Joanne could see the icy look Tamara was giving her. She brushed it off and giggled, “It’s been a while, Young Mrs. Lynch!”

It had indeed been a while. Tamara would have rained hell on Joanne if she hadn’t escaped.

Tamara gave a small smile before giving Ms. Thompson a look. Ms. Thompson caught on and spoke up on Tamara’s behalf, “Indeed, Ms. Bishoy. You left so soon. It was as if you were escaping out of guilt.”

Joanne’s smile froze when she heard that. She gave Tamara an annoyed look. “You are pregnant, Young Mrs. Lynch. It’s best not to dwell on the past. Your children might suffer with you.”

Tamara stared at her coldly. Before she could sign her response, Yareli butted in, “Tamara, Ms. Bishoy is a guest. Is this how you should treat her?”

Just then, a maid had brought in some drinks.
