Chapter 119

Martin arrived at his house, only to be met with a devastating sight that took his breath away. The once magnificent mansion now lay in ruins, reduced to scattered debris and ashes. Smoke billowed out from corners, indicating that a fire had ravaged the house. But Martin couldn't fathom how it had come to collapse. Had it exploded?

Approaching a group of firefighters working diligently at the scene, Martin inquired about the cause of this unfortunate incident.

One of the men paused in his work and turned towards Martin.

"Well," he began, pausing to gather his thoughts, "it appears to be a gas explosion. However, we have reason to believe that someone intentionally set fire to the house as well. The boy's quarter and the two cars that were here also caught fire, leading us to suspect the use of petrol as an accelerant."

A surge of anger coursed through Martin's veins, his fist involuntarily clenching. Betrayal was one thing, but to go to such extreme lengths as to blow up his house
