“You?” Caleb muttered, dismay filled his voice.

“Let them in,” I said to the security man.

He glanced at Caleb to get approval before obeying my order.

“Don’t let anyone in,” Caleb said and the security man nodded before sliding out of the room.

“I will go out then,” I said and skipped past them, heading towards the door.

“Are you going to have me arrested? You think I did it?” He said to Mrs. Joyce as I got to the door.

I spun around and faced him, a contemptuous glare on my face.

“If you didn’t then who did?” I spat, rolling my eyes at him.

The young boy sighed and slumped into a couch.

“We have a hard nut to crack,” he sang, rolling a ring around his fingers as he stared at me from the corner of his eyes.

“Get ready too, you’ll be going to jail with your boss,” I snapped at him and he scoffed.

I opened the front door and stepped out on the porch, yelling for assistance.

The cops heard my yell and forced their way through the gate and security.
