undertone to it.
"Evet." (Yes) He said, his words drowning in guilt when he put it like that.
Mercedes awoke to the noise of her phone's notification sound going off. She rolled over and stretched out her arm, looking for Sedar. When she was greeted with nothing but air, she sat up and yawned, twisting her body from side to side, she attempts to wake up her tired muscles as a delicious ache lingered between her legs and spreads across her lady bits. Her smile widened, and she picked up her pillow, muffling her 'Oh my God I just slept with Sedar!' screams. Spending a forbidden morning with Sedar exceeded her expectations. A morning she will never forget, a moment in time she will cherish forever, leaving her with no excuse not to move forward and live her best life. 'Damn you, Sedar.' She reflected in herself. 'You've gone ahead and ruined me for other men.' She sighed. Her body sang and her heart was at peace along with her mind. It was a new feeling she had never tasted before, a feeling she hoped will last forever. When the not
"You've screwed up, mate; she's aware that you're still married and has threatened to harm us if we approach her within ten feet," Ozgar mumbled into the phone. "How long ago was that?" "She walked out of here twenty minutes ago. She appeared torn between being relieved and fucking hurt. Sedar, rectify your mistake; you should not have slept with her without informing her first!" Ozgar shared before the call was terminated. "Allah Kharetsin!" (Jesus Christ!) Sedar swore, resetting the Uber app's location back to Mercedes home address. He chuckled in the back seat like a lunatic, which had his Uber driver questioning his sanity in the rearview mirror. If she thought her light threats would keep him away from her, she was sadly mistaken. There hasn't been a single day in his life when he hasn't stopped going after something he wants because someone told him to. Mercedes got out of the Uber and began climbing the stairs until she w
Sedar grabbed her hand and pulled her along with him as the elevator doors slid open. He swiped his keycard, and they entered his suite, which still had this morning's breakfast on the table and smelled like whisky and sex. He caught her gaze as she looked at the countertop where she sat, naked for him as he drank straight from her nectar. He ran his finger down the side of her arm, watching as she shook visibly in front of him. She turned to face him, a sad glint in her eyes and her bottom lip trembling. "Say what you dragged me here for so I can leave." She sat at the table, took a bagel, and began eating it. "Would you like some coffee with that?" As he grinned at her, he asked, amused. "I'd like a Turkish tea," she sighed. "I'm missing the herbal goodness." She looked at him, her eyes pleading. "One Turkish tea coming up," he said, taking off his blazer and hanging it over the chair before going to make her tea. Mercedes continued
Sedar was taken through to the back exit of the airport after landing in Istanbul to avoid the paparazzi who were circling the premises like a bunch of vultures. He didn't think the media was a worthy adversary for the inside scoop on his betrayal of his wife. As far as he was concerned, he had nothing to say to them; the country did not have the privilege of knowing everything about him at any given time. And when it came to Mercedes, he felt compelled to defend her status at any cost. Besides, he really wanted to get home and have a chat with his büyük baba, who he felt leaked his marital status the moment his lawyers would've found out, after doing a deep dive on his divorce case without his knowledge. He climbed into his black jeep, feeling exhausted from living a tiresome lifestyle, and drove back home. As he entered the living room, he noticed his büyük baba sitting on the sofa, reading the newspaper and sipping Turkish tea.
Two days later.....Mercedes stepped out of the elevator, her heels clicking against the expensive marble flooring, announcing her arrival. She approached the front desk, looking around the room and noticing that it was empty. She looked up at the large ancient clock on the wall and realised she was 30 minutes early."Hi, Mel is my name. Welcome to Ford, Bishop, and Lennox Enterprises. Do you have a meeting this morning?" Mel, with boxed dyed violet-black hair, asked, popping gum in her mouth as she stared at her computer screen and her acrylic nails tapped against her keyboard, filling the room with the agonising sound."Yeah, I have a 10 a.m. appointment with Riley." She replied, her brow furrowed, as she watched Mel with interest.Mel picked up the phone and put it to her ear. "Your ten o'clock has arrived." She raised her head and met Mercedes' gaze. "Of course, I can do that." She pushed back from her office chair and walked around the
Three days later... Istanbul, Turkey... "There is someone here to see you, Mr Ozturk," Neriman informed Sedar over the phone. "I requested that you cancel all of my appointments." He mumbled into the phone. "Ah... This is not a scheduled appointment. But I'm afraid you'll kill me if I don't tell you that this person is someone you'll want to see." He looked at his watch, it was 6 p.m. and he rubbed his irritated hand across his face. He'd returned from New Zealand with a slew of blunders that needed to be fixed. The team Mercedes had assembled to complete the complex had refused to work under Ali and had defected to Aytac's firm. 'That slimy creep would gladly take my left nutsack if he could.' He thought to himself as he accidentally snapped the pen he was holding in half. He threw it across the room, pulling a bottle of whisky and two glasses from his top drawer. Whoever came to see him would have
He placed his hands on the sides of her face, and she swallowed. "I, too, have a condition." "Name it," He insisted. "Don't make me stay at your grandfather's house." She begged, she couldn't stand having to put up with his snide remarks. "By tomorrow night, he'll be gone." He stated. "Are you going to kick him out?" She was surprised and assumed they had to move out. "Evet, the house is mine; I was only keeping him nearby to keep an eye on him until I found a way to depose him as CEO." "I'm leaving for New Zealand tonight and will be back in a couple of days. I need to inform the Manson Brothers that I won't be able to stay and assist them, and I need to inform Ezekiel that I'm leaving." She enlightened him. He nodded his head, "Let's celebrate by going out to dinner." He winked at her, wanting to spend time with her alone. "My flight is in two hours; by the time I get back to the hotel and airport, it'll be time for m
Sedar entered his ensuite, turning on his shower as he undressed, getting out of his rain-soaked suit with shivering limbs. He stood under the hot water as it sprayed over his cold body and thought about Mercedes before she left for New Zealand. Reminiscence... He'd returned Mercedes to her hotel room to collect her belongings and change before driving her to the private hangar where he pays to keep his jet. "Are you really going to keep your first encounter with me a secret?" She looked at him with wide eyes, aghast. "Evet, not every memory is meant to be shared." He chuckled at her as they walked towards the jet, her luggage in his hands. "I really wish you had showered before you brought me here. You're going to catch a cold." As she touched his arm, she shook her head. "I survived a major car wreck; a head cold is nothing." He said sarcastically, winking at her with a broad smile on his face. He couldn't bring himself to te
