Vanessa shook her head violently. She looked up at James through her tearful eyes, begging for his mercy.

Yet James seemed to be pleased with his decision. He kept his knife and nodded, “It’s settled then. Oh! By the way, you have better behaved yourself, Vannesa. If you don’t, your parents might end up in the same predicament as you.”

Vanessa’s tearful gaze changed into one of hatred. She glared daggers at the monster, but her glare meant nothing to him.
