“So this is going to be your office from now on Mr Xavier.” Alara pushes the glass doors revealing a large office. She has spent the last hour showing him around the company, his office was the last stop for the day. The mahogany table gave the room a certain kind of aura suitable for someone like Xavier. The Opaque glass of the office was exactly what he needed as no one could know what he was doing in his office.

The imagination of bending over the woman that stood before him on his desk, her ass in the air, turned him on so bad he distracted himself by looking around.

Xavier walks into the office looking around as if checking if it was to his taste. “This will do Miss Alara.” He flashes her one of his playboy smiles and Alara couldn’t help but grimace.

Prostitute, she thought to herself but she wouldn’t dare say it out loud would she? As much as she would love to smack his advances off his head, she loved her job a bit too much to risk it.

“That will be all for today Mr Xavier, do have a nice day. And reach out to me if you have more questions.” As she reaches for the door Xavier blocks her way and corners her by the glass door with her back to the door and him being dangerously close to her. Her breath hitched and her heart raced faster. Why the fuck was she reacting this way to the man…boy rather!

Alara frowns and looks at him questioningly. “Do you need something, Xavier?”

His eyes lit up. “I like it better when you call me just Xavier, let’s drop the formalities. Plus you’re older than me by the looks of it.” The last statement causes Alara to scowl at him.

“I do have a question tho. You said I could ask about anything, yes?”

Straightening that she was almost too close to him she responded, “Of course you may ask. So far as it’s work related I’ll be obliged to answer.”

“Good. So what exactly did you see in my brother Charles that made you fall head over heels for him.” Xavier asked his voice dripping with sarcasm.

Alara’s annoyance was more evident at this point. “Does that sound like a work-related question to you Xavier? That’s my private life.”

“You work for me, which makes you my subordinate. I’m only concerned that my employee has a bad taste in men.” He let out a sigh. “Don’t tell me you had plans to marry him, did you?”

Thwack! Came the sound of Alara’s palm on his face in a blink of an eye. His comment hit a sore spot for Alara and she couldn’t help it but give him a slap.

He deserved it, stupid asshole. She thought to herself while glaring at him.

Xavier looked shocked at first but he covered it up quickly with a smug smile and wiped his cheeks with the back of his hand.

“Feisty! I like my women that way Alara.” Alara pulled out her hands to smack him one more time but he was faster and soon her right hand was pinned right over her head with her back flat to the glass door. She tried again with her left hand and ended up in the same position.

“Let me go, Xavier!” She whisper yelled at him glaring daggers at him. “The hell is wrong with you anyways? I’ve only met you for less than three hours and you’ve been nothing but an asshole.”

Xavier watches her struggle in his grip and a slow smile spreads across his face.

“What are you smiling at?” Alara bites back.

“At you Alara. And for what’s wrong with me? It’s you. You are what is wrong with me.” Using two of his hands to pin her in place, his right-hand cradles her face softly. “Your attitude and temper don’t match your face. My cheeks hurt from your slap.”

Alara’s eyes wandered to his face and true, a little red line had appeared on his face. She felt guilty for a second but she wouldn’t admit it. “You deserved it. Now let me go.”

“Not till you compensate for hitting me. I think you’ve forgotten who the boss is here, Alara.” His eyes were glinting mischievously.

“Fine, I’m sorry for hitting you but you need to stay off my privacy and not bring up Charles anymore. Now can you let me go? I have work to do.”

Shaking his head, “That wasn’t a genuine apology.” Alara frowns at his statement. “What do you mean?”

“I mean there are other ways of apologizing Alara.” Caressing her face til his fingers were just inches away from her lips, Alara’s breath caught in her throat as she felt herself loving his caresses. “What… what do you think you’re doing?” Her voice cracked softly.

“Asking for an apology. A kiss will suffice.” He leans in closer and their lips are just inches apart from each other. Alara not wanting to take chances, clamps her lips tightly together. Xavier found this funny and burst into a fit of laughter releasing her caged hands in the process.

“That was a smart but very funny move Alara.” Without wanting to hear any more of his bullshit, Alara rushes towards the door and makes to open it but he speaks up again.

“You still owe me an apology Alara and I’ll be sure to get it from you. And one more thing, looking forward to learning more from you, as I won’t hesitate to teach you what I learned before coming here.” He tells her. “It’s going to be a nice, long ride.”

“Which I’m not looking forward to Mr Xavier. Do have a pleasant day.” Alara shot back and made her way out of the office.

Xavier watched her go from the glass of his office. Something about her interested him so bad and he wasn’t going to back down till he got what he wanted.
