Tamara smiled at James. “Aren’t you overreacting? It’s just a wedding dress. We’re here to see if it fits. Since it looks good on Vanessa and fits her like a glove, I will have no problem putting it on later too.”

James observed Tamara. Her smile seemed sincere enough.

But James knew better than that. Tamara just didn’t want to put on a wedding dress for James.

James narrowed his eyes. After a moment of silence, the corners of his lips twitched, and the dark look he had on before disappeared without a trace. “You’re right. So? Do you like the dress?”

Tamara stared at the wedding dress. “Hmm. Not bad.”

“Then it’s settled. You’ll be wearing this during our wedding,” smiled James faintly.

Tamara nodded, “Sure.”

She then turned to Vanessa. “You can take it off now. Sorry for the trouble.”

Vanessa gave an awkward smile. Although James was smiling, Vanessa could feel the brutal chill behind it.

Vanessa rushed to take off the dress and change into her clothes.
