Chapter 1557 Poor Thing

As the engine's sound faded behind her, Margot turned her head for a glance. After making sure the Ferrari was nowhere in sight, her legs gave out, and she slumped to the ground.

Margot swore silently, "Holy shit!"

She couldn't hold on any longer.

Even though she had taken a car ride home, she still hadn't recovered. Her legs felt weak, as if they weren't her own.

Margot massaged her legs, trying to relax her muscles. She waited for her legs to regain their strength.

This was an old apartment complex. It was populated by elderly residents. An old man noticed her sitting on the ground and asked, "What's wrong, young lady?"

Margot smiled at the old man. "You don't need to worry about me. I'm fine. I'll get up in a moment."

The old man nodded and let her be.

It was afternoon, and the sun was warm and pleasant. If it weren't for the fact that this was the apartment complex's entrance, she might have already lain down.
