Simon scoffed, "I'm the one who has the last say in that!"

Camilla knitted her brows, lowered her phone, about to hang up.

"I'm downstairs," Simon's voice sounded from the phone again. This time, his voice lacked its usual languid and irritated tone. It was raspy and sounded rather constrained.

Camilla felt her heart skip a beat. "Why are you here? What are you trying to do, Simon?"

Simon laughed. "Why, I suddenly realize that the way you call my name is simply delightful."

The frown on Camilla's face deepened.

"Come here. Otherwise, I'll go upstairs." Simon hung up the moment he finished his sentence.

Camilla was dumbstruck. The look on her face was far from pleasant. She could not understand why Simon had come to see her. Didn't he already leave? However, it was late, and she did not want things to escalate. She changed and went downstairs to meet him.
