“I did expect you to catch on,” he stated, “This was sooner than I anticipated. You must be hungry. Wash up. I will bring the food up for you.”

To say Seraphine was baffled would be an understatement. She couldn’t believe how the man was acting as if this was a casual matter, holding on importance. If she could, she truly would have delivered a punch to his face for treating her this way.

“Is that all? You’re not even going to apologize to me. Heck! Even if you do that, I am not going to buy it. You’re not even being sincere in the first place,” Seraphine expressed, “I must have looked like a fool in your eyes.”

The man remained silent, and unable to bear it, she thought of the way to hurt him the most— physically. Knowing a hit from her would barely affect him, she moved closer to him and bit into his shoulder, hoping this would cause him pain.
