Your Irresistible

It's been a few weeks since Tippa saw the handsome young man who was so kind but yet should be avoided at all costs. The two brief encounters implanted in her interest, and she secretly hoped to see him again. She never forgot his name and that gorgeous smile. Every few days, Tippa would repeat his name in her mind “Ross.” Just in case she ran into him again, she wanted to say it like she was familiar with him.

But she had no intentions of going any further than that. It took her forever to find this good-paying job, and she wasn’t about to lose it over some guy. So, if she ran into Ross, she knew she was going to be polite like everyone else, and that’s it.

Tippa was supposed to have the weekend off, she had planned to move into her new apartment this Saturday. She got up early so she could fix her hair and makeup to her liking. Even though it was cool outside, she wanted to style her hair in a way that would be convenient. When she thought about how hot it could get when you're busy moving boxes and stuff, she wanted to be comfortable.

She knew it was best to wear her hair up off her neck. So, this morning, after conditioning and moisturizing her curly locks, Tippa decided to wear her hair in a cute, high-curly pom-pom, with a few strands of curls hanging around her face and on her neck.

Tippa wore dark purple skinny jeans, a purple and white fitted sweater, a matching purple shawl around her neck, and her black combat boots.

Looking in the mirror, she was pleased with her appearance. When she got ready to walk out the door her phone rang.

“Good morning, Tippa; this is Ms. Lauren. Sorry to call you at such short notice, but can you come to work this morning? One of the ladies called out sick and I need your help.”

“Uhm, this was my day to move into my new apartment. But I can spare about a half day.”

“Great! I’ll make it worth your while. Thanks! You are a lifesaver!”

“No problem, see you shortly,” Tippa says, calling her new landlord to change the time of her move-in. When she arrived at work everyone that was working that morning met with Ms. Lauren.

Ms. Lauren says, “Ladies, this morning we have about 12 classrooms to clean. From my understanding, we want to work for only four hours, so once you are done, you are free to leave.”

Tippa cleaned five of the 12 rooms. She was one of the quickest and most efficient porters Ms. Lauren had on her staff. Tippa went to punch out of work and headed to the task of moving into her new place.

She cleaned the last room she had and headed to the restroom. Tippa hears someone in the corridor behind her trying to get her attention as she walks toward the restroom. “Psst......Psst......” She looks around, and it’s Ross standing there.

She stops in her tracks and smiles slightly, not wanting to show that she is totally elated and shocked about him being there.

“Hi,” he said, looking shyly at her as he whispered. He was a gorgeous man with features, unlike her own and skin that was smooth like porcelain. When his full lips widened into a smile, she experienced a strange flutter in her chest. Her eyes flicked up to his neatly tapered hair on the sides and back, with full, dark, straight hair on top, which gave him a clean but sexy look.

He removed his shades, revealing devilishly sexy eyes framed by long lashes that threatened to steal her heart.

“Are you finished working?” He asked as he walked toward her with a hypnotic swagger.

“Yes... I am. I’m about to go to the restroom first and then I’ll be heading home. Have you been waiting out here for me?” she asked, looking down at the time on her cell phone. She knew it took her about 30 minutes to an hour to clean and mop a room.

He replied, bashfully sliding his eyes away from hers and then casting them down at her again. “Yes…”

Tippa couldn't believe it. The guy left her speechless and then put her in a trance.

“Uhm....I wanted to know what time you get off from work today. Do you catch the subway home?

“Well, the time varies, but I’m leaving work right now, and yes, I do catch the subway,” she said with wonderment on her face.

“I would like to walk you to the subway if you don't mind.”

She looked intently at him as he spoke, smiling softly. “That’s nice of you, but you don't have to do that. Thank you anyway.”

Ross gazed at Tippa, fully letting his eyes take in her prettiness as he said, “I love the way we bump into each other, but I figured if we want to get better acquainted with each other, it’s going to require more than these brief moments. Don't you think?” he said, looking at her sincerely. “It’s just a walk.”

“Uhm,”

“Come on, it’s just a walk.”

Tippa reluctantly agreed, softly smiling up at him.

Tippa couldn't resist the offer. She wanted to get to know him, too, and was so ecstatic he made the effort to find a way for them to talk. She reasoned it was a simple walk, and she wasn’t on the clock. So, they began walking, he said.

“So, you are not from here, are you?”

“No, how can you tell? Is it my accent?”

“Well, your accent is a dead give-away, as are your style and appearance. You look soft and pretty.”

“Thank you. So, you are in medical school.”

“Yes, my last year. Do you live around here?”

“I will; I was staying with my aunt and uncle, but I’m moving to my own place today.”

“Would you like some help?”

“Oh, I don’t want to intrude on your weekend.”

“No intrusion. I want to help and welcome you to New York?”

“Okay, since you put it that way, an extra hand would be nice.”

Tippa smiled and thought to herself. Really smooth Mr. Ross. She could feel the danger coming from him, but not the kind of danger that would make a girl feel frightened. But he gave off a hint of 'I'm  some what a bad boy.' It's the kind of danger a girl can't resist.
