Anne's P.O.V
All throughout the whole wedding and after party mum refused to speak more than the necessary two words with dad. It was turning into kind of an awkward situation, but thankfully, also the end of the party. I asked Liam if he would mind having dad stay with us for the time being, as I knew that mum wouldn't allow him to go and stay with her and he agreed.
Luke and Lexi had booked a hotel room for the evening and would be going to the airport tomorrow for the start of their honeymoon, so that was one less thing to have to worry about currently.
Darren seems to have taken a fancy towards his grandfather and they have both been talking about something for the last few hours. It's good that he is bonding with Darren but I also wanted to find out more about where he was and what he was doing during the time he had been away. He had promised that he would be telling me later and now was definitely later.
Anne's P.O.VEven after hearing everything and saying that she believes dad, she still refuses to speak to dad besides the normal conversations that she feels forced to have with him. She stays in Harold's house and he stays with her. Never understood why they didn't sell one of the two houses and stay in the other, but it is all making sense now. She had wanted to keep one in place for when they needed to escape from something. What is worse is that she doesn't even allow dad to go and stay at their house when she isn't even feeling the need to go back there. Dad is staying with me but I have had enough of this. This needs to be sorted out and fast. Mum just has to pick one of the two men and I hope she picks dad. If she doesn't, I have no idea how I might react, but I do expect the worse reaction there is. I might never talk to her again.Since she had been hiding out at Harold's house without answering any calls or text m
I have been stuck here for the last three hours and nothing happened, nobody stopped to help as expected because with the rain it was already darker than usual and the fact that I must have broken something because the car shut off and now it won't start again really isn't helping. Oh and I am bored. I have nothing to do and nobody to come rescue me.I doubt if Liam has even noticed that I was staying away longer than necessary. I was hoping that he would have been here by now.I tried breaking the windows but that wasn't happening and the door wouldn't open with it being stuck three quarters of the way into the ditch. The electric windows aren't working because the car won't start, so I can't even just open them and climb out. I laughed at myself because I felt really stupid at the moment. Before long, the tears were back again.Mum had chosen Harold. She didn't even think twice and just blatantly chose him over dad. Dad was the man who stood by her
Donald's P.O.VLiam told me that Annie had been out for a while now and when he tried to call her the phone rang in the room upstairs. With no means of communication, he decided to call Harold and ask if Anne was still there, but he said that she had left maybe more than four hours ago already. The distance between her home and Harold's place wasn't that long, so it couldn't have taken Anne more than fifteen minutes to get home. Liam and I both started worrying and we decided that Liam would go and drive the route and I would stay here for the time being, in case she comes home while he is still out and searching and also to keep an eye on Darren. He had been out searching for barely a few minutes when he called me and told me to get a doctor to the house and that he had found Annie inside her car in a ditch off the road just about halfway. She had fallen asleep and he said that he could see that she had been crying. He woul
Mum decided and had chosen Harold over dad, which made me mad at first, but after the talk I had with dad and the fact that he seemed fine with it calmed me down a little, but I mean I never see him anymore these days, as he is most of the day and sometimes until very late at night at the office doing who knows what, because it is certainly not work stuff because I have been handling most of that again and I must say it does feel good to be back, even if it is only partly back. Having my darling little girl back was great. They stayed for about a week while the sale of their house was being finalized. Luke had seen the house and thought that it was the perfect one and had started the process of buying it before the wedding so that they could move in not long after the wedding. It was so romantic. He even wants to have some renovations done on the house but Lexi needs to decide this and, for this fact, she first needs to see the house. They both als
Darren's P.O.VWhen mum began crying, I panicked. Did I do something wrong? Did she find out I was lying about my homework?"Mum, please don't cry. Did I do something wrong?"She didn't look mad. Maybe I'm seeing things that aren't true."No, you didn't do anything wrong. It's just that you haven't said 'I love you' to me in six years."Come to think of it, I realised that she was right. I hadn't said it in a long time and I didn't exactly show it to her either.Wow, I'm a horrible child. I love my mum. She should know this even if I forget to tell her."Mum, you should know I love you even if I forget to tell you sometimes. You are my one and only mother. Nobody else would still love me after everything."She looked happy about that. I gave her another hug and just held on to her as tightly as I could. Dad must already be in bed and, judging from mum's clothes, she wante
Luke's P.O.VThe last two years have been the best of my life. Alexia had decided to host a dinner for the whole family tonight and asked me to get a few things on my way home from work. I stopped at the shops and quickly got everything on the list and a little something extra for Lexi as she always wants to eat chocolate these last few weeks. She has never had much of a sweet tooth before. I arrived at home and unloaded everything from the car and dropped it off in the kitchen on the counter that still had a little space left open.Lexi walked in and she was looking very beautiful indeed.I kissed her on the cheek."There anything I can help you with or do you have everything under control?"She looked around and looked at me again, smiling."No, I have everything under control. You can head up and take a shower and get dressed before the family starts arriving. If there is something else, then I
Liam's P.O.VWith all the shocks and good news we have been receiving the last few weeks, I would need to be careful not to get too excited when someone says that they have news to share. First there was Darren's change of heart and then followed Luke and Lexi's news and we also got some good news from the company side of life.I'mgoing to be a granddad. I make myself sound old saying it, but I really don't care. I am overjoyed by the fact of holding a little baby once more. This time I will spoil him or her and then, as the rule of grandparents is, give him or her back to the parents. Anne and Darren also made peace and they got along like children and parents should. He changed his whole behaviour. Before, he wouldn't be caught dead hugging anyone or showing any emotions, but now we get hugs each and every night or morning when we either go to bed or wake up. He even told Anne first about his new girlfriend. Anne had
Six months laterAlexia's P.O.VOur baby boy is coming in about two months. We are so excited and can't wait. Darren and his new girlfriend promised to help with the babysitting if we ever needed them in the future. I think it will be quite a while before we even think of leaving the little one with anyone else than each other. It will be our time to bond with him and make sure that everything is good and he is and stays as healthy as he needs to be.I must say that those two do make an interesting couple and I can't wait to have her as my sister-in-law. She is the sweetest girl and her manners and shyness are so cute. Even holding hands with Darren in front of us all makes her blush like crazy. I heard from mum that she is also staying for dinner tonight, so we can all meet her because the last time only mum and dad met her properly the other night when she was over for dinner. Da
