The next day, when Margot emerged from her room, she noticed that Benjamin had also just exited his. She smiled. "Good morning, Mr. Inkling."

Benjamin gazed deeply at her. He walked over and clasped the back of her head, kissing her hard.

Margot was pushed up against the wall by him. She panted from the kisses. "What's wrong?"

Benjamin's lips rubbed against hers, his voice hoarse. "Weren't you scared last night?"

Margot bit back a laugh. "No. I could survive living alone in an orphanage. What's there to be afraid of here?"

Her fingers clutched his clothes, and she stared up at him. "What's wrong? Were you expecting me to get scared and crawl into your bed in the middle of the night?"

She dragged out her last few words, teasing him.

Benjamin's breath hitched, and he cleared his throat. "Are you hungry?"

Margot burst into laughter. Why was he so easily provoked? He couldn't even handle a couple of teases.

She needed to train him.
