No One Knows Him Better Than I Do

Anna stormed back into her room, her legs immediately taking her to the bathroom. She stopped in her tracks at the sight that greeted her in the mirror. “Ugh! For goodness sake, Anna. When will you remember to wash your face before leaving the room?” She facepalmed herself.

Now, Caspian had seen her looking like she just stepped out of a horror movie. Her makeup was smeared all over her face. Sighing, she splashed water on her face, scrubbed the remnants of her makeup cup with soap, and brushed her teeth.

Once transformed, she puffed out a thick exasperated sigh before making her way out of the bathroom and the room. Slowly, she walked back into the kitchen, her eyes meeting with Caspian who was arranging breakfast on the table.

“Good morning,” she greeted, striding to the table where their meal was laid.

“Have a good night's rest?”

“I did. Thanks for your concern.”

“Sit down then.” She forced a smile as he dragged out a chair for her and only left behind her after she was seated.
