Let Me Kiss You

The previous conversation about the meal had for long been forgotten like it was never there. Anna’s focus was solely on the man before her.

“We’ll share mine. For the night!”

Anna flinched at the thought of sharing a bed with him. Fuck, they had been sleeping in the same bed for the past days but this time, it was different. He was asking her to be in his room for the first time. She felt shivers run down her spine as Caspian sniffled her skin, pushing his nose into the ridge of her neck and sniffing as much as he could with his eyes closed.

“Bu…but why? Mother is gone.”

“The room is a mess. She changed a few things when she was around. And, your sickness could come back at any time. I should look after you.”

“You sure this is the only reason?”

“Or perhaps…” he lowered his head further, drawing in a deep breath at the base of her neck. “Perhaps I just want you next to me on the bed?”

“We’ve been sharing a room for days.”

“And we can, one more time.” It wasn’t what he wanted to say.
