Tamara felt restless and lost her appetite. She didn’t want to return to her room and decided to wait in the living room. She would pace around and glance at the door from time to time.

Ms. Thompson couldn’t help but laugh in amusement at Tamara’s actions. “You don’t need to be so anxious, Young Mrs. Lynch. It’s normal for Young Mr. Lynch to be home late from work. Sometimes, he wouldn’t come home at all.”

Tamara turned to Ms. Thompson. “But ever since we got married, he had never stayed out late. This is the first time.”
