Ten years later
Anne's P.O.V
Time really flies when you are having fun. That is what we have been doing for the past ten years. Alexia is at the legal age and still my happy little girl. She and her brother Darren get along fine. I have heard that kids with an age difference between them fight like cats and dogs, but these two are playing nice. Might begin changing now with Darren reaching his teen years and Alexia exiting them. Who knows, we will have to wait and see what happens.
Alexia is turning eighteen today. Her gift from me is a brand spanking new car, she had been dropping hints about it all the while we have been teaching her how to drive. Liam, on the other hand, is planning his but won't tell me what it is. As if I can't keep a secret from our little girl.
Anyways, her car was delivered late last night with a bow and everything and her keys I wrapped in wrapping
Luke's P.O.V (Alexia's Boyfriend) I get the feeling that she doesn't want me to meet her parents. Why I don't know, but after trying for the last six months she finally agreed to let me meet them. I knew about the dinner because my dad was going and I knew about the formal attire as that, is all that dad could talk about. His invite to be at a Jones-Watson family party. I arrived home and told my mom and dad I would be joining them tonight. They looked shocked to say the least, they always had to force me to go or drag me with them, but here I am telling them that I was going on my own free will. I would freak out too.My parents know about me and Lexi and she has met them so many times when she has come over or in passing. Making it no problem for me to have a perfect gift for her ready on time for the party and her birthday. It is a beautiful diamond necklace that I had designed from scratch and one of its k
Two years laterLuke's P.O.VAlexia and I have been going steady for the last three years and I feel that it is now the right time to ask her a very important question that will change the way everything is at the moment. I am going to ask Alexia to marry me as soon as I have permission from her dad.Since we met, we have been getting along great and I always ask him for help or advice when I am stuck with a problem and I am not sure which way might be the best way out of the problem. He has really become a mentor and I would like to have him as my father-in-law.I had called and asked if I could come over to the office to ask for his advice on a matter and he had said that he didn't mind me coming. His PA had said that he was between meetings at the moment and that I could go in. I knocked on his office door and when he invited me in, I opened the door."Good afternoon
Alexia's P.O.VMum and dad apparently knew that Luke was going to ask me to marry him, as Luke had been to ask dad's permission before he popped the question to me. It must have been torture for mum as she is so used to sharing everything with me unless dad didn't tell her until it was happening and she couldn't spill the beans. I don't mind. It was a nice surprise and I loved every moment of it.We are currently heading home because his parents and my parents are waiting there for us before we are going out for a celebratory lunch. If I had to be honest, I would have loved to stay and just be me and him all alone, but we have all the time in the world later on to do just that.We arrived and walked into the house and could hear all the parents sitting in the living room talking and laughing. I whispered to Luke to try and get him to come with me."Last chance. We can still make a run for it and just spend time
Two months laterLuke's P.O.VMum and auntie Anne went all out with the engagement party. There were people here who I had never met in my life and Alexia seemed just as confused as to who some of these people were. We decided that we would stay in our corner together to avoid any further confusion and weirdness from happening like earlier on. Mum, dad and Alexia's parents were chatting away with everyone while we were sitting there enjoying talking to each other and the few friends we had gotten invited to the party. We made plans to go out afterwards and have some fun on our own away from this party where we could properly celebrate our engagement with the people important to us.I also need to slip away sometime so I can get the honeymoon arranged. Alexia had said that she didn't want anything fancy and dad had said we could borrow the holiday home if we wanted to, so the honeymoon plan was s
Right before he rushes into the church where the wedding is being heldDonald's P.O.VI know just showing up was a bad idea, but I didn't think that this would have happened. According to the doctors of the small medical centre on the island that the plane crashed on, I was a miracle awakening. I wasn't supposed to be alive or even awake at that. When they found the plane, they found the other people on board lying around the plane after they were thrown from it. I had been in the bathroom and wasn't thrown from the plane. The piece of wreckage broke off with me in it and landed in a tree where they told me that they had found me hanging. I was barely breathing when they got me down. They didn't think I would ever wake up or anything, having been in the condition that I was, but they couldn't just shut everything off, so they kept me alive all these years trying to find my family, but without an
Anne's P.O.VAll throughout the whole wedding and after party mum refused to speak more than the necessary two words with dad. It was turning into kind of an awkward situation, but thankfully, also the end of the party. I asked Liam if he would mind having dad stay with us for the time being, as I knew that mum wouldn't allow him to go and stay with her and he agreed.Luke and Lexi had booked a hotel room for the evening and would be going to the airport tomorrow for the start of their honeymoon, so that was one less thing to have to worry about currently.Darren seems to have taken a fancy towards his grandfather and they have both been talking about something for the last few hours. It's good that he is bonding with Darren but I also wanted to find out more about where he was and what he was doing during the time he had been away. He had promised that he would be telling me later and now was definitely later.
Anne's P.O.VEven after hearing everything and saying that she believes dad, she still refuses to speak to dad besides the normal conversations that she feels forced to have with him. She stays in Harold's house and he stays with her. Never understood why they didn't sell one of the two houses and stay in the other, but it is all making sense now. She had wanted to keep one in place for when they needed to escape from something. What is worse is that she doesn't even allow dad to go and stay at their house when she isn't even feeling the need to go back there. Dad is staying with me but I have had enough of this. This needs to be sorted out and fast. Mum just has to pick one of the two men and I hope she picks dad. If she doesn't, I have no idea how I might react, but I do expect the worse reaction there is. I might never talk to her again.Since she had been hiding out at Harold's house without answering any calls or text m
I have been stuck here for the last three hours and nothing happened, nobody stopped to help as expected because with the rain it was already darker than usual and the fact that I must have broken something because the car shut off and now it won't start again really isn't helping. Oh and I am bored. I have nothing to do and nobody to come rescue me.I doubt if Liam has even noticed that I was staying away longer than necessary. I was hoping that he would have been here by now.I tried breaking the windows but that wasn't happening and the door wouldn't open with it being stuck three quarters of the way into the ditch. The electric windows aren't working because the car won't start, so I can't even just open them and climb out. I laughed at myself because I felt really stupid at the moment. Before long, the tears were back again.Mum had chosen Harold. She didn't even think twice and just blatantly chose him over dad. Dad was the man who stood by her
