Chapter 47
And now all I can hear is her slowly by slowly snoring. It seems like she have fallen asleep considering the fact that the breeze here is cold which is coming from these towering trees. Not to mention the fresh sounds coming from the rushing flow of the water from the river, it seemed like a music to the ears, and that was probably the reason why Tonette feels like she was being swayed to sleep.
“Harri---.”
“Sshh…” I blocked my index finger to my lips as a signal to tell her not to make any noise, due to the fact that her sister was now already in deep sleep.
“I’m sorry, what happened to her, and it seemed like she was sound asleep?” She asked using her low voice.
“We’ve been talking for a while earlier, when all of a sudden she’s now snoring.” I slowly stood up. She didn’t seemed to wake up so I kept on walking as I move closer towards Dralia
Chapter 48The last thing I remembered was that I was struggling to get out from the rushing waters of the river, and all I knew was that I was drowning at that moment, and because of that recovered memory, I immediately got up and to my surprise, all I could get a glimpse of are these unknown creatures that were boxing me in right now. They seemed to look like paintings hanged on the ceiling of a very tall museum owing to the fact that the gap between their faces and of me was so up close. When I was able to stand permanently from the bed where I was lying earlier, I immediately took a look at it and then I figured out that it was just a long rock with corals being decorated on its sides, and with large clams also that serve as the headboard of this simple bed. I did never ever really form a mental picture of this kind of bed that would really exist, and that I would be given the chance to see something like this out of the ordinary in my whole life.
Chapter 49We now continued our training, even though I came from an unexpected event. It is almost the end of the day, I am now slowly learning already what the three of them were teaching me. And I am on cloud nine exceedingly considering that no matter how hard those things they were insisting for me to do, as luck would have it I am able to quickly pass through their trials. Especially the trick on how to make some things moved.“You’re now really good at it, Brother Harris. I am amazed on how fast you learned it.” Tonette jumped up and down while saying those compliments.“Of course, those who taught me were also excellent on it, especially to the special person for me who inspired me to do all the training.” I said passionately, while just staring at Dralia whose cheeks are now red.“Hey, my sister, you are blushing.” Tonette even tease
Chapter 50I really thought that we would be able to speed up our journey, given the fact that I already knew how to perform the abilities of a vampire. But here we are, we are still traveling in the middle of the rushing flow of water in the river. We almost slipped on the road we took. When in fact we can just jump up on every tree we cross along the path.“Dralia, is there really no other way we can think of as an alternative path?” I can’t keep to myself the question that’s bothering my mind right now.“Are you afraid of the rushing water in the river?” I stand properly. When she suddenly took one of my hands, and wrapped it around to her fingers.“It is not that, I’m just confused about what is the use of our training and all you have been teaching to me if we don’t use it now? We would rather get our feet wet than jump over every rock or tree we pass, wouldn’t we?” I
Chapter 51Tonette and I had a long talk, I presumed more like a couple of hours last night, it’s really a good timing that when I am being confused about something, the time agrees with me and that I have someone I can ask about it with. At random, I am embarrassed to ask on Dralia, because she might even think that I’m a very gossipy boyfriend. All I want is to know the things we are going to do or pursue.“I noticed the depth of your conversation with my younger sister last night,” Dralia began to speak, the other two were not next to us, because Tonette invited Kiloy to tag along with her to look for some wild animal, seeing that we were almost close of running out of our blood supplies. She caught my attention while I was in my deepest thoughts, when she suddenly spoke, I immediately turned my gaze to her.“Ahm, yes---. I just wanted to ask Tonette about some things last night, and then I suddenly woke u
Chapter 52“It is not raining anymore, we have to go now. So that the night will not catch up with us.” Dralia told us which immediately caught up our attention given that the rain had already stopped. We immediately got up from our bed, it was advantageous to us and we always carry our tent with us, so that we could have shelter during such unlucky times like this.“We are only a few kilometers close to the shores of Del Mundo, so you need to prepare yourself, the road we will take is not easy.” I felt nervous when Dralia said that. She seemed so serious when she said those words. It just only means that I need to prepare myself now for what I will be seeing the moment we step foot on that shore. We walked our way as fast as we could, we did not even talk to each other or even say a word. This time all I could think of was to finally see the shores of Del Mundo. What might it look like? Because according to Dralia
Chapter 53Night of darkness, that is what stuck in my brain even though we had just reached here on the top of this plateau. It only means that we are not in the Del Mundo Mountains yet, because I can’t see anything, if not just wide flats, big rocks, like that.“I have noticed that you were quiet there since earlier. Don’t you feel good? Are you dizzy? Were you tired of the steep climb we climbed earlier?” I shook my head quickly. Because that’s not really the real reason why I don’t bother to say a word since we arrived here.I wanted to ask her about what will going to happen in the night of darkness and what’s with it. But to my disappointment, I don’t have the courage to ask.“Even if you don’t say it, I know there’s something bothering you on your mind.” Did she immediately lose sight of the question I had asked her earlier? Or it could be that she is avoiding
Chapter 54“Are you nervous, Harris?” I constantly shake my head as if I am denying the feeling of disturbance inside me when in reality I can’t put a stop to my hands from uneasiness.I just turned away my gaze from her instead, because I couldn’t afford to look into her eyes, she might find out that I am not telling the truth for real about how I genuinely feel. She reached for one of my hands, which immediately made my eyes fixed attention on her hand that was now tightly holding my palm, and then she wrapped it around mine as if she was trying to say to me that I should not be afraid of anything, considering that she was just here next to me always.“Sister, I think we need to go down now the cliff,” Tonette told her older sister that brought me back from my deep thought. Dralia still has not let my hands go.“I’ll be the first to go down below, Princess Dralia. I will just make s
Chapter 55We now continued our game plan to go down from here on top of this plateau. When we finally managed ourselves to get down in here already, I now had the chance to see in person the disturbing situation that Kiloy and Tonette had found out the moment they first stepped a foot down here below. I was shocked when I saw it with my two eyes. They were right, many explosives were being spread evenly around this very cliff. I was a bit confused at first given that on the other side of this cliff, there are no such things as these being implanted. It seems that this is the only part that has this kind of trap. I am now wondering, who would have thought to put such dangerous items in here?“Did you come right here to the explosions before? What do you think so, Tonya? Who would have the guts to put this type of thing here at the foot of the cliff?” Dralia’s face was now serious when she asked those questions to her younger sister. W
