Mum decided and had chosen Harold over dad, which made me mad at first, but after the talk I had with dad and the fact that he seemed fine with it calmed me down a little, but I mean I never see him anymore these days, as he is most of the day and sometimes until very late at night at the office doing who knows what, because it is certainly not work stuff because I have been handling most of that again and I must say it does feel good to be back, even if it is only partly back.
Having my darling little girl back was great. They stayed for about a week while the sale of their house was being finalized. Luke had seen the house and thought that it was the perfect one and had started the process of buying it before the wedding so that they could move in not long after the wedding. It was so romantic. He even wants to have some renovations done on the house but Lexi needs to decide this and, for this fact, she first needs to see the house.
They both als
Darren's P.O.VWhen mum began crying, I panicked. Did I do something wrong? Did she find out I was lying about my homework?"Mum, please don't cry. Did I do something wrong?"She didn't look mad. Maybe I'm seeing things that aren't true."No, you didn't do anything wrong. It's just that you haven't said 'I love you' to me in six years."Come to think of it, I realised that she was right. I hadn't said it in a long time and I didn't exactly show it to her either.Wow, I'm a horrible child. I love my mum. She should know this even if I forget to tell her."Mum, you should know I love you even if I forget to tell you sometimes. You are my one and only mother. Nobody else would still love me after everything."She looked happy about that. I gave her another hug and just held on to her as tightly as I could. Dad must already be in bed and, judging from mum's clothes, she wante
Luke's P.O.VThe last two years have been the best of my life. Alexia had decided to host a dinner for the whole family tonight and asked me to get a few things on my way home from work. I stopped at the shops and quickly got everything on the list and a little something extra for Lexi as she always wants to eat chocolate these last few weeks. She has never had much of a sweet tooth before. I arrived at home and unloaded everything from the car and dropped it off in the kitchen on the counter that still had a little space left open.Lexi walked in and she was looking very beautiful indeed.I kissed her on the cheek."There anything I can help you with or do you have everything under control?"She looked around and looked at me again, smiling."No, I have everything under control. You can head up and take a shower and get dressed before the family starts arriving. If there is something else, then I
Liam's P.O.VWith all the shocks and good news we have been receiving the last few weeks, I would need to be careful not to get too excited when someone says that they have news to share. First there was Darren's change of heart and then followed Luke and Lexi's news and we also got some good news from the company side of life.I'mgoing to be a granddad. I make myself sound old saying it, but I really don't care. I am overjoyed by the fact of holding a little baby once more. This time I will spoil him or her and then, as the rule of grandparents is, give him or her back to the parents. Anne and Darren also made peace and they got along like children and parents should. He changed his whole behaviour. Before, he wouldn't be caught dead hugging anyone or showing any emotions, but now we get hugs each and every night or morning when we either go to bed or wake up. He even told Anne first about his new girlfriend. Anne had
Six months laterAlexia's P.O.VOur baby boy is coming in about two months. We are so excited and can't wait. Darren and his new girlfriend promised to help with the babysitting if we ever needed them in the future. I think it will be quite a while before we even think of leaving the little one with anyone else than each other. It will be our time to bond with him and make sure that everything is good and he is and stays as healthy as he needs to be.I must say that those two do make an interesting couple and I can't wait to have her as my sister-in-law. She is the sweetest girl and her manners and shyness are so cute. Even holding hands with Darren in front of us all makes her blush like crazy. I heard from mum that she is also staying for dinner tonight, so we can all meet her because the last time only mum and dad met her properly the other night when she was over for dinner. Da
Two months laterLuke's P.O.VLexi had a tough delivery but at least Scott has been born and he is just perfect. Lexi is still a little out of it and under sedation to help her heal a little before she can hold little Scott. It has been a gruelling twenty hours but our little bundle of joy is absolutely perfect, already cuddling and oowing to his dad as I got to hold him a little while after they had cleaned him. Darren looked like he wanted to run away when I showed them little Scotty. Mum and dad made turns holding him while I was worrying about Lexi. She has just woken up and she wants to see her little one.Mum brought Scotty and gave him to Alexia to hold him for her first time. Alexia is super happy about him and she has a few tears in her eyes while holding him for the very first time. I sat down on the bed next to her and hugged her and our little miracle to me.
Donald's P.O.VShe started her sentence but didn't finish it. She fainted and hasn't woken up yet. We tried everything and she still didn't respond. I'm worried but Liam is freaked out. He is speeding like a maniac to get to the hospital so that they can check her out and tell us what is wrong. We arrived and they took her to do some tests on her. We sat in the waiting room and worried crazily. They were taking so long and we weren't being told anything about what was happening and what they had found out yet. Liam started pacing the waiting room and I was just about ready to join him. I mean this could have been entirely my fault with the news I had given them all. We were going crazy with worry. After about three hours, the doctor finally came out and said she only fainted but hit her head when she fell. They have just done some tests to make sure that the fall hadn't caused any lasting damage, but to be sure they want to
Eight months laterAlexia's P.O.VI can't believe that the first year of spending time with my little miracle and my wonderful husband is almost over. Scotty is already turning one in about three weeks. I guess the saying time flies when you are having fun stands true again. With Darren living in the flat with Natasha, mum and dad have the whole house to themselves again and sometimes, with how weird those two are, I wonder what they do when they are alone.Speaking of Darren, he is having fun and doing well in college. He calls me every other day to talk when he can't get hold of mum and it's been a nice change having him call me looking for advice, even though it's only because mum is busy.Apparently, he is planning to ask Natasha to marry him soon or that is what I had heard when he last called me. Don't know for when he was planning what he had been planning and I am pretty sure I wa
Anne's P.O.VAfter the whole excitement was over from the engagement news, I took a good look at the two of them standing there being congratulated by everyone. Natasha is so happy and, if I must say so, she is absolutely glowing. She and Darren had also had those secret looks they had been giving each other today that they hadn't done before. He was also a little more protective of her and he wanted to always be near her or holding on to her. Looking more closely, it also looked to me that Natacha looked a little bigger than I last saw her. It could be that she had been letting go and eating a little more or my hunch that I have is correct.Maybe it is my imagination, but I think she is pregnant. If she is, I will be overjoyed at becoming a grandmother again. She could leave the little one with me when she has classes. I know her father will be very mad at her and might not be in the best position to help out for the first
