Leilani
"Why the hell would I need a bodyguard?" I asked him.
That cocky bastard just smiled at me and shrugged. I wanted to throw him out, but Mason was six feet tall and covered in muscles. I couldn't move him an inch if he didn't want me to.
"Not my place to ask," he said. "Phoenix gave me orders and I'm following them."
I shook my head, completely mystified.
First, Mason shows up at my door early in the morning out of nowhere. I didn't even know he knew where I lived, but fine, that's no big deal. Then he starts talking dirty to me, sending chills of excitement up my spine. Truthfully, I loved it; I loved the way he spoke to me. It was forbidden and dirty and exciting, and I'd been waiting for Mason to say that sort of thing to me for a long time.
I'd always liked him. I watched him from afar, excited by his body, his cocky attitude, the way he seemed to effortlessly pull women into his life. But he was a player and a biker, and I knew better than to actually start to have feelings for a man like that. No, the only thing I wanted from him was his strong body pressed against mine.
But I'd never act on that, of course. He'd have hell to pay with Phoenix and the others. Still, couldn't hurt a girl to fantasize a little bit.
But there he was, starting to make some of my fantasy real.
Then this bodyguard bombshell. What the hell was going on this morning? Something was up with the club; that was clear. I knew all about the war, but Phoenix hadn't said a word to me last night about needing a bodyguard. This was new, and it was definitely seriously if he was sending Mason to take care of me.
"No way," I said. "Not happening. I'm calling my father."
He shrugged, leaning against the counter. "Do what you have to do, princess."
I glared at him but didn't have the strength to argue. I left the room and went to my bedroom, grabbing my cell phone. I heard Mason moving around out in the kitchen, pouring himself some coffee.
I dialed Phoenix's number, and he answered on the second ring.
"Phoenix," he grunted.
"What the hell are you up to, Dad?" I demanded.
He laughed. "Hi, Leilani. I was expecting this call."
"A bodyguard? What the hell?"
"Listen, it's for your own good. Mason is a decent guy and is good at what he does. Just ignore him."
"No," I said, surprised by my own anger. "Tell me why you have one of your guys following me around first."
"I will," he said. "I promise. Just not this second."
"Right this second," I said.
"After work," he answered. "You'll come to the clubhouse and I'll tell you everything."
"Dad," I warned, "I'm not going along with this if you can't give me something."
He paused. "Listen, Leilani," he said. "This is pretty serious. It's better if we talk in person."
"Am I in danger?"
"Not right this second, but I'm being careful."
I blinked. I had never been in danger before or really even close to it. Phoenix kept his club business far away from me, and I'd never once felt like I was in trouble.
This was completely new. I could hear the stress in his voice, and I'd seen it all over his face the night before. This war was a drag on him, drawing him down.
I took a deep breath and then let it out. "Okay," I said. "Fine. We'll talk later."
"Thanks," he said. "I'll explain everything."
"Yeah, well, you better."
"Bye. Have a good shift."
"Bye.'
I hung the phone up and tossed it onto the bed.
Whatever was happening must be pretty serious. If it was bad enough for him to put one of his best enforcers on me, he must have been really worried. And if he was worried, then I probably should've been, too
Except I wasn't. It just didn't really seem real to me, especially considering I didn't even know what was going on. Plus, Mason was a very competent man. I'd heard things about him, lots of things, some of them pretty downright terrifying. He wasn't the sort of person you messed with and expected to walk away from.
Which was what drew me toward him. Mason lived his life on his terms. I envied that freedom.
I wrapped a robe around myself and went out into the living room.
"Okay," I said to Mason. He was sitting on my couch, drinking coffee and watching the news on TV. "I talked to my dad."
"Good," he grunted. "How'd that go?"
"Sounds like you're sticking around."
He looked up at me and grinned. "Good deal. I can't wait to follow your pretty ass around all day."
"It's going to be boring," I warned. "You know that, right?"
He laughed. "Boring? Hell no. This is the best job I've ever been given. I get to stare at you all day long."
I felt myself starting to blush and quickly shook it off. "What would Phoenix think if he heard you saying that?"
"Go ahead," he said, his smirk getting bigger. "Tell on me."
"I might."
"You won't. You like it too damn much. I bet you're dripping wet over there just thinking about all the dirty things you can do with your new bodyguard."
I opened my mouth to say something cutting but stopped. I took a deep breath, reigning my anger in, and nodded. "I'm showering and getting dressed. Make yourself at home."
He looked back at the TV and kicked his feet up. "Already did."
I shook my head and walked back into my bedroom.
Mason was a dangerous man, for a lot of reasons. I needed to keep my head on straight if I was going to deal with him. I quickly walked into the bathroom and started the water, getting in.
I didn't know a whole lot about him. We'd been orbiting each other for years, had a few conversations, even opened up to each other once or twice. But really, for all this time and all the talking, I couldn't say I knew him at all. I couldn't say what he was thinking or what he wanted from all this. He was a loyal Demons member, one of the best really, but he kept to himself for the most part.
And what was my life going to be like with him around? I didn't want or need a babysitter. I was tolerating him today because Phoenix promised he'd explain everything later. But the idea of Mason following me around day and night for the foreseeable future did not bode well.
Especially considering I couldn't stop thinking about that cocky grin sitting just out in my living room. I was soaking wet, he was right. A single word and I was dripping for him, which only surprised the hell out of me. My body had never reacted to a man like that before, and suddenly he was able to set me off with just a look and a word.
It was bad, and I had no clue how much worse it was likely to get.
I finished showering, tossing a towel around myself. I stepped out and crossed the hallway, heading into my bedroom. I dropped the towel, pulled on a pair of panties, and started to put my bra on.
Then I heard his boots on the floor and looked over.
"Shit," he said. He looked surprised for a second as his eyes took in my body. I pressed my bra against my breasts, covering them. He quickly turned away.
"What the hell are you doing?" I said, quickly hooking my bra. My heart was pounding in my ears and excitement coursed through my blood.
"Thought this was the bathroom," he said.
"Across the hall. You know, the room with the toilet."
"You left the door open. I didn't know." He was looking away, but that devilish smile still played on his lips.
"If you're going to follow me around, you should get better with directions."
"Sorry about that, princess," he said. "Though I can't say I minded the show."
"Don't get used to it."
"Not sure I ever could get used to a body like that," he said. "You look like you're a new surprise every fucking day."
I shook my head. "You going to the bathroom or what?"
He just smirked, turned, and went into the bathroom, shutting the door behind him.
A chill ran down my spine as I finished getting dressed. Mason had been here for an hour and already he'd sent me spinning into the deepest levels of lust.
I was really going to have to be careful. I wasn't used to having someone around all the time, especially not someone like Mason.
He was a dangerous man, and my life wasn't used to danger.
MasonI could feel Leilani clinging on to me as we rode down the street, wind blowing through her thick blond hair.I kept thinking about that moment earlier, seeing her half dressed there, hands holding up her bra, pressing her breasts together like that. My cock was ready to burst from my fucking pants. I hadn't meant to walk in on her like that, but I was fucking glad as hell that it had happened. And what drove me even wilder was the fact that she didn't seem to mind all that much. Sure, she was annoyed, but she didn't flip out. She just finished getting dressed and looked at me with that icy stare that both sent shivers down my spine and made my dick fucking hard.I didn't know what the fuck Phoenix was thinking putting me in charge of his sexy-as-hell daughter, but what the fuck, I wasn't going to complain. As far as I was concerned, this was the easiest job I'd been given in a long time. Sure, it was dangerous, and I'd want to tear her fucking clothes off every second I was aro
MasonAt around one, Leilani came over to my table and sat down across from me."You look exhausted," I said."I am." She leaned back and closed her eyes. "Being on my feet all day is a pain.""Sorry to hear it."She opened her eyes and looked at me. "Do you have to stare at me all day?" she asked."No," I said, "but I like it.""Do you want a book or something?"I shook my head. "No, thanks."She looked at me silently for a second. "Well, I'm on break. I'll be in the back eating if you need something.""Enjoy," I said. She got up and left.I wanted to be in the back, eating her sweet little pussy. The day slipped by like that, minute after boring minute.I ate lunch, and then another lunch, and had more coffee, and stared at my phone, and stared at Leilani's beautiful ass, and did all that over again until finally it was around five. Her shift was due to end pretty soon.Being a bodyguard was boring as shit so far. I absently wondered if I was going to have to take up some new hobby
LeilaniThat arrogant bastard.I was fuming as I got changed in the back room after work. Just ten minutes earlier, Mason had risked my job by stepping in and intimidating a patron, and if my manager ever heard about it, I was done.True, that guy was being a dick. There was no doubt about that. He was patiently telling me about how awful I was, and how he wasn't going to tip me at all. I did savor the look on his face as huge Mason, all covered in tattoos and wearing his Demons leather vest, came walking over to talk to him.But I didn't need rescuing. That asshole didn't have to step in and handle that guy for me, because I was handling him just fine. Not everyone got to act like a huge brute and throw their weight around. And yet part of me was totally thrilled by the whole thing. I savored that weak little asshole getting up and practically running away while Mason calmly smiled at him. I believed every word Mason had said when he threatened the guy, especially considering the thi
LeilaniI saw Mason sit down next to the old-timers and get a drink out of the corner of my eye as I knocked on my dad’s office door.“Who is it?” he called out.“It’s me,” I said.“Come in.”I pushed the door open. Dad was sitting with his legs up on the desk, smoking a cigar. It seemed like that was all he ever did, though I knew there was a lot more to it than just looking tough. He was constantly making deals, balancing books, dealing with crises. There was always work in a gang as large as the Demons.“Sit,” he grunted.I took a seat. “Okay,” I said. “Time to talk.”He frowned and took a big puff. “Can’t we just make some small talk first?”“No,” I said.“How was Mason?”“Dad?”“Come on, just for a minute.”I sighed. “Fine. Delay the inevitable.” I glanced at the wall. “Mason was good.”“Treated you well?”“As well as a guy like him can.”Dad raised an eyebrow. “Any problems?”I shook my head quickly. “No, not at all. Mason is great.”“Good,” he said. “I wasn’t sure about putting
MasonI had no clue what she talked about with Phoenix in there, but as soon as Leilani came out of the office, she was looking for trouble. She slammed back whisky after whisky. I watched her cautiously as the clubhouse began to fill up. I took it slow, knowing that I was still on the fucking clock and responsible for the girl.“So, what was that all about?” I finally asked her after she knocked back her fourth shot.“Don’t you worry about it, tough guy,” she said, smiling and drunk.“Not worried. Curious.”“I bet you’re curious.” She waved at TomTom and held up her glass. “You’re a real curious guy.”I grinned at her. “Must’ve been bad. Still pissed I have to follow you around?”Tom Tom brought her a drink and she leaned over the table, smiling at me. “Maybe. Maybe not. What do you think?”“I think you’re getting drunk because you don’t feel like dealing with the hard shit.”She raised an eyebrow and then laughed. “Pretty on point for a dumb biker.”“Careful there, princess,” I said
LeilaniI woke up, my head pounding and groggy. It took me a second to realize that I was lying on top of my comforter with a thin blanket spread over top me, my clothes still on.Then the events of the night came slowly back to me.I rolled over onto my back and groaned, putting my head in my hands. I was hungover as hell, and everything just seemed horrible in so many ways.I couldn’t believe I had gotten that wasted in front of Mason. He had practically carried me up to my room like the silly mess I was. That was probably the most disgraceful I’d acted in a really long time, and Mason probably had good reason to be annoyed with me.I groaned again as I remembered calling him a dog of the club. That was a pretty low blow, especially considering I was in the same position as him, more or less.We both grew up in the club, both owed our lives to it. It wasn’t fair to call him a dog, especially considering I was thinking about doing something as crazy as marrying a complete stranger fo
LeilaniWork dragged painfully slow.Like the day before, Mason sat in a booth and basically watched me. This time he read a book on and off, something about World War II, but he was still a little unnerving. It was hard to concentrate on my tables, and I made a few mistakes. Between Mason’s intense gaze and my own mind buzzing about the marriage thing, I wasn’t really sure what I was doing. And that was on my mind all day. Eight hours of waiting on tables, but really it was eight hours of going back and forth on the whole idea.Of course an arranged marriage was incredibly outdated and absurd, but in the MC world, stuff like that still happened every once in awhile to cement relationships, just like in the old days. Clubs were basically very conservative groups and sometimes did things that seemed hopelessly backward to other people. But I understood why this arranged marriage would be important. From Jetter’s perspective, letting his people patch over to the Demons was like signing
MasonI didn’t know what was going through the girl’s head, but she sure as hell could fucking dance. Not that I much cared about dancing. Still, there was nothing better than having an ass like Leilani’s rubbed up against your cock while you moved to the beat. And I could move with the best of them. The club was packed and loud. It wasn’t my sort of joint. I preferred something more southern, more honky-tonk and less like a shitty east coast banger. But Leilani was making the calls, and I was just following along. After work, I dropped her at her place, swung by my own to change into fresh clothes, and then picked her up. She came down in these tight black jeans that made her ass look fantastic and this black shirt that showed off just a hint of her fantastic tits, her hair done up. She looked like a fucking sexy biker chick, which was what she was going for.She directed me to this club and was about to leave when she saw the line, but I knew the bouncer. I got us in without any tro
Jaguar. The desert wind swept through the valley as the Sandcastles MC climbed onto our bikes. There was a roar from the devil himself as we kicked our bikes alive. We rode out in formation. We were the Sandcastles MC. Nobody fucked with us, because we were the biggest and baddest fuckers alive. We took what we wanted. But we also weren’t fucking stupid. We made deals when deals made sense. And right now, everyone knew a deal with the Snakes made sense before we ended up killing each other completely.War wasn’t over, though. The Rebels would get crushed, but somehow I knew our part in all this wasn’t over yet.As we rode back, my mind was firmly on my old lady, on Veronica. She’d be safe now. She’d be safe and we could figure out what the fuck we wanted.Although I knew what I wanted. It was the same thing I’d wanted from the start of everything, from the very moment I saw her come into the damn clubhouse that first crazy night.I wanted to claim her. I wanted to make her mine.I rod
Veronica.Leilani and Mason laughed as I led Jaguar back toward the bathrooms. “Can’t say I’m surprised you want another taste already,” he said, grabbing my hips.I pushed him away. “Stop that. I want to know what happened.”“Nothing, like I said.”“Jaguar. Tell me.”He sighed. “Might as well tell you the truth.”I crossed my arms. “Well?”“So, here’s the deal. We think the Rebels were acting as a middle man for some South American cartel. Just a few minutes ago, I found diamonds hidden inside the heroin, probably meant for the Snakes.”I nodded slowly. “That’s why they wanted that shipment so badly.”“Right. They have millions in that briefcase, and they thought you’d stolen it.”“Shit,” I said. “What’s going to happen?”“The council is deciding whether we’re returning the case or not.”I stared at him. “So basically, if they don’t return the case, it’s going to be war, right?”“All-out war,” he said, frowning. “Who knows if we’ll survive.”I pressed myself against him. “We’ll get t
Veronica.“How’s married life?” Leilani asked me.Mason laughed and drank his beer. I shrugged. “It’s fine,” I said. “Not real, though.”“Real enough I bet,” Mason said. “You guys been fuckin’ like rabbits?”Leilani smacked his arm. “Cut it out, you ape.”“What? I’m just askin’.”I shook my head. “No, of course not.”“Of course not?” Leilani asked. “Okay, whatever you say.”“Not like Jaguar,” Mason grumbled. “Not like him at all.”“What do you mean?”Leilani gave Mason a look. “I already told her.”“You told her that Jaguar is a manwhore?” Mason laughed. “Traitor.”“She needed to know.”“Maybe.” Mason looked at me. “Jaguar’s been in every pussy this half of Austin, maybe the whole city. Who knows?”I nodded, blushing. Thinking about him having sex with another girl made my jealousy flare like crazy, but I didn’t have any real claim over him. “It’s okay,” I said. “Doesn’t matter.”“Guess not now,” Mason said. “He never married one of them. Actually, he never saw one more than a single
Jaguar.Nothing was better for my head than fucking Veronica. There wasn’t anything in the world that could take the stress away like that woman’s pussy. I had no clue how or why, but she was fucking incredible, insatiable, wet and amazing. We headed back toward the clubhouse. I figured that would be the safest place to be for a while after the shootout, and plus, I needed to touch base with Phoenix. I had to see what was going on.Because we may have been close to finishing things, but we still had some damn work to do.I kept thinking about Veronica the whole ride back. I could feel her gripping my body on the bike, her hands on my chest as the wind whipped past. It was becoming more about just keeping her safe, more about helping someone I knew from my past.Hell, it always had been. I had to admit to myself that it was more than just because I fucking wanted to help her.I felt something for her. Felt something I didn’t think I’d ever feel. Maybe I had always felt it; maybe it was
Veronica. He dropped down onto his knees in front of me and the bike and began to suck at my pussy. I moaned, amazed that he kept the bike upright while eating me. I loved the feeling of the leather underneath me, his strong hands holding my hips steady, and his tongue and mouth sucking my clit. If I wasn’t as soaked as possible before, I was in that moment.I could barely think. There was only Jaguar sucking my pussy, licking my clit like an animal, ferocious and starving. He was unstoppable as he worked me, and it was driving me wild. I loved getting my pussy licked while I was sitting on a motorcycle; there was something about the power of the bike and the strength of Jaguar that really pushed me to the limit.Desire flooded through me, filling my veins. His hands held me steady, his tongue sliding inside my pussy. “Fuck I love your taste,” he grunted. “I could eat this pussy all fucking day.”“Shit Jaguar,” I said. “I can’t ever say no to you.”“Damn right you can’t.”He went back
Veronica.I was losing myself in Jaguar’s embrace. He was so gruff and talked dirty all the time, but he really did care about me, really did want me to be safe. And he’d never really left me.The revelation that my father had arrested him kept running through my mind. I knew Daddy was a drunk and a bastard, but I couldn’t believe he would put an innocent man in jail for months with no problem.I felt like I was beginning to understand Jaguar. The world had shit on him, over and over again, and now he was out to get his own revenge. He’d joined the Sandcastles and was a hard badass because he didn’t know any other way to live. And that was what drew me to him. He lived however he wanted, took whatever he wanted, did whatever he wanted. Part of me wished I could live like that, but it was hard to exist in a world that wanted you to conform all the time.Jaguar didn’t conform. Jaguar did whatever he wanted.I reached up and touched his face and drew his lips down toward me. I felt his m
Jaguar.I knocked back my whisky and poured another.I couldn’t believe how angry I was. Phoenix letting Jetter go was complete bullshit, the worst kind of cowardice. I couldn’t tell if Phoenix wanted this war or if he wanted to be a pussy-ass bitch and suck the dick of our enemies.Veronica was quiet, but I was too pissed off to do anything about it. She had just been through something not a lot of guys witnessed, a real fucking shootout and a motorcycle chase. That we weren’t all arrested and rotting in prison was a fucking miracle.Actually, it was because we had bribed the police big time. But still, the whole fucking thing was madness. And as I knocked back my second whisky, my phone began to vibrate. I grabbed it, assuming it was Phoenix.“Yeah?” I said, walking away from Veronica.“Hi there, Jaguar.”I stopped in my tracks. “Jetter?”“The one and only. How’s our girl?”“You’re lucky to be alive, you motherfucker,” I growled.“Calm down, Jaguar,” he said. “No need for that.”“Wh
Veronica.Phoenix’s plan was simple. He had assumed that Jetter was going into this a little overconfident, that he’d make some sort of dramatic move. The night before, Phoenix had placed a bunch of Demon members all around the property, and the smoke was their signal to attack.Men poured out of hiding places. The Rebels dropped back to use their armored car as cover, but they were way outnumbered. Phoenix rushed out into the open. “Stop the bikes!” he yelled.Jaguar grabbed me and we made a run for it while the other Rebels were pinned down. Jaguar threw me onto the back of his bike and hopped onto the front. Mason and Spoil joined us as we tore our way past the armored car, riding fast after Jetter. Mason and Spoil went ahead, leading the charge, while Jaguar and I brought up the rear.I wasn’t thinking, couldn’t think. There was only the chase and what was happening. The sound of gunfire sank away as we caught sight of Jetter and his crew just ahead. We tore after them, running re
Veronica.Jaguar looked at me, frowning. “You don’t have to do this, Veronica.”“Yes, I do.”I looked out across the construction site, butterflies churning in my stomach.Yesterday, Jaguar had come back from the clubhouse and explained to me Phoenix’s plan. At first I wasn’t sure, but the more I thought about it, the more I thought about how I had dragged his whole club into a war they had nothing to do with, the more I knew I had to do what I could to help.Even if I was acting as bait.Jaguar, for his part, said that it was my choice. He said he would never bring me into danger again, never force me to do something I didn’t want to do. I believed him, but I also knew that his club needed this from me.And so I said I’d do it. Even when he warned me against it, asked me to reconsider, I knew it was the right thing to do.Which was easy at the time. But standing in that construction site the next day only made me realize how far out of my depth I was.“Let’s go,” Jaguar grunted. We h
