Reconciled With Zane

Rita’s POV

That very day when I got home, I engaged myself in some random stuff that wouldn't make me think about Finn. I cooked, ate, rested enough and tried to while away time.

It suddenly drew on me that I was missing someone, Zane! He hasn't reached out to me yet!

I dialed his number right away. At that moment, I badly wanted his companion.

On the second ring, he finally picked up his call.

“Hello babe, I am back from work” I announced, speaking into the phone.

“Ugh! Why does it sound like it’s been a long long time since we heard each other’s voice?” He said.

“You are right, it’s been a while since we had a heart to heart communication. My bad!” I tried to apologise but I heard him chuckle. Nowadays, he seemed to care less about my uncommitted attitude towards him.

As if he was suspicious that I was cheating on him, now he’s probably no longer interested in the relationship or perhaps, he’s just used to my uncommitted behavior. I don't know but the feeling of guilt welled
