Mason
Holy fucking shit.
Me, Mason, a bodyguard to Leilani? Acting as a bodyguard wasn't an easy gig for anyone, but acting as a bodyguard to the princess of the bikers was going to be even worse.
Not to mention I couldn't keep my fucking eyes off her in the best of circumstances.
My mind flipped back to the night before. I'd kept looking at her, sitting there with that new girl, Sara or something like that. The way she moved, smiled, laughed, it all made my fucking cock hard as hell. I wanted her and was fascinated by her strength. She was a biker chick through and through, down to her core.
But she was off-limits, incredibly off-limits. And now Phoenix wanted me to follow her around, protect her, keep her safe, all that shit?
I almost wished he had trusted someone else, but he hadn't. He trusted me with this, and I wasn't going to let my club down.
I got on my bike and kicked it into gear, tearing ass out of there and heading toward the address on the piece of paper.
I wasn't exactly known for keeping my dick in my pants; that was for sure. But for years I had avoided Leilani, moved away as soon as I felt her getting too close, stepped back if she was being too nice. I'd never let myself cross that line before, and I wasn't going to now.
I had to remember that this was just a job, just another job that I had to do for my club, for my family.
I looked at Phoenix like a father figure. I wanted to be like him, to be as cold and calculating and as competent as he was. I was good at what I did, and I wanted to prove myself.
I pulled up outside a little apartment building on the outskirts of downtown. I was a little surprised that Leilani lived in such a nice little spot, the sort of place college kids liked to live, but this was the place on the paper. I got off my bike, feeling out of fucking place but not really caring either way.
I walked up to the door and buzzed her apartment.
Silence.
"Shit," I grumbled. "Maybe I missed her."
I buzzed again and again until finally her voice came over the intercom.
"What the fuck do you want?" she asked, sounding sleepy.
"Leilani," I said, "it's Mason. Open up."
There was a pause. "Mason? What are you doing here?"
"Your father sent me," I said. "I have to talk to you."
I was really, really dreading this.
Leilani was not known for her calm serenity. Leilani was a fucking spitfire. We all called her the biker princess, but that was far from the truth. Leilani was as down to earth as they got, but she didn't take shit from anyone, and a lot of guys didn't like that.
Personally, that sort of thing got my cock nice and hard. I loved seeing her push her weight around these hard guys, making them bite back comments they'd have said to basically any other woman. Leilani could do things nobody else could because of her father, and she wasn't afraid to use that power.
She didn't hesitate to talk back to a big, hulking biker. A big biker like me.
And I knew she was not going to be happy about this.
"Fine," she said. "Come up."
The door buzzed and I pulled it open. The building was nice, modern, and comfortable. My boots made a nice thump as I walked up the stairs and stopped outside her door.
I knocked and it opened.
"Come in," she said.
I shut the door behind me. She stood a few feet away, her arms crossed, and I stopped in my fucking tracks when I got a look at her.
Hair in a messy bun, falling all down her gorgeous fucking face. Her shorts were tiny and short, showing off her long, sexy legs. And that tank top wasn't doing much to hide her full, incredible fucking breasts, pushed up by her arms.
But it was her eyes that really did me in. Deep and piercing, and more than a little annoyed, she looked at me like she wanted me to fucking leave and also never exist all at once.
"Why are you here, Mason?"
There it was, my name from her mouth again. The way she said it both pissed me off and drove me wild.
"Phoenix sent me," I said. "I got to tell you something."
"So tell me and then leave," she said. "I have work in an hour."
"I know," I said. "Maybe you should sit."
"Maybe you should say it before I get really annoyed."
I couldn't help but grin at her. "Wild one, aren't you?" I asked her. "Most guys at the club hate that mouth of yours."
"Most guys at the club can't handle me," she said.
"I agree." I laughed and stepped toward her. "Personally, I like that mouth, and all the things it's capable of."
Her jaw fucking dropped.
I savored that shocked look on her face, because I wasn't going to get to see it again. I'd surprised her, but I doubted I'd surprise her twice. And fuck was it worth it.
"I can't believe you'd say that to me," she said.
"What, because your daddy is the club president?" I asked. "Doesn't change the fact that I could make you moan loud and make your body sweat."
She stared at me, totally bewildered, before finally laughing. "Okay, you lost your mind," she said, walking into the kitchen.
I grinned and watched her go. I needed her a little off balance before I told her this news. Plus, it wasn't like she was going to tell her dad on me just because I talked a little dirty to her.
And bedsides, all I did was speak the truth.
"Look, Leilani," I said, following her. "I'm here for a simple reason."
"Oh, more than just to say dirty things to me?"
"I can do that too, if you want," I said, smirking.
"No. Tell me what's really going on."
She poured herself some coffee but didn't offer me any.
"Phoenix wants me to watch over you," I said.
She raised an eyebrow. "What?"
"I'm your new bodyguard, princess."
Leilani"Why the hell would I need a bodyguard?" I asked him. That cocky bastard just smiled at me and shrugged. I wanted to throw him out, but Mason was six feet tall and covered in muscles. I couldn't move him an inch if he didn't want me to."Not my place to ask," he said. "Phoenix gave me orders and I'm following them."I shook my head, completely mystified.First, Mason shows up at my door early in the morning out of nowhere. I didn't even know he knew where I lived, but fine, that's no big deal. Then he starts talking dirty to me, sending chills of excitement up my spine. Truthfully, I loved it; I loved the way he spoke to me. It was forbidden and dirty and exciting, and I'd been waiting for Mason to say that sort of thing to me for a long time.I'd always liked him. I watched him from afar, excited by his body, his cocky attitude, the way he seemed to effortlessly pull women into his life. But he was a player and a biker, and I knew better than to actually start to have feeling
MasonI could feel Leilani clinging on to me as we rode down the street, wind blowing through her thick blond hair.I kept thinking about that moment earlier, seeing her half dressed there, hands holding up her bra, pressing her breasts together like that. My cock was ready to burst from my fucking pants. I hadn't meant to walk in on her like that, but I was fucking glad as hell that it had happened. And what drove me even wilder was the fact that she didn't seem to mind all that much. Sure, she was annoyed, but she didn't flip out. She just finished getting dressed and looked at me with that icy stare that both sent shivers down my spine and made my dick fucking hard.I didn't know what the fuck Phoenix was thinking putting me in charge of his sexy-as-hell daughter, but what the fuck, I wasn't going to complain. As far as I was concerned, this was the easiest job I'd been given in a long time. Sure, it was dangerous, and I'd want to tear her fucking clothes off every second I was aro
MasonAt around one, Leilani came over to my table and sat down across from me."You look exhausted," I said."I am." She leaned back and closed her eyes. "Being on my feet all day is a pain.""Sorry to hear it."She opened her eyes and looked at me. "Do you have to stare at me all day?" she asked."No," I said, "but I like it.""Do you want a book or something?"I shook my head. "No, thanks."She looked at me silently for a second. "Well, I'm on break. I'll be in the back eating if you need something.""Enjoy," I said. She got up and left.I wanted to be in the back, eating her sweet little pussy. The day slipped by like that, minute after boring minute.I ate lunch, and then another lunch, and had more coffee, and stared at my phone, and stared at Leilani's beautiful ass, and did all that over again until finally it was around five. Her shift was due to end pretty soon.Being a bodyguard was boring as shit so far. I absently wondered if I was going to have to take up some new hobby
LeilaniThat arrogant bastard.I was fuming as I got changed in the back room after work. Just ten minutes earlier, Mason had risked my job by stepping in and intimidating a patron, and if my manager ever heard about it, I was done.True, that guy was being a dick. There was no doubt about that. He was patiently telling me about how awful I was, and how he wasn't going to tip me at all. I did savor the look on his face as huge Mason, all covered in tattoos and wearing his Demons leather vest, came walking over to talk to him.But I didn't need rescuing. That asshole didn't have to step in and handle that guy for me, because I was handling him just fine. Not everyone got to act like a huge brute and throw their weight around. And yet part of me was totally thrilled by the whole thing. I savored that weak little asshole getting up and practically running away while Mason calmly smiled at him. I believed every word Mason had said when he threatened the guy, especially considering the thi
LeilaniI saw Mason sit down next to the old-timers and get a drink out of the corner of my eye as I knocked on my dad’s office door.“Who is it?” he called out.“It’s me,” I said.“Come in.”I pushed the door open. Dad was sitting with his legs up on the desk, smoking a cigar. It seemed like that was all he ever did, though I knew there was a lot more to it than just looking tough. He was constantly making deals, balancing books, dealing with crises. There was always work in a gang as large as the Demons.“Sit,” he grunted.I took a seat. “Okay,” I said. “Time to talk.”He frowned and took a big puff. “Can’t we just make some small talk first?”“No,” I said.“How was Mason?”“Dad?”“Come on, just for a minute.”I sighed. “Fine. Delay the inevitable.” I glanced at the wall. “Mason was good.”“Treated you well?”“As well as a guy like him can.”Dad raised an eyebrow. “Any problems?”I shook my head quickly. “No, not at all. Mason is great.”“Good,” he said. “I wasn’t sure about putting
MasonI had no clue what she talked about with Phoenix in there, but as soon as Leilani came out of the office, she was looking for trouble. She slammed back whisky after whisky. I watched her cautiously as the clubhouse began to fill up. I took it slow, knowing that I was still on the fucking clock and responsible for the girl.“So, what was that all about?” I finally asked her after she knocked back her fourth shot.“Don’t you worry about it, tough guy,” she said, smiling and drunk.“Not worried. Curious.”“I bet you’re curious.” She waved at TomTom and held up her glass. “You’re a real curious guy.”I grinned at her. “Must’ve been bad. Still pissed I have to follow you around?”Tom Tom brought her a drink and she leaned over the table, smiling at me. “Maybe. Maybe not. What do you think?”“I think you’re getting drunk because you don’t feel like dealing with the hard shit.”She raised an eyebrow and then laughed. “Pretty on point for a dumb biker.”“Careful there, princess,” I said
LeilaniI woke up, my head pounding and groggy. It took me a second to realize that I was lying on top of my comforter with a thin blanket spread over top me, my clothes still on.Then the events of the night came slowly back to me.I rolled over onto my back and groaned, putting my head in my hands. I was hungover as hell, and everything just seemed horrible in so many ways.I couldn’t believe I had gotten that wasted in front of Mason. He had practically carried me up to my room like the silly mess I was. That was probably the most disgraceful I’d acted in a really long time, and Mason probably had good reason to be annoyed with me.I groaned again as I remembered calling him a dog of the club. That was a pretty low blow, especially considering I was in the same position as him, more or less.We both grew up in the club, both owed our lives to it. It wasn’t fair to call him a dog, especially considering I was thinking about doing something as crazy as marrying a complete stranger fo
LeilaniWork dragged painfully slow.Like the day before, Mason sat in a booth and basically watched me. This time he read a book on and off, something about World War II, but he was still a little unnerving. It was hard to concentrate on my tables, and I made a few mistakes. Between Mason’s intense gaze and my own mind buzzing about the marriage thing, I wasn’t really sure what I was doing. And that was on my mind all day. Eight hours of waiting on tables, but really it was eight hours of going back and forth on the whole idea.Of course an arranged marriage was incredibly outdated and absurd, but in the MC world, stuff like that still happened every once in awhile to cement relationships, just like in the old days. Clubs were basically very conservative groups and sometimes did things that seemed hopelessly backward to other people. But I understood why this arranged marriage would be important. From Jetter’s perspective, letting his people patch over to the Demons was like signing
LeilaniFourteen months laterI laughed, fumbling in the dark for his belt.“Fuck I’m starving,” Mason said, pushing me back. “Forget that. I want this sweet pussy.”“Shh,” I said. “You’ll wake Ryan up.”“I think you’re the one who needs to work on being quiet.” He pushed me back onto the bed, and I landed, giggling, as he pulled down my panties, tossing them aside. His lips found my neck, kissing me softly, his hands between my legs, working my soaked clit. “I think about this all fucking day long,” he said in my ear.“Me too,” I whispered. His lips moved down my neck and down my breasts. He dropped down onto his knees and spread my legs wide, his mouth pressed against my clit.Pleasure rocked through me as he began to suck my clit, licking me and eating me ferociously. It’d been almost a day since he’d last touched me like this, and that was too long. Mason had been out on a job with the club, and I had been back at home taking care of our little son, Ryan. He was four months old, a
MasonI grabbed a bottle and poured myself a whisky. Before I could drink it, someone walked up beside me.“Got one of those for me?”I grinned and turned. Leilani was standing there, smiling at me, still wearing that fucking sexy wedding dress.“Sure, princess,” I said, pouring her a drink. “You deserve it.”“I saw what happened,” she said softly. “I’m glad he’s dead.”“Worked out,” I said.“Think the Rebels will really join us?”“Some will. Some won’t. We’ll work it out. But the important thing is, it’s over.”“To Jetter, may he rot in fucking hell,” she said. We clinked glasses and drank. She put her glass down on the bar and stepped toward me. “Mason, listen—” she started to say, but I stopped her. I grabbed her by the hips and pressed her against me, kissing the girl hard on the mouth. She kissed me back without hesitation.Fuck, nothing ever tasted sweeter in my whole life. Not whisky, nothing. I wanted her, and finally I could have her in front of everyone without any second th
MasonAll eyes were on Leilani and Phoenix as he walked her down the aisle, which was exactly what we wanted. My heart was beating slowly in my chest as I snuck out of Phoenix’s office, heading to my right. I moved along the outskirts of the room, going wide around the Rebels, getting into position. For the past few days, we’d been planning for this. Everything we’d done had led to this moment, and the gamble we were about to make could go horribly wrong, but we were hoping the men in this room were smarter than we had given them credit for so far.I saw a few other men moving along the outskirts just like me, dressed in suits so as not to draw attention, but they had the same aim I did. I caught Dow’s eye, and he made some inane comment that got a laugh, but it was actually a code for Ford to keep his bullshit going a bit longer to let us get into position. Finally, I was back where I needed to be, and I nodded at Dow again. Noble made another stupid joke, which was the sign for Ford
LeilaniI thought time was supposed to drag when you were nervous. But when Mason knocked on the door again, it felt like he had just stepped out of the room.He opened the door. “Ready?”“Ready,” Caralee said.He looked at me. “I’ll be with you.”“I know.”I walked forward, taking a deep breath, and stepped out the door, Caralee in tow.“Caralee, you go first with Burke. Phoenix will walk Leilani down the aisle.” Caralee nodded. We moved down the back hallway and stopped near Phoenix’s office door. It was open, and inside were Burke and Phoenix, both looking uncomfortable in their suits.“Hello, boys,” I said, stepping inside.“Wow,” Phoenix said. “Honey, you look beautiful.”“Thanks, Dad.” He took my hand and squeezed it, smiling.Caralee stood next to Burke. They just nodded to each other without speaking. Burke had been in a bad mood all day long, probably because his plan had fallen apart. At least his plan to kill me and take over the club. The wedding was probably never meant t
LeilaniI stared at myself in the mirror, the veil pushed up over my hair, and couldn’t help but laugh. My wedding day. I never really thought this day would come, despite everything we’d gone through to get here. I wanted it to happen if at least to help save the club that had raised and protected me.“You look amazing,” Caralee said. “Seriously. If I were a guy, I’d have such a big boner right now.”I looked at her and laughed. “A big boner?”“Yeah, you know, a stiffy.”I shook my head. “Hard cock, Caralee.”“Whatever. You make me hard.”I laughed again and looked back in the mirror. “Yeah. I clean up okay.”“Okay? Shit. Better than okay.”I had to admit that I did look pretty damn good in my dress. All white with small black accents, it was the perfect biker wedding dress. It was tight along the top, making my boobs look enormous and amazing, and spread out loosely in ribbons of tulle and satin bows.“You look way better than I did on my wedding day,” Caralee said.“Well that’s not
MasonWe followed Phoenix back down the hall and into the weapons locker. It was a pretty big room, about the size of a one-car garage. It was soundproof and full of weapons hanging on the walls in racks, plus ammunition and bulletproof vests.Noble was leaning against a rack, absently picking at his nails. The Rebel was awake and looking around, clearly a bit groggy.I shut the door and locked it.“Well, Leeroy,” Phoenix said, “you’ve made a fucking mess.”“Where am I?” he asked, slurring his words.“You’re in a locked, soundproof room,” Phoenix said, “surrounded by men who want to do you harm.”He slowly seemed to wake up a bit, looking around. “Ah, shit,” he said.“That’s right,” Phoenix said. “Shit.”“What do you want from me? Just fuckin’ kill me if you’re gonna.”“We want answers first,” I said, stepping toward him. “You can save yourself a lot of pain if you tell us what we want to know.”“Why bother?” he asked. “You’ll just kill me anyway.”“Maybe, but we might let you live if
MasonAfter my fucking face got stitched up, Dow came back with a truck. We helped pile the dead body into it, and he headed out to dump the thing out in the desert where it would never be found.Meanwhile, Noble shoved the Rebel into the back of their van. He got into the driver’s seat and rolled down the window. “Meet me at the club,” he said. “I’ll send some guys back for my bike.”“Got it.” He pulled out and I got onto my own bike, kicking it to life.My fucking face was aching, but I was too angry to feel it. This whole thing had gotten fucked faster than I could have imagined, and yet Leilani still thought she was really going through with this marriage.Truth was, after this little fucking stunt, that marriage was done. I didn’t know what Phoenix was thinking, but a direct attempt on his daughter’s life by the club he was trying to patch over basically meant the deal had to be off.But we still had questions, lots of fucking questions. Fortunately for us, we had someone to ask.
LeilaniI felt dizzy, so I quickly leaned up against the bike, taking deep, gulping breaths.“You’re safe,” Mason said to me. “You’re safe. Just breathe. Breathe, Leilani.”I listened to his voice, keeping myself calm, breathing deeply, breathing deeply.“Who are you?” Mason asked the man.“Now I can make a noise?”“Be a smartass and I’ll waste you.”“Fine,” the man said. “I’m surprised you don’t recognize me.”“Why the fuck would I?”“You kicked me in the face earlier today.”I stared at the man as it really sank in. “You’re a Rebel?” I asked him.“Bingo.” He flashed a grin that was missing a few teeth.Mason bashed him in the head with his gun. The man fell back but wasn’t knocked out. He groaned.“You fucking cunt. Don’t look at her,” he said.“You don’t get it,” the man said. “You really don’t get it.”“Explain it to me then,” Mason said, pressing the gun against his skull.“It’s all over. Everything is over.”Mason started saying something, but it was drowned out by the sound of
LeilaniMason said he was fine to take me to work, but he definitely didn’t look fine. I wasn’t in the mood to argue though, so he slapped a few bandages on the cut and we headed out. At least he wasn’t actively bleeding anymore.Work crawled along like usual, especially considering it was a late shift. I hated doing the dinner rush and then getting some of the drunk idiots that came in late. I got off at one in the morning, and poor Mason was stuck sitting in a booth for eight hours doing absolutely nothing. Not that he complained. He ate dinner, and then he ate a second dinner a few hours later. I tried not to stare at him too much or spend too much time at his table, but it was hard. The anger had long since faded, and that anger was replaced with this gnawing need. Not to mention guilt. I hadn’t told him about the wedding getting moved up yet, because I was afraid of how he’d react.I didn’t want to hurt him. Actually, I didn’t know if I could hurt him. Sure, we were fucking, and
