Chapter 12 – Festival I wiggled into my wood nymph costume, it was a layered dress with brown and green chiffon. It had leaves, bark, vines and twigs elaborately sewn into it. The headdress was beautiful and would hide my hair perfectly. It had vines and twigs intertwined in it and had a train that draped down my back. I rubbed brown and glittery green body paint on the exposed parts of my arms and legs, before I did the same to my neck and face. Once it was dry, I slipped the beautifully embellished masquerade mask over my eyes. The costume was sexy and fun, had I been wearing it for any other occasion I would have enjoyed it. I grabbed my waterproof lighter and slipped it into my bra. My cellphone, money, keys and another lighter went into a small brown pouch purse. I hung the purse over my neck and shoulder, and it blended well with my costume. I knocked on Rocky’s door and she opened it, the Medusa costume on her was fantastic. Leo was sitting in his satyr cost
Chapter 13 – Escape “I’ve been waiting to get you alone and now you just stumble right into the wolf ’s den. What luck!” Eros smiled at me. “Why have you been looking for me, Eros?” “Oh Raven, little Raven.” He sucked his teeth. “Seeing you in this sexy little costume would make even the God Pan chase after this tempting wood nymph.” He said as he lifted my mask from my face. “What do you want from me?” I demanded. He grabbed me harder around the waist and dragged me into his office. He threw me into an armchair, placed one hand on each side and leaned his crooked nose inches away from mine. “Tell me, why are my men disappearing when they get close enough to you?” He asked. “I have no idea what you’re talking about.” I snapped back. “I’ve sent some of my best warriors after you and most don’t come back.” He stared intently at me. This must have been what Niko was talking about. “Those were your best? They couldn’t tell the difference between a human and wolf. They picked up
Chapter 14 – Beast We dismounted the motorcycle and Niko turned to me, “It’s okay, you’re safe now.” “Where are we?” “We’re at my pack house.” He answered. “I think you’ll like it here.” “Does your Alpha know I’m with you?” I asked. “Oh yeah.” He smiled wide. “Listen Raven, he could be a bit grumpy at first, but I know he will warm up to you.” Niko grinned. “I bet! I’m sure grumpy Alpha will appreciate a sassy, opinionated, female Alpha with a knack for getting into trouble.” I groaned and rolled my eyes. “He will love you.” Niko laughed and led the way. We walked up the stairs and entered the double doors of this stunning house. The dark wooden floors were a beautiful contrast to the light colored walls and decor. There was a double grand staircase with the same dark colored wood used for the railings. The chandelier was a gorgeous crystal and tied everything together. “The Alpha is in his office waiting for us.” Niko told me. I nodded my head and walked with him down a
Dimitri’s POV Chapter 15 – Trouble “SHE DID WHAT?” I yelled at my Gamma Alec who was supposed to be watching Raven from the roof tops of the Plaka while she was at the festival. We had suspected that she would be out again with her friends, getting herself into trouble. She certainly has a gift for finding trouble. The buyers for the humans would be arriving today and we wanted to make sure they were dead before they could leave with the girls. Then we would pick the girls up and release them. If we can hurt his business, by hurting his clients, we would be able to draw him out in the open and finally send him to hell. Weeks of planning and it was all going to go to hell because of one little bird. She had broken into the building and would probably be captured by that bastard. I called Niko. “Yeah boss?” He answered. “She went into the building, get her out.” I ordered. “Fuck! The buyers and their guns just went into that building too.” He said and disconnected. I knew my
Chapter 16 – Him“YOU WILL NOT PUT ME IN A CAGE LIKE SOME WILDANIMAL!” I yelled at this Alpha jerk.My eyes still closed because they had dirt in them. I desperately wanted to wash my face and rinse my eyes out. I could feel him standing inches away from me and I couldn’t help but thinkabout his naked body.“Look at you.” He said and gently tucked a strand of hair behind my ear. “You’re a wild animal.” He said. Tingles shot down myspine at the sound of his voice. I was fighting an urge from deep down inside of me to lean into him and make contact.I heard footsteps approaching and I was hoping it was Niko, but I could actually smell the she wolf. “Here you go Alpha.” Shesaid.“Thank you.” He replied to her. He was being nice to whoever the strawberry sorbet smelling female was and I felt a pang of jealousy.“I can’t open my eyes; I need to rinse them.” I said.“You’ll have to wait until we get back. Now raise your arms up.” He said and I felt a shirt being pulled over my head, so
Chapter 17 – RealizationHis lips crashed onto mine and the electricity exploded in my core. My hands reached for his face and I wanted more. Histongue traced my lips and a moan escaped me. Seizing theopportunity, his tongue made its way through my slightly parted lips to my tongue. I welcomed the invasion and kissed back. He deepened the kiss and I could feel his hunger for me. His bigstrong hand was suddenly cradling the back of my head. His kiss was so delicious, my inexperienced mouth craved more even as I struggled for air. My toes curled and my heart wasracing. I had only ever kissed one boy before, and that was Zach. Dimitri was no boy; he was a man with years ofexperience ahead of me. I suddenly felt so insecure, so little and inexperienced.Feeling my hesitation, Dimitri pulled back and studied my face.He was several years older than me, an established Alpha. Heprobably has a girlfriend, several lovers, in fact, he was going to Odessa’s room tonight. I felt vulnerable
Chapter 18 – DesireI was wearing a pretty cream colored dress that Odessa hadloaned me, all eyes seemed to be on me. Most faces were warm and friendly, some were curious. Whispers from the other tables buzzed as speculation about me continued to grow.I sat quietly at the breakfast table between Dimitri and Niko. Dimitri kept stealing sideway glances at me and his chair was inching closer and closer to me. I could feel his aura and the need to be closer to him was burning in my chest, like a pull.Niko and Alec were smiling at each other, their eyes were glazed over, I had a feeling they were mind linking. Elaina and thekitchen staff had prepared a big spread with sfougato, which is like a big Greek breakfast frittata. There was also, sausages, oatmeal, yogurt with honey, different breakfast breads and fresh fruit.“So Raven, how did you sleep last night?” Niko asked with a big suggestive grin on his face and Alec burst out laughing.“Fine, thank you.” My response was short.“I don
Chapter 19 – HistoryMy phone was ringing again. “It’s a video call from my cousin Clair.” I said and sat on Dimitri’s bed ready to answer.“Hello Clair.” I smiled and waved into the camera. Clair is my Aunt Payton’s daughter; she had the same LaRue bright blueeyes and black hair, as I did. We were often mistaken for sisters and had actually grown up in the castle together like siblings.“Hey, what’s going on? How’s the Dionysus festival going?” She eagerly asked.“It’s been very interesting.” I laughed. “How’s everyone doing?” “My parents are visiting Uncle Ranger. Your parents are in thecity for a few days on business. Zach and Sydney are still on their honeymoon in Australia. Helga just made an amazingcheesecake, nothing too exciting.”“How are the boys?” I asked and Dimitri stood tense hearing me ask about boys. Guess I forgot to mention that the boys are my brothers.“They’re great, Peter found his mate at Dark Moon pack. Hername is Mandi, she’s Gamma Blake’s daughter, which
Seven years laterEpilogue“MOM! Uncle Niko ate the rest of my moussaka!” Kyros pouted.“Uncle Niko has a habit of doing that. He doesn't like perfectly good moussaka to go to waste.” I laughed.“Are you going to finish yours or should I take care of that for you too?” Niko asked me.“Touch my plate and you might lose a few fingers.” I growled and shoveled the rest of the food in my mouth.Dimitri chuckled and kissed me on the side of my head. “Don't mess with a pregnant woman's food Niko, you shouldknow better by now after three pups of your own.”Kyros was our oldest, Damien followed two years later, they both looked just like Dimitri. Our twin daughters Alice and Anabeth, looked just like me with the strong LaRue familygenes. I was currently expecting pup number five in about two more weeks.“How's baby Lukas doing?” Clair asked me.“He's kicking a lot, hopefully he won't try to break out beforeLevi's mating ceremony this weekend.” I told her. We had found out the gender of the
Chapter 42 – News“Wake up little bird, the plane just landed.” Dimitri stroked my back to wake me up. I had fallen asleep in his lap on our flight from Greece to Canada. My father had sent the LaRue Enterprises jet for us. We have two mating ceremonies to attend this week. Knox and Rocky's ceremony is tomorrow. Then we will travel to Dark Moon for Peter and Mandi's ceremony. I was excited to show Dimitriwhere I had grown up, have some Chinese food in the village, show him Crescent Point. I’ve also missed my younger brothers and couldn’t wait to see them. It’s been two weeks since Dimitri and I found out about the pup.We haven't told anyone and wanted to do it when we were alltogether. My parents had returned back to Crescent Moon withKnox and Rocky last week to get ready for the mating ceremony. They would officially become Alpha and Luna of Crescent Moon after the ceremony. My parents plan to travel back and forth between packs; but willspend the majority of their time in Greec
Dimitri's POVChapter 41 – Finally“Relax, I just want to meet your little Raven.” He said with a sick smile.“He knows about mate.” Dom growled at me.“We need to make sure and end him this time.” I told Dom.He turned his head to the bird’s nest. “What a suitable place for a raven, in the bird’s nest! Tell me son, is the bird’s nest bullet proof? I can't seem to remember if we made it bullet proof when we built it.”I mind linked Spiro, “tell me you had the chance to line the bird’s nest with another layer of steel?”“I did Alpha, but they won't be shooting regular bullets. We've never tested it against silver bullets!” Spiro linked back.“You have ten seconds to surrender the pack to its rightful Alpha before we turn the bird’s nest into Swiss cheese!” My fatherdemanded.I was about to unleash Dom and lunge at him when an earthshaking growl, with intense power, ripped across the land andshocked everyone. Greeks were taught from a young age to fear and respect the power of the Go
Chapter 40 – Attack“Be a good little bird and stay in the nest. Don't come out for any reason, understand?” Dimitri told me.“Okay.”“Keep the door locked from the inside. Don't open it for anyone. If you set one foot out this door, before I come back for you, I'm going to spank your bottom red!” He crashed his lips into mine. His kiss was hungry, demanding, and filled with emotion. The promise of another spanking sent an exciting quiver down my back. I couldn’t wait until this was over to spend time tangled up with him.“Please be careful.” I whispered as we broke away.“I'll be back as soon as this is over.” He said and closed the door to the nest.I was standing inside of a closet sized metal box, that wasperched on top of the roof of the pack house and looked out over the pack lands. The fire pits were burning bright, if someonedidn't know any better, they would just assume the fire pits were there to light up the grounds for battle.“Let's test the reach of our element.” Rae s
Chapter 39 – RaceThe sun was setting as we raced back in the Jeep to our territory.Dimitri was at the wheel and his eyes kept glancing in themirror at the occupants in the back seat. Odessa was seated in the back, between Alec and Hades. The tension in the car was thick.“What the hell happened Odessa? I thought Georgios was your mate?” Dimitri asked and a low growl came from Hades at the mention of Georgios.“It's kind of a long story.” She replied.“We've got time. No one is leaving this car for a few hours.” Dimitri said.Hades spoke first, “My mother was originally from Georgios’ pack, Zeus's Howlers. When my father claimed her as a chosen mate, she switched packs and joined Moon Warriors. He wasn't very good to us and took little interest in me. Growing up, Ispent a great deal of time visiting with my grandparents at theirpack. Georgios’ father had the pack then, he was good to me, let me come and stay whenever I wanted to. My grandparents were wonderful people and I enjoyed
Chapter 37 – Progress“I'm Lucy Michaels LaRue, Luna of Crescent Moon Pack. As a golden wolf of the Gods, I now claim Zeus's Howlers as myown. We are not enemies with Alpha Dimitri Theodorus. Our daughter Raven LaRue, is his mate and the new Luna ofOlympus Blood Moon. We believe this will be a strong alliance for both packs and Zeus's Howlers will grow stronger andflourish.” My mother said.Applause and joyous howls erupted from the crowd. My mother stood in the middle of the field wearing nothing but my father’s shirt after she shifted back. Dimitri and I stood with my father as my mother addressed her new pack.“Beta Onassis, please step forward.” She called out. The crowd became silent and some exchanged nervous looks. “Some of you may have already heard, our oldest son and heir of CrescentMoon, Knox LaRue, is the mate of the Beta's daughter. This will now connect the packs in more ways than one. We are honoredto have Raquel Onassis, from Zeus's Howlers as the future Lunaof t
Dimitri's POVChapter 36 – Claiming“He's going to be okay, won't he Dr. Vovos?” Niko asked.“I've known Kosta since he was a pup, your Uncle is one of the strongest wolves I've ever met.” Dr. Vovos assured us.The pack clinic was a mile down the road from the pack house. It was morning, we had to wait until Dr. Vovos had stabilized Kosta before we could see him.He was connected to machines and tubes, he looked pretty bad.“How long until he wakes up?” I asked, I really needed to talk to him. Find out who did this. He was badly beaten and shotwith a silver bullet. The silver should have killed him, it's a miracle that he even survived.“He's stable for now, but he's not out of the woods yet. It could be a few days or a few weeks. We don't even know the status of his wolf yet.” She said.Shit! We don't have that kind of time to sit around and wait. Ineeded to get going, Georgios’ pack was five hours northeast ofhere. I mind linked Alec and Spiro to meet me in my office in twenty
Chapter 35 – Patient“If he's done something to my sister, I can't just lay around and do nothing. I need to find her. I’m going to kill him myself.”Dimitri growled trying to stand up.“She's our sister now too. You won't be helpful to anyone if you don't allow that to heal.” Knox replied.“Dimitri please.” I tried to calm my mate down. “She's his mate, he won't hurt her.”“Unless one of them rejects the other, then he will.” Dimitri said.“He wouldn't be that stupid, he knows she's your sister and doesn't want to make an enemy of you.” I told him.“Maybe, but Odessa might reject him first, she's obviously not happy about this.” He said.“My parents are with Georgios; they know something isn't right. We’ll find her, we just need you to heal. Dr. Vovos should be here to check your wound and change the bandage one moretime for the night. You can speak to her about your progress.” I said.“I need to get to Georgios, if Odessa is still in his territory, I can find her.” Dimitri said.“W
Dimitri's POVChapter 34 – Blast“Kosta should be landing with the helicopter in about tenminutes.” I informed Diesel and Lucy. We stood at the northern peak of the island waiting for Kosta. Lucy was insistent aboutreturning to Alpha Georgios pack right away.“I'll see if I can speak with Odessa alone first. I'll call Knox when I've spoken to her, so he can update you. We'll letGeorgios believe that Knox has returned to Crescent Moon with Rocky, and that we've remained in Greece because Alpha LaRue isn't convinced that Raven wants to be with you. That he'sconsidering taking your head for stealing our only daughter and forcing her to mate with you.” Lucy told me.“Mother!” Raven protested at the idea of forced mating.“We'll see if Georgios will lead us to Stefanos or if he letsanything slip. If we hit a dead end, I'll light Georgios up and send him straight to hell.” Lucy said.“I can position my warriors just outside his pack territory tolead an attack and help if things get st
