Hypnotic Serum

The place where Alex lives and the white pearl city gates are quite far from each other. Alex walked slowly, but he reached the city gates within two hours.

Because of his recent body shaping, even though he walked for two hours, he didn't seem to be exhausted.

To enter the city everyone needs to pass through a barrier where the barrier will scan the person's identity, and if the person is new to the city, he has to undergo a test conducted by the city guards.

This test is nothing but to know what is the purpose of the person's visit to the city. While testing, the city guards will drug the person with truth serum, after that they will ask him a few questions related to the purpose of that person's visit to the city.

The guards will kill that individual on the spot If they find out the person has any malicious intent towards the city.

When Alex reached the entrance gate, there is already a long line of people who are waiting to enter the city.

He also joined the queue. Everyone in the queue is wearing nice-looking clothes and looked like high-class people.

There are two queues at the entrance gate. People who are entering for the first time have to take one line and the remaining have to take the other line.

Alex joined the Queue where people are entering the city for the first time. He joined this queue because if he joined the other queue while verifying his ID card, the barrier system would notify the guards that they banned him from the city. If that happens, the guards will again throw him outside the city.

For the people who are entering the city for the first time, there won't be any ID card checking, only the truth serum test will be there. If they pass the truth serum test, the system will generate a temporary ID card for them.

With the temporary ID card, they can use almost all the facilities in the city.

Alex's line moved slowly and everyone before him are undergone the truth serum test and assigned a temporary ID card. Now it's Alex's turn to be tested.

"Hey Mister, come to this side" When Alex entered the gate, a guard dragged Alex to the side.

He took Alex into a room near the wall. When Alex entered the room, he saw several guards are already in the room.

Not only the guards looked strong, but they are also in possession of weapons. Entering the city without permission is an impossible task.

"Excuse me, Mister. can you please lie down on the examination table," While Alex was observing the guards in the room, he heard a melodious voice asking him to lie down on the table?

Alex looked aside and saw a girl wearing a white coat looking at him with her almond eyes. She has her hair falling on both sides of her shoulders. Under the white coat, she is wearing a black one-piece dress revealing her snow-white legs.

"Beautiful..." Alex said unconsciously while looking at her beautiful face.

"What did you say?" She asked him.

"Ahh... it's nothing," Alex replied and went to the examination table to lie down.

"My name is Sophia. I will conduct the test. This test contains few simple questions, you just have to answer them honestly to clear the test," Sophia said and injected the truth serum into his body.

Alex knows this procedure well, so he didn't question her. The serum started doing its job, Alex's eyes closed.

"Master, don't fall asleep. Just stay conscious without opening your eyes, I won't let that serum take action," Sara suggested to Alex, not to fall asleep.

Sara's words prevented Alex from falling asleep. " Thanks, Sara. now I can answer water I want," Alex thanked Sara.

*Snap* *Snap* *snap*

"Hello, can you hear me," Sophia asked Alex?

"Yes," Alex answered lightly.

"Good, can you tell me your name and your purpose of visiting the white pearl city," Sophia asked him the actual question.

"Yes, my name is Alex, and I came here to buy some new clothes and to find some work to do," Alex answered her honestly.

A surprised look appeared on Sophia's beautiful face. Then she looked at the dress Alex was wearing.

His dress is full of holes and dirt, even an unpleasant smell is coming from it. Till now she only looked at his charming face, no one bothered to observe his clothing, even though he is wearing a poor dress, no one gave a thought about it because of his charming face.

His answer satisfied Sophia. She said, " I believe in your answer. How many days are you planning to stay in this city,"

" I will stay here for at least a month," Alex answered.

" Great job, Master. you are acting very well. There is something I have to tell you," Sara praised Alex and intended to tell him something.

"What is it," Alex asked her.

"No problem. You can stay in this city for one month. But after that, you have to do something for our city," before Sara can answer Sophia said to Alex.

" Master, the serum they gave you is not the truth serum. It is a hypnotic serum." Immediately after Sophia spoke, Sara told Alex about the serum.

"Hypnotic serum..?, what is it, I never heard about it. Why would they give something like that to me?" the truth about the serum shocked Alex.

He always thought the serum used for the test is truth serum, but now Sara is saying that it is something else. He knows his assistant won't lie to him, so he has to believe the serum in his body is a hypnotic serum.

" Hypnotic serum is used for mind control. If I haven't prevented this serum from working, you would've fallen into her hands and become a puppet," Sara explained about the hypnotic serum.

"What the hell..?, how can they use such a thing on me.? do they want me to become their puppet?" Alex retorted. The thought of him becoming someone's puppet made him angrier.

After all, who in the world wants to be someone's puppet. Every human desire freedom, no one wants to be confined.
