Chapter 5

A few minutes after Roland woke the following day, his wolf suddenly told him their mate was closeby. The moon goddess was giving him a second chance mate? Why? He thought angrily and stormed out. Whoever the person was, he was rejecting the person. He began to perceive the faint scent of his mate and he began to trace the smell, surprisingly, the smell of his mate was getting stronger as he approached the Dungeon. 

When he got before the dungeon, he paused at the thought of whether the slave with twin babies was her mate. 

Nina had also confirmed that her mate was nearby, she was happy and elated that the moon goddess was giving her a second chance mate. Could her mate be a guard or someone with an high position in the pack. 

Since she was already seated beside her babies bed, she stood and moved closer to the dungeon's door. 

The smell got thicker and she nervously waited for her mate to show up. Perhaps, her mate would be able to devise means for her to escape this place with her babies. 

The door to the dungeon opened and Roland appeared, Nina furrowed her brow in shock as she took steps back, he was her mate? She knew for sure that he was going to reject her. 

She was scared of the pain she would go through once he rejects her. Why was the moon goddess being cruel to her? Firstly, the moon goddess had made Dewey her first mate but he rejected her heartlessly, shattering her heart and making her act stupid, otherwise she wouldn't have had any reason to seduce Roland to have sex with her. 

Roland's anger knew no height when he confirmed that Nina was his mate, "what's your name?" He asked, ready to reject her. 

Nina shook her head in response and said," I won't tell you my name." If she does, she knew he was going to reject her and leave her heartbroken. She was going through a lot already with her kids, being rejected may affect her mentally. 

"Are you scared of rejection? I don't know why the moon goddess will appoint you as my mate when she clearly knows how much I hated slaves." Roland walked up to her and when he was standing right before her, he demanded strongly," tell me your full name or I will make your life hell." 

"My life is hell already, please don't make it worse," she pleaded. 

"Tell me your name," he shouted on her making her jerk back in fear but Nina shook her head in response, she was scared of what he will do to her. 

Roland turned and shouted, "guards!" 

Two guards appeared immediately and then he ordered," bring me the silver needle. " 

"Yes, alpha," the guards said in unison and sped away. 

"No, please. Don't do this to me, please I beg of you. I don't really have strength, Don't take the little strength I have away from me, consider my children, please," Nina pleaded earnestly with tears on her face but Roland just walked to and fro the Dungeon, anger glaring on his face. 

It is only when he rejects her that he can feel true peace and get detached from her. He never wanted woman again in his life yet the moon goddess suddenly mated him with a slave. 

The guards soon appeared and handed over the silver needle to him. 

"Hold her," he commanded and the two guards ran towards Nina immediately and held her. 

"Please don't do this," Nina cried, she wasn't struggling with the guards at all. 

"Tell me your name and I'll spare you," he said but Nina shook her head in response still. The heartbreak she experienced ten months ago was still fresh in her delicate heart. 

He took the injection slowly towards her neck, Nina realized what was about to happen, she tore her cloth and let her angry wolf take over, her wolf growled in anger and threw the two guards angrily away, making them crash heavily to the wall. 

Roland was surprised at how strong her wolf is, her fur was white and beautiful but her canine looked very sharp. She stood firmly with her claws on the ground and growled angrily at Roland who was holding the needle. 

"Attack me if you can," Roland said but she only growled. She had shifted into a wolf just to protect herself. 

"The silver needle will have more effect on you in this form than when you are a human, "he said and walked towards her, Nina was trying hard not to fight her soul mate but at the same time, she had to protect herself. She jumped on him angrily but he flinged her away like she weighed nothing. 

He was the strongest alpha in the world and even in his human form, he has so much energy. Nina's wolf crashed on the wall and she winced in pain. 

Roland was angry that this little wolf dared to jump on him, he walked towards her baby and carried one with his hand, Nina was scared that she almost changed back into her human form to plead with him but she has no cloth to change to as she had tore them off while shifting. 

She looked at him from where she stood and dared not to make any move again. 

"I'll inject your two babies." 

Roland watched and saw that she dared not to attack again, her wolf who had an angry face on now had a pathetic face on. 

Roland took the needle towards the baby as if trying to inject them but Nina's wolf didn't make a move. It's pointless; One , he was stronger than her, secondly, he would do whatever he wishes to do on her and her children no matter how she tried. 

Roland tucked the needle in his pocket and placed the baby down gently. 

"I didn't hurt your baby, I'll order the maid to bring you clothes so you can have something to change to when you shift back. But next time you dare to attack me, I'll not let you live another second," he said, looked at her with hatred and walked out of the dungeon majestically.
