Logan POV . . We dragged the werebear king and his council into the dungeon. His four wives and dancers were placed in one room together, a little bit better than where the werebear men were. "Guard the dungeon!" I tasked my ten chosen warriors, and they were all positioned outside of the metal door. Upon locking the giant chain, we heard growls from the inside. When Jackson peeked through the rectangular hole, I saw him smirk. "The a$$h*les shifted!" He uttered. "Hmp! They likely want to escape. Let's go!" I told Jackson and left my ten warriors there. Now, our next move was the room where the female werebears were. Upon opening the room next to the servants' room, we already heard seductive noises from the inside. These female werebears were trying to seduce our warriors. We also heard some growls from the werewolves and some slamming on the door. We hurried ourselves and were stunned when we opened the door. "What's going on here?" Beta Jackson asked the two werewolves
Logan POV . . I couldn't wait to go home and be with Jaque. We were exploring and checking the area when my eyes caught sight of the antique shop. It seemed that my feet had their own minds when they began stepping toward that old shop. Even Jackson followed through. "I have to buy something for Kelly. If not, she will demand me to come back here!" We both chuckled at his words. I remembered Jaque could have done the same thing. "Looks like we are both under their mercy, aren't we, my fiercest warrior?" I teased as I pushed the door open. "Tell me about it, my mighty king!" Jackson answered back, and we both shook our heads while smiling. We looked at the trinkets inside the glass, and my eyes saw what I had been looking for. "Hmm, do these bears fear us that they also abandoned their businesses?" Jackson reacted when we saw no one inside. He rang the bell twice, but no one was coming. "Perhaps they indeed abandoned this shop!" I told him and just broke the glass with
Logan POV . . "Can this plane get any faster?" Jackson slammed the door frame of the entrance door, startling some of the wolves sitting comfortably on their seats. I couldn't blame him. I also wanted to leave this flying metal and just summoned one of our witches to teleport us. However, for some unknown reasons, they all suddenly became unattended. I took a deep sigh, trying to formulate random reasons to fire back just in case my mate would go feral again, just like the last time. I still felt the pain in my shoulder every time I recalled her furious bites. "I promised myself that the last thing I would do was to make her upset again. How could that happen? Jackson, I thought you planned it well!" I was vexing my anger on my Beta, who was also at the edge of firing out. "Are you blaming me now, Logan?" His voice was loud, forgetting who he was speaking with. His eyes were also burning in both rage and anxiety. I got up and faced him. "Are you yelling at me, Beta?" I ask
Logan POV . . Upon landing, I almost broke the exit door with my bare hands. I couldn't wait to see Jaque. Kyle had called Draco, and he said that both the ladies and the children left the palace. Seriously, this had been Jaque's hobby when she was mad, and it was getting now on my nerves. "Any clue where those two go?" Jackson asked, leveling my strides. "D*mn it, Kelly. If something bad happens to you and our son, I'm going to put you in a cage!" He gritted his teeth as his jaw ticked. He was as furious as I was. "Did you call her brother? Maybe Beta Andrew has an idea!" I suddenly remembered. I glanced over my shoulder and noticed the Alpha mutt talking to someone on the phone... in secret. "Who is he speaking to?" I nodded as Jackson followed my gaze. "No idea. Let me find out!" He was about to approach the Alpha mutt, but I stopped him. "When it comes to him, let me do the talking!" I told Jackson, and he just bobbed his head. I strode toward the Alpha of Blood Moon
Serena POV . . I threw the glass of wine at the wall, shattering it into pieces. I had been hiding in this dilapidated house since goddess Alectrona signaled me to retreat. I wanted to end Jaque at that time, but her calling was way stronger than my urge. I had no idea what happened in their world that made her stop, but I was pretty sure it had something to do with Logan and his wolf. "That too!" I loudly spoke what was running at the back of my head, Tia came rushing along. I was gasping in fury when she saw me in this room. I couldn't even say that this was my room. I would never choose a rundown place to stay, not even for a day. "My lady, are you alright?" Tia asked, worried. She immediately crouched down to pick up the pieces of glass on the floor. Although she was an omega, goddess Alectrona had left a small amount of her power in her body, making her a little stronger than her fellow omegas. "Do I look like I am alright, Tia? I hate this!" I roared as I kicked th
Jackson POV . . At the palace... This was one good operation that needed an enormous vacuum. All the spies should be put in sealed bags and thrown away into the ocean. Would Princess Amira like such gifts, though? I bet she wouldn't. "Take them all to the plaza. Let the whole kingdom know of these traitors in our lands. Whip them until they bleed and slowly die!" I was fuming in anger. With the help of some of our warriors in every pack and in the Shadow Rock, we had caught over a hundred spies working for Serena. Werewolves and she-wolves of different ages and ranks. But... The one I was looking for was not here. I knew she had changed the moment King Logan left the kingdom for over a year. I was aware that she had had a crush on the king since she was brought here to the palace. She thought she could hide it, but there were countless times I saw her stealing a glance at the portrait of King Logan in the library and talking to it like it was real. "Beta Jackson!" T
Jaque POV . . I was watching Orora putting my son to sleep while Collen was petting his favorite leopard. I got to use to the present of different creatures in the house anymore. At first, it was a bit awkward seeing either a black bear or a leopard in the living room. But now, it felt like they were part of my little family. I left Shadow Rock for one reason. I ambled towards my siblings and kissed Kairen's forehead, who was now quietly sleeping. "Is the leopard staying here for tonight?" I asked Collen, who stopped petting his pet and shifted his gaze at me. "My babe is our guard tonight!" He smiled. "Why not rest now. Let Orora take care of Kairen, and I will see the surroundings!" He got up and was about to leave the back door when Orora stopped him. "Do the vampires lurk around?" She asked. "Yep!" Collen shortly answered. He strode to the back door and left. His leopard was left in the living room, along with some faes flying and humming. They surrounded my son wh
Jaque POV . . I was shocked! My eyes widened in disbelief. We were frozen by time. Serena's snap was suspended in the air while I was watching my brother perform his power. Both Serena and Shiva couldn't move, but they were both awake, and their minds were active. Collen raised his hands, spreading them in the air while he chanted something in language, only the creatures in the realm of the gods and goddesses could understand. Orora told me once that we had chants and spells, and their languages were different from those ordinary spells, even a high witch couldn't understand them. But now, Collen was using them to save me, and I had to admit that when his body glowed, he looked exactly like a god. Serena tried to move her fingers gradually while my brother stopped the time. Even the furniture was hanging in the air. The simple chandeliers had moved to the side, and then it froze. I had to do something. I had to fight and help Collen. Once Serena had snapped her fin
Adam POV . . I got up and fixed the hem of my sleeves while Camira helped Delmar get up. I was so furious that when he got the chance to stand steadily, I gave him a strong hit on the jaw, making Camira startle as he fell back to the floor. "Alpha Adam, what do you think you're doing?" She immediately stepped between us, shielding this impostor from me. He groaned, getting up for the second time. Still smirking at me while Camira faced my rage. "You can't pretend for d*mn too long, j@ck@ss!" I roared. "You are lucky, Camira is here. If not, I would have torn you into pieces!" I pointed at him, Camira snapping my hand. "That's enough!" She roared at me. "He doesn't fight you, okay? Whatever that is that makes you upset again!" I shifted my glare at Camira and mind-linked her. 'Believe that j@ck@ss all you want, but I am telling you!' I glanced back at him, who was now standing still while touching his jaw. 'He has a hidden agenda, and we are all in great danger if we do
Adam POV . . Just one ordinary day at the Council. I was busy flipping the pages of some documents Camira sent me this morning while browsing some of the reports on my laptop. I creased my brows when my eyes caught something. 'Camira!' I mind-linked our budget officer at once. 'To the office!' I gently uttered. Being the leader, you should be tough and aggressive. That was the teaching Amos planted to the staff here, but I was not Amos and would never be. I treated the staff here as my friends, at the same time putting a wall between us. Meaning, we should all know our positions. 'Yes, Alpha!' Camira responded. 'Shall I bring you something, Alpha?' She also asked. I could already smell her scent coming to my office. 'No! Just you!' I told her. I had my laptop, and the budget for next month's emergency funds for every pack was flashing on the screen monitor. 'Alpha, what's the matter?' She asked as she arrived at the door. I just nodded at her, signaling her to take the s
Adam POV . . "Witch Orora, can I come in?" Since last night, aside from that overwhelming feeling I shared with Amira, I felt something different. Something unexplainable. Something that only the witches could tell. When she just left this morning, I felt devastated, like I had lost something that was part of me. Like I had lost my heart and my soul. The door creaked open, and Orora's stern face welcomed my desperate look. "What is it, Alpha Adam?" Her tone was also nonchalant. Did something happen before I came here? "Alpha Adam, if you are just going to stare at me in front of my door, you can take a photo and leave!" I was nudged by her aggressive voice. "My bad. Can I come in? I need your help with this one. It is about Amira!" I heard her sigh and saw her roll her eyes before she opened the door wide and let me in. "Would you like some tea?" Her voice was still stoic but a little bit nicer this time. Also, yes, I was going to need a liquid to calm my nerves. "T
Orora POV . . Something was odd. I had been searching for that book in my library for hours but I couldn't find it. I had been floating in the air for hours and circling around these stacks of ancient books. I hadn't read that book for disguise in a long time, and now that I needed it, I couldn't find it. "Arrg! Orora, think! Come on!" I swayed my wand, and it formed a glitter in the air. That wand was a gift from the moon goddess itself. She told me to use it if something important needed to be fixed. For now, Amira's situation was THAT something very important. "Orora, we have a visitor!" One of my witches knocked on the door. "It is Princess Amira's mate, Delmar!" I immediately went down to the floor and stuck my wand on the side of my waistband while forming a fake smile. "Vina, stock them back. Hurry!" I told my witch, and she hurriedly used her power to put all the books back on the shelves while I went to the door. Delmar was indeed here, and he was waiting outside t
Amira POV . . "Delmar, I...I am just here. I won't leave!" I told him as I tapped his shoulder and tried to step back, but his hug was tight, and he was trying to catch my lips. "I miss you, my darling!" Before I could stop him, his lips had already sealed mine. However, the feelings were not the same. I felt my lips burning, and I was suffocating. I tried to suppress it, but the more I did, the more I felt I was drowning. Until I did my best to be released from his tight wrap. "Delmar, I am sorry. I just had a headache now. I drank too much last night!" I saw something in his eyes, but I couldn't put a name to it. He looked still upset and disappointed. "Alright! I will give you time to rest. I will come back this afternoon. No! Tomorrow! I will visit you tomorrow!" He said with a stern face. I was pretty sure he didn't like my reaction to the kiss he just did. "Okay, Delmar. See you tomorrow!" I just told him. When he left, I dropped myself to the floor. I felt weak
Amira POV . . How stupid I was. I let that happen. I slept with Alpha Adam last night. I was no longer drunk. I was sober. But I still did a tremendous act, betraying my mate. How stupid could I get? I scolded myself as I paced back and forth in my room. Ayesha still had no idea that I was already home. 'What will I do now? Did Delmar feel my betrayal? Did he feel my unfaithfulness?' I bit my thumb. A mannerism I had since I was a kid every time I was anxious or even scared. I shvt my eyes, trying to think whether to tell Delmar about it or not. However, instead of imagining Delmar's face, Adam's annoyingly good-looking feature last night flashbacked in my mind. The way he caressed me. The way he moaned my name. The way he claimed me. The way he called me his love. The way he stared at me dotingly. They all melted in my mind and stayed in my heart. 'Amira, you are mine and mine only!' I could still remember how he claimed me with possessiveness. It tickled my heart. It gav
Adam POV . . I willed Jasmine to come here. In the meantime, I had no idea where Jasmine's loyalty lay. Sometimes, she looked different. She was someone who could be trusted in small matters. Other times, she was confusing. Her personality had changed a lot since the time I stripped her of her title as the future Luna of the Blood Moon Pack. Jasmine obeyed at once when I told her what to do. She didn't say anything nor ask for any condition for her little sacrifice. She performed the task well. I knew that my nanny for years was scolding Amira in the dining room. With my wolf hearing, I could hear her clearly. A smile crept on my lips on how Myhesni protected and fought for me. She was indeed my mom outside of the womb. I knew that Jasmine heard them, too. I told Jasmine to bring my suit now, at three in the morning, which was very unusual for me. I commanded her to stay in my room for at least 30 minutes or less. When the time was up, I deliberately knocked the books on my
Amira POV . . He brought me to his villa. I had been here once before. I heard he had three omegas, serving him. One was taking care of his meals and groceries. One was cleaning his place and gardening. The last one was taking care of his clothes and some appointments or schedules. I glanced around, still familiarizing myself with the choice of colors he used. 'Not bad, but it's not his personality!' I murmured, uttering inwardly. He brought me here to speak about that bar incident. But he also let me wait for him in the living room. I ambled to the stairs, lifting my head on the second floor, where he went about thirty minutes ago. I took a deep sigh, counting the ticking of the clock on the wall. 'One, two, three!' It was now three in the morning, and here I was still awake and in another place. Ayesha, Demeter, and Orora were being taken care of by the two betas. I was about to go to the dining room when suddenly, the digital door lock produced a sound. Somebody was coming
Amira POV . . We were teleported by Orora in front of the Blood Moon Packhouse. I was still trying to escape from his grasp when he deliberately held my waist instead. "Try to run away, and you will see how I get angry, Princess Amira!" He whispered in my ear. I flinched when his lips touched my earlobe. I gradually turned my head to see his reaction. I bit my lower lip, controlling myself to punch that sneering face. "I still have an effect on you, haven't I?" "Hmm! Don't be cocky, Alpha Adam. A drunk man did the same thing to me at the bar, and my reaction was the~" "What did you say?" He cut me off with his loud roar. His hold on my waist was too tight, I had to tiptoe and place my hands on his chest. "What are you doing?" I roared back, ignoring the stares we earned from our friends. "Let me go!" "Ahm! I was just wondering if Delmar felt betrayed by this scene!" Demeter had no filter at all. "I can ask him tomorrow if you just let us pass!" This time, Beta Andre
