I was strolling down at the gardens when I noticed a pair dark eyes from the shrubbery that separated a forest and ATI staring at me.
Cold washed down my spine as I recalled Cirdan's warning of that morning about always carrying a friend with me when I walk through unfamiliar grounds. He seemed not forget that I have only one friend that I would not monopolize his time. I was not that selfish.
And from all that I have experienced in faery, I was willing to bet that whatever those are, they will not be friendly towards me. I was trying to act as calmly as possible while I still went about, this time trying to act like I was more interested at what was being seen at the side closer to ATI. I couldn’t very well turn back and start heading back to the gate which I came from, that would be a dead giveaway to whoever that owns that pair of eyes that I was running and then it would give chase.
IRISThe wolf was whining and panting close to me, no longer attacking but it was taking a while to convince myself that I was not yet dying.“I think she is in shock brother.” A voice filled with amusement stated.“You would be too if you were attacked by a wolf. What is a wild one doing close to ATI in the first place?” The same voice complained even though it seemed like it came from another angle.“You don’t think that…” The voice started but paused.“Cub, you are okay, open your eyes.” Someone bent in front of me.“Or you can keep them shut and imagine me naked.” The same voice said amused.A sigh came from above me. “I really don’t know how people tend to think that we are identical.”
IrisWe were once more ensconced in the principal office and for someone who doesn’t get into trouble, I was even amazed at my record of ending up in this office.I was even on a friendly first name basis with his secretary.“Ah, Vine and Vane, it is nice to meet you.” Principal Freddy according to my mother said, beaming at the twins who had kept their expression serious since they learned that I was mated. “I love the new restructuring of power trips which you father has introduced to the wolf pack and the shifter race in general. It is pure intelligence.” Apparently, I am not the only teenager which he holds in high esteem because of our parents. One of the twins nodded his head in acknowledgment still keeping his serious expression which was making it difficult for me to know which was which. Principal Freddy and Cirdan don’t seem to be having
I was invited by Finn to watch a dueling match between members of different races, according to Finn, it was the best way for me to understand the parts of other races that were not written in books and to get the real them, I needed to see them when all their inhibitions were low and I could see them in their primal levels.I agreed with Finn but what I failed to ask for was for him to get someone to escort me, since I forgot that, I had to go all on my own and this I did lowly, hoping not to run into anybody else other than my mate and best friend, the only two males I was still comfortable with even though they were not comfortable with each other. They were slowly learning for my sake though.I mean it wouldn’t be so hard since they were aware that I was going to watch the crudely set up fights and so would be on their way to meet up with me.“I smell a little
IRISCirdan has been sulking since I told him that I could not be his date to the ballroom party. I had agreed to be Vine and Vane’s date when I sat close to them at the bonfire and I couldn’t very well go with Cirdan, that would be enough to put us under the spotlight and it would not be very long with people poking around before they discover that he is my mate. He knows this but it still doesn’t prevent him from sulking.“Cirdan, give it a rest, you know this is for the best, or would you prefer I go with Finn?” I asked my mate would was acting like a child of two and just as I suspected that he would react, his face pulled into a frown and I couldn’t help but smile at his reaction.“Don’t even joke on that?” He snapped and my smile ran free, he really acted cute when he was jealous.“And here I would think that yo
Terms used for Faery schools is the most annoying ever. They said prepare for midterm tests and that was what I did.“You should stop frowning.” Vine stated as Vane and Finn chuckled at my expression.“Finn, you are my subject, I can order you to eat dust if you keep this up.” I replied in a syrupy tone that made Finn chuckles turn to full blown laughter.“You shouldn’t be angry, in our defense, it is what we are used to, you are the strange one here.” Vine replied and in return I narrowed my eyes at him.“What do you mean ‘our’?”“Oh, he is laughing on the inside.” Vane voice was filled with laughter and that was when I looked into his aura and saw that Vane was right about his brother. Vine was truly laughing at me.“Vine, you are supposed to be
“For someone who doesn’t make trouble, we do get called to school a lot.” My father said, taking a seat beside me as I waited outside the principal office for my parents’ arrival.“Hello father.” I greeted, barely glancing up to my father’s face but I could feel his frown at my reaction.“Somehow, I am looking forward to the day where I am called to this place because my daughter broke rules.” My mother stated and then paused when she saw that I did not even bother to give her a reply.“This is serious for her to not smart off at me.” Nambra, my mother stated.“What is wrong?” My father asked me but before I could reply, the door of the principal office opened up and the head of the panel stepped out. Mt parents tensed beside me.“I believe
CirdanSomething was wrong, Iris did not come out from the tests for a very long time and when the door opened again it was a teacher running out. I was already going insane, it took me thirty minutes afterwards to get something out of the panel. Iris test was something different, she broke through their powers. That has never happened before, not even me who was a step above her could do so. What the hell was happening?“You need to calm down, you pacing around is giving me a headache, even worst that when Orion chases his tail.” Vane complained.I paused to address him. “Nope, it is not total strange that you name a feral wolf Orion and he is your pet, not strange at all.”Vane grinned at me. “Thanks.” Then he buried his elbow in his brother side. “I told you that my actions were normal.”
FinnWhatever Cirdan was called for, must not have gone the way the queen wanted it to go because she called for me. She knew it was risky for two of us to meet, she made sure she never had such a reason before but for her to call it means something serious.Wearing my gift from the queen which made me invisible in every aspect but one, and it was one rarely used, I took the quiet hallways to leave the school so I can meet up with the queen at the area she had chosen.Even as I walked, my conscience pricked me, I was betraying a friend of mine. Although being Iris friend started out as a job, the queen reaching out to inform me of what she wanted from me even before Iris stepped a foot into Faery. I had discovered that she was quirky and a very good friend to have, funny even I don’t remember the last time I ever laughed the way I did with her and the fact that she included two other people into our clo
