"Ah!"

Lisa screamed in pain as tears streamed down her face.

She jumped back, clutching her cheek, her eyes brimming with tears as she looked pitifully at Seth.

Seth took a step forward and shoved me aside.

I stumbled back a few steps, barely catching myself against the wall.

"Enough, Melody!" he shouted, "Look at yourself—you’re acting like a crazy woman!"

I shot back, "She stepped on my scans and refused to move. Could your bias be any more obvious, Seth?"

He fell silent as if he had only just realized I was at the hospital because I was sick.

His brows furrowed, and a flicker of concern appeared in his eyes. "Are you sick?"
