IRIS
Cirdan has been sulking since I told him that I could not be his date to the ballroom party. I had agreed to be Vine and Vane’s date when I sat close to them at the bonfire and I couldn’t very well go with Cirdan, that would be enough to put us under the spotlight and it would not be very long with people poking around before they discover that he is my mate. He knows this but it still doesn’t prevent him from sulking.
“Cirdan, give it a rest, you know this is for the best, or would you prefer I go with Finn?” I asked my mate would was acting like a child of two and just as I suspected that he would react, his face pulled into a frown and I couldn’t help but smile at his reaction.
“Don’t even joke on that?” He snapped and my smile ran free, he really acted cute when he was jealous.
“And here I would think that yo
Terms used for Faery schools is the most annoying ever. They said prepare for midterm tests and that was what I did.“You should stop frowning.” Vine stated as Vane and Finn chuckled at my expression.“Finn, you are my subject, I can order you to eat dust if you keep this up.” I replied in a syrupy tone that made Finn chuckles turn to full blown laughter.“You shouldn’t be angry, in our defense, it is what we are used to, you are the strange one here.” Vine replied and in return I narrowed my eyes at him.“What do you mean ‘our’?”“Oh, he is laughing on the inside.” Vane voice was filled with laughter and that was when I looked into his aura and saw that Vane was right about his brother. Vine was truly laughing at me.“Vine, you are supposed to be
“For someone who doesn’t make trouble, we do get called to school a lot.” My father said, taking a seat beside me as I waited outside the principal office for my parents’ arrival.“Hello father.” I greeted, barely glancing up to my father’s face but I could feel his frown at my reaction.“Somehow, I am looking forward to the day where I am called to this place because my daughter broke rules.” My mother stated and then paused when she saw that I did not even bother to give her a reply.“This is serious for her to not smart off at me.” Nambra, my mother stated.“What is wrong?” My father asked me but before I could reply, the door of the principal office opened up and the head of the panel stepped out. Mt parents tensed beside me.“I believe
CirdanSomething was wrong, Iris did not come out from the tests for a very long time and when the door opened again it was a teacher running out. I was already going insane, it took me thirty minutes afterwards to get something out of the panel. Iris test was something different, she broke through their powers. That has never happened before, not even me who was a step above her could do so. What the hell was happening?“You need to calm down, you pacing around is giving me a headache, even worst that when Orion chases his tail.” Vane complained.I paused to address him. “Nope, it is not total strange that you name a feral wolf Orion and he is your pet, not strange at all.”Vane grinned at me. “Thanks.” Then he buried his elbow in his brother side. “I told you that my actions were normal.”
FinnWhatever Cirdan was called for, must not have gone the way the queen wanted it to go because she called for me. She knew it was risky for two of us to meet, she made sure she never had such a reason before but for her to call it means something serious.Wearing my gift from the queen which made me invisible in every aspect but one, and it was one rarely used, I took the quiet hallways to leave the school so I can meet up with the queen at the area she had chosen.Even as I walked, my conscience pricked me, I was betraying a friend of mine. Although being Iris friend started out as a job, the queen reaching out to inform me of what she wanted from me even before Iris stepped a foot into Faery. I had discovered that she was quirky and a very good friend to have, funny even I don’t remember the last time I ever laughed the way I did with her and the fact that she included two other people into our clo
IrisFinn has been distant for some time now, not his annoyance kind of distance thankfully but a lot on his mind kind of distant.I watched Finn with Vane and Vine as he dropped his tray in the bin and left the cafeteria without taking a bit of his food.“This is alarming to watch.” Vane commented.“And painful too.” Vine added.“Did he lose his mate or something?” They both asked at the same time as they turned to face me.“What did I tell you both about acting creepy?” I glowered at them. Stabbing my food with the spoon in my hand.Vane blinked those baby blue eyes of his at me innocently.“Dare it and ask, who us?” I cuts in when he opened his mouth with a finger already pointed at himself.
IrisI was not going to escape them. My thoughts moved around, I was panicking and although it was not full blown yet, it was going to be very soon. My mind races as I watched the men approached me where I was huddled together with other women.“She thinks she can hide.” The male who seemed like the leader spoke with laughter.Another member of his gang took in a deep breathe close to my hair even as I shrank away from him. “She smells of ATI from afar, polished and pompous. The queen raised her replica.”I found my voice through my fear and unclogged my tongue from the roof of my mouth where it was. “My mother did not raise me, my father did. The king of the folks.”“And the brat just had to talk.” The men laughed between themselves as if my information about who my father was is a joke to them. “Yes silly g
CirdanWhen Finn rushed into school to say Iris was missing, I was already feeling something was off with the bond, the principal calmed him down and contacted her parents who came to school as quickly as they could and then Finn took us and a considerable amount of guards to the last place she was seen. For the next six hours, it was hell as I wondered where my mate was and what dangers has befallen her and I had a right to wonder too. When the bond opened, I could feel her terrified, so scared that my hands shook, all efforts I made to try and calm her through our bond yielded no results and just like the last time when she was attacked by a feral wolf, I used the bond to trace her location. Finn was with me and we both arrived at the deserted warehouse in the wild fae lands at the same time. He used some sort of spell of his, to get us through the walls after reassuring me that he had talked to the king and queen and their guards, a
IrisI felt rather than saw Cirdan gearing to counter my words, I could feel his emotions more clearly than before and when I said Finn would teach me, I saw that those words hurt him. That my choice had hurt him but this was not about him right now, this was about me so he needed to back off.“Iris.” Cirdan called.“Really Cirdan, you want to use that tone with me, like you are the one hurt?” I rolled my eyes while saying the words but when Cirdan flinched I felt bad. It was okay seeing my parents feel that way, I wanted to hurt them a little bit because somehow my mind blamed my little expedition and later capture on them, like it would not have happened if they hadn’t tried to keep me in this place as a prisoner with no rights of leaving. But Cirdan did not deserve to be hurt, his only fault is that he made the decision I chose. Not to use my power.
