I clenched my fist behind me as I glared contemptuously at him.

“You locked Daisy in here, didn’t you?” I rasped, heaving in anger.

My blood boiled as a smirk danced at the corner of his lips.

“I knew you would try to look for Daisy here, but sorry to disappoint you, your little princess isn’t here anymore,” he grinned, taking a step towards me.

“Where is Daisy?” I asked, shifting back.

“All I have to say is that she is safe,” he muttered, tilting his head sideways.

“How can you be so heartless, how can you lock a little girl in here?” I snapped in a quivering voice.

Evan stared around the room like he was there for the first time and chuckled unremorsefully.

“She deserved it anyways; what are you going to do about it?” his snickering made me want to smash his head on the wall, but when Caleb’s warning filtered into my ear, I refrained.
